This is one of those little known series that deserve more recognition. It's also one of my favorite manga series (partly due to the fact that it's the first manga I've read) (or manhwa)

Story: 7/10
This series actually has a decent overall plot for a harem manga. It's definitely unique and no doubt has a lot of potential, but it does suffer from a somewhat episodic path, with no clear antagonists defined (as of now).

Art: 9/10
As expected of Lim Dall-Young and Lee Soo-Hyun, the artwork is essentially eye candy and is overall spectacular.

Characters: 8/10
I was pleasantly surprised with the characters, especially with a harem series. ... Instead of being a flat out loser, Setsuna is a kind and frail, but introverted high school student who suffers from a heart defect and views himself as nothing but a burden on his sister (who takes care of him and all of his hospital bills) and decides to take his own life. Then you have the beautiful and boisterous Kanna and the silent but caring Rena. Combine them with the popular and haughty Arima who has a tsundere personality and you have a wonderful cast of characters.

Enjoyment: 10/10

Overall: 9/10

Ultimately it's the spectacular art and the great characters that make this series so good. Unfortunately, it suffers from several harem clinches, but if you can overlook them, you have an enjoyable romance/harem series with a lot of potential on your hands.

The entire concept of the manga is simple; the plot is simple, the characters are simple, and the artwork is simple. However, don't let that turn you away from this lighthearted and somewhat predictable series. In this case, the simplicity is good, almost refreshing and combines for an overall enjoyable and heartwarming manga.

Story: 6/10
The story, like everything else, is simple. Kouta is your average 13 year old boy, nothing remarkable about him. His dad suddenly leaves because of work, leaving him alone for 6 months. On the same day, he meets a beautiful and eccentric 17 year old high school girl who suddenly decides to ... live with him. There is no real plot and the chapters are episodic and mostly focus on the progressing love triangle (or even square) between Kouta, the middle school "idol" , the female lead Natsuki, and even Natsuki's younger sister.

Art: 7/10
Not much to say here, the artwork is decent but simple. It won't amaze you but it's not bad either. Just simple.

Characters: 8/10
Like everything else so far in the series, the characters are fairly simple. The one exception is Natsuki. She is very eccentric and quirky and is a big reason why the manga is so enjoyable.

Enjoyment: 10/10

I thoroughly enjoyed the series. In case you didn't notice, the main focus throughout this review is the manga's simplicity. The series has a very lighthearted but bittersweet feel to it, which is only magnified by the happy but somewhat melancholy ending. The two things that could have made the manga a lot better is if the artwork was a little flashier and if the relationships between the characters (especially Natsuki and Kouta) were developed a little more. This is one of those rare series where everything is so simple it turns out to be a great and refreshing read.

After reading several reviews of Tasogare Otome X Amnesia and seeing them all pass it off as "fair" or "ok", I feel I have to defend it.

Story: 8/10

While getting lost inside his school, the main lead, Teiichi, is approached by a beautiful girl wearing an old school uniform. As he later finds out, she is the school's infamous ghost, Yuuko. The pair eventually fall in love and with the help of several friends, uncover the truth behind Yuuko's tragic past. While it is somewhat clinched and you can see some of the twists coming, it's hard not to get engrossed in the story ... and you can't not feel bad for Yuuko.

Art: 8/10

Silver Link has done a decent job of animating the series, while the animation isn't the best out there, it is pretty good. The entire series feels surreal, due to the superb lighting and the fact that it always seems to take place at twilight. Overall I was impressed yet again by Silver Link.

Sound: 10/10

The sound is what made this series great, in my opinion. The Opening and Ending songs are beautiful, unforgettable, and they fit the series extremely well. The music used in the show itself is also decent and fitting, but the opening and endings are what really caught my eye as far as the sound

Characters: 7/10

This is the one area where the series tends to falter. You have the main lead, Teiichi, who is somewhat irritating and whiny and shows very little character depth. Then you have Kirie and Okonogi who appear in the first few episodes and then seemingly disappear for most of the remaining episodes. The characters' saving grace, however, is Yuuko. She is very outgoing and is seemingly perfect (never gets angry/jealous, etc., but this is due to a reason) and she also has an incredibly tragic and horrible past. You can't help but feel bad for her. In addition, she also displays a good amount of depth throughout the series.

Overall

It is what it is. A decent love story, mystery, and horror series that despite it's flaws, manages to be an extremely good series overall. If you're looking for an entertaining romance series, I'd highly recommend this one.
