1. The ability to hook. 2. Character development 3. Love (Pure love) 4. Childhood friend love, however that is not the main protagonists love interest. 5. Enjoyment (of course!) Looking back, and directly at the two mangas, it's apparent that they're nothing alike. However, both are great to follow and allow you to watch your main protagonist learn about love, and about relationships. You get to see their personal struggles, and develop over time. Watashitachi ni wa Kabe ga Aru, features a young girl who confuses what love is. She manipulates this cold boy, to help her experience love for her phone novel series. There's a love triangle, that eventually is sorted out. Luckily this manga isn't about their love triangle, but is about the overall development of the protagonist and continues farther than the triangle. Each character has something to overcome. This isn't a typical shoujo, though at first glance you might think that. There comes a point though, once you sit in for the ride even more, those little nicks and knacks you see in the female protagonists ideas, are corrected by the author. What is similar is that this is indeed a love story, but unlike Watashitachi ni wa Kabe, Watashi ni xx Shinasai focuses on a few characters internal struggles (while still giving the protagonist her light.) They're both enjoyable reads. It's also farther into the series, and requires a bit of dedication to get the upmost enjoyment out of this, because the protagonist spends a great deal of time figuring out what love is.
