Horimiya is as wide as the ocean but as deep as a puddle.
Horimiya was a disappointment for me, such an acclaimed manga made me want to vomit while reading it. The first few chapters are nice, Hori and Miyamura have a nice context and I thought the manga would develop through it, but then the story leaves that context, and that's fine, maybe it will progress later. But no, the manga is a cycle of throwing random characters into the scene. Characters who are the height of idiocy, none of whom act like human beings. I'm not talking about looking realistic, but about having characteristics,
...
stories, feelings and actions of their own. Several characters could have lived the situation of another completely different character and it would still make sense, since they have no depth.
---------------------------------------------- This is the thing that i hate the most in Horimiya:
After just a few chapters, the manga begins this vicious cycle: it tells a little about character 1 in one chapter, then does the same thing with character 2 in the next, then 3, then 4, then 5, then, look! A chapter with Hori and Miyamura, the main characters! Then go back to 1, and repeat...
If you want to tell several stories, make them interesting, they last so little and have so little impact on the “main story” that I can't be bothered to care enough about them.
----------------------------------------------
Out of nowhere, SO MANY characters COMPLETELY change their personalities that I felt the author only wrote what would be easiest. Speaking of the main story, I don't even know what it is anymore, because Hori and Miyamura started to have the most ordinary relationship possible (obviously, apart from the characters from Hori's family acting like children's cartoon characters, which i dont really care). In one particular chapter, Miyamura's mother appears asking about Hori, showing that she already knew about her. Miyamura is surprised and his mother asks the two of them to meet. Miyamura agrees and leaves. Maybe you think like me and would think that something will happen with this situation. Will it? No, it's left aside. :)
But the biggest problem for me really is that vicious cycle, various problems of various characters are presented, none are developed, none have a specific arc (This wouldn't be a problem, if it was done right) but I can't care about them if they don't last, they aren't deep, and the characters seem empty, since almost none have enough history for you to really understand their way of acting and what differentiates them from others, both in personality and actions.
I can't say that Horimiya was completely bad, it left my heart warmed and it has some good moments, but they're not enough to make me ignore the bad ones. Most readers will probably like it if it's one of the first romance manga they've read. But honestly, there are so many similar manga that do the job so much better that I can't recommend Horimiya to someone who really wants to read a good romance novel.
Souta is the only good character.

Best horror anime i have ever watched.
Jokes aside, Toradora is the best romance anime i have ever watched, i love it with my heart. All the characters are believable, they arent annoying, they are dumb, they are kids (and adults) that make mistakes a lot of times, that impact every other character. The soundtrack is amazing, lost my pieces is a masterpiece. The story is crazy good. I dont think i could ever watch a romance that will have the same impact toradora had to me. My best advice to anyone who havent watched toradora is: Watch it.
Toradora is an anime that keeps my heart
...
warm. I think that the only thing i would change, is that the majority of the characters dont notice things happening in the front of them, the main ones, mostly. But even that, i think contritubes to the narrative, and if changed, could make it worse. Honestly, the thing i would absolutely change, is that i want a sequence...

This is one of those manga in which each chapter is a situation and the stories don't usually go from one to the next (apart from the fact that the characters obviously change / mature and still think about these situations). Each chapter has a food involved, which is usually made in an irori at Alice's house, I thought that was cool, sometimes there are also tips on working in the countryside, chopping wood, collecting bamboo shoots, etc.
Although I think these panels and explanatory texts about the food are nice, they annoy me when I really care more about the story. It's like those anime
...
where, in an important scene, they don't play the opening. There have been times when I've just skipped these parts, since none of them interfere with the story to the point of being mandatory.
I thought the manga was very good, I missed more parts of Nonaka's story, it seems that those problems she had were only temporary and easily left in the past. I didn't like the ending as much either, it didn't seem to have much impact. But that's just me. It's a good manga, quick, short, everything works, friendship and love, that's it.

This is a short manga about a guy that a girl has arranged for her sister, the two are 8 years apart, the guy being the youngest. It's a 14-chapter manga, sweet but serious, cute and heartwarming. I've been reading A LOT of romance novels, and I'm tired of nothing happening in any of them, the kiss is always either at the end or it doesn't happen at all, it's always some “I wonder if he likes me...” bullshit in every chapter, even though the two obviously love each other. That's what happens in this manga, but it's resolved, because they're not children and they
...
know how to act like human beings, AND THINGS DO HAPPEN!!!
The artwork is simple but fulfills its purpose, it's cute. The story is very good, the characters are distinctive and interesting. Overall, it's a good manga, no masterpiece of romance, but a great story.

