When did you start collecting your books? 800 is a lot! Is it just books you collected when you were young, bought from a giant lot, or inherited from someone else? If so, you had a good taste as a child, haha.

Chobits is my first CLAMP manga I've read, and I'll definitely be reading more. From the synopsis I thought it would be a very sappy romance manga but I'm glad it turned out to be so much more. It has actually gotten me to wonder if I would make the same choices as Hideki if I were living in a world with persocoms.

Do you have any other recommendations? Maybe regarding CLAMP manga or maybe regarding other publishers, ones that I might enjoy if I liked Chobits?

I see a lot of cool manga and anime in your favorites list that I still plan on reading/watching, like Clannad, Higurashi, Nana and Violet Evergarden. And you have read way way waayyy more manga than I have, so I've got lots of catching up to do haha.

If you have a Switch, I HIGHLY recommend to try Collar X Malice. I assure you, you will love it! All the LIs are gorgeous and all the routes highly enjoyable! If not, on Steam you can get Hakuouki which is also really good, if you like the idea of a historical setting with the shinsengumi mixed with some tame fantasy-horror elements! Hakuouki has also an anime that you can check, although I haven't watched it yet, so I can't say if it's as good as the game

Oh my bad! I'm still new to MAL so it took me a while to find where to look! And yes, I can see we have a lot in common that we like! And thank you: you've reminded me that I still need to read Fruits Basket! XD

Shoujo mangas are def my favourite too, but I try to read a bit of everything just to be able to follow conversations about them I guess :P

I'm currently reading Kamisama Hajimemashita and I'm really loving it! I think they should make an otome game out of it haha (I'm a big otome game fan too :P). Do you like otome games? :)

I have a lot too, so we're sure to find a lot to talk about!^^
Among my favourite ones are: Boku no chikyuu wo mamotte (I think this one is still my very favourite one but it's definitely not a mainstream title), Mars, Fushigi yuugi, Magic Knight Rayearth, Chobits (and almost every other manga by CLAMP, but those two are def my fav), Kareshi Kanojo no jijou, Haikara-san ga touru, Georgie, Marmalade Boy, Kodomo no omocha, Mahou no Tenshi Creamy Mami, Inuyasha...

I also love shounen (like Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE) seinen (Gunnm or Battle Angel Alita is my favourite manga ever) and josei (I really loved Nana), and my fav mangaka are CLAMP (I love their art style a lot and I liked most of their works).

Hi there and nice to meet you! I'm a proud old weeb too, and Sailor Moon was my very first shoujo manga at the age of 14, so I grew up same age with Usagi! I still own and treasure all the first prints for my country (Italy). I see a lot of other titles I love in your lists! :)

yessssss omg someone who understands !!!! My goal ( dream ) is to make a anime that's 90's style like sailor moon and kodocha but since they are from that time its rare to see a behind the scenes of how they did things and made it look so amazing ! I can't stand cocomelon style stuff that they are pushing out these days and I know many anime lovers would love to see that style brought back