almost spoilers!!! It's a short manga, go read it, it'll take up an hour of your day at most.
I've finished the 46 chapters that have come out so far. This is a manga about the relationship between... classmates? friends? lovers? Anyway, they're both perverts, and every chapter is a healthy competition to make each other as horny as possible, or to put each other in an erotic position or situation, even if it's something “ordinary”. The two of them gradually develop “feelings” (which are really only hinted at between the lines, but you can clearly see it) and become jealous of each other, causing situations
...
where the characters ask themselves: “What are we?” “Does she/he only look at me with perversion for perversion's sake or because she/he likes me? I only like looking at boys/girls if it's him/her...”.
I can talk about how well the manga portrays teenage horniness. I've seen some people say “It's exaggerated”. I didn't think so. They both knew that they liked seeing each other in erotic situations, so they took advantage of it, each with their own way of perceiving eroticism and expressing it. The way I'm saying it, it sounds like a Shakeaspeare novel... The manga certainly has its problems and I'm not saying it's a masterpiece, but it's so short, and so silly, that I'd feel bad judging it too harshly.
Despite everything, the most important thing is that the manga is really funny, it's been a while since I've laughed at such nonsense, I'll definitely read the next chapters.

Fuan no Tane is a collection of mini-horror stories. I started reading it because of a particular panel that was really cool and well-drawn. I started reading it thinking that the stories would have some specific context, or something to tie them together. But no, they're just single stories, and that in itself isn't a problem, the problem is that there's no build-up to the stories, they're just specific events that have the potential to become a complete story. Every story I read and found interesting I thought: “Imagine a game of this!” “This would be good in a movie” “I wish there was a
...
complete manga for this story...”.
Unfortunately, the manga focuses 90% on shocking and weird visuals, and only 10% on having any meaning behind it. If you just want to see pretty artwork and have a manga to read at a glance, this is an okay manga for that. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a good horror story.

Nisekoi is a classic, a cliché that brings together everything that a basic harem romance anime has and puts it into a single work. Some would say that's a problem, I think it's the opposite, Nisekoi plays the same game as everyone else, but better. Is it a romance with comedy? No, it's a comedy with romance. Don't go in expecting scenes that will make you cry and make you emotional, although this does happen, especially in the last few episodes.
The story of the anime is as follows: Ichijo is the son of a yakuza boss who, in order to avoid war, has to pretend
...
to be dating a girl who is also the daughter of gangsters, but American, Chitoge. They don't get on so well, since Ichijo has already taken a liking to a girl who also likes him, Onodera, even though neither of them knows it. Ichijo, ten years ago, made a promise to a girl he can't remember who, that he would keep a padlock with him that the two of them would open when they met again, so any girl who had a key would perhaps be the girl of the promise. He later found out that Onodera had a key, but so did Chitoge. That's the primary love triangle. And it would be nice if that was all there was to it. But soon, another girl appears, who is simply left out for the rest of the series, Chitoge sidekick, which honestly was my favorite, she just becomes a secondary joke, unfortunately. Then, at the end of the first season, a forced character appears, Marie, who also has a key! This story of the keys is left aside and then comes back to the forefront several times, which is kind of boring and doesn't do much for the story. I'd remove it completely if I could.
Nisekoi uses a lot of visual changes to represent emotions and feelings in the anime, they change the art style several times, play with colors, making them more or less vivid, and they do it very well. One thing that makes me angry is that in every frame the characters are blushing with embarrassment, it really gets dull after several times.
The sound is nothing special, although the openings are good.
I like the characters, they're all clichés and “deres” but they fulfill their roles very well.
You know those school texts that are written just to use as examples of grammar rules, etc? That's what Nisekoi is, it brings together various mechanics and themes and uses them in a single anime, and it does it very well. The beach episode, the festival episode, the part where they are stranded alone and found in an indecent position, everything you can imagine from cliché scenes is in Nisekoi.
The story of Nisekoi itself is not good, I'm not going to lie, it's shallow but it tries to be complicated, and it fails, if I just read it, I would never watch it, but the anime does an incredible job and makes this story good. But they can't work miracles, it would be better if there was more depth in characters like Tsugumi, Shu, Ruri, who were left out to make room for the damn keys...
I laughed with Nisekoi, I certainly enjoyed it, maybe I'd be more strict with Nisekoi if it sold itself as a romance anime, but it's not, it's a comedy disguised as a romance. And as a comedy, it's a very good anime.
I'll definitely watch the next season.

Yesterday Wo Utatte begins with Rikuo, a part-time worker in a convenience store who can barely pay his bills. He has been in love since before that with a high school classmate, Shinako, who left town but has now returned as a teacher, without Rikuo knowing it. Soon, another character appears, Haru Nonaka, an extravagant girl with a raven, who only appeared in the store to steal small items or to annoy Rikuo and his coworker. At first you don't think anything of it, but you quickly realize how well the two get along, you can see that Haru likes Rikuo, who doesn't know it
...
yet. Then Shinako shows up, disturbing Haru, and making Rikuo's love return. But to compete with Rikuo in winning over Shinako, there's Rou Hayakawa. Basically, Haru wants Rikuo, Rikuo wants Shinako, and so does Rou. Then various characters appear and come in and out of this circle. This is a coming-of-age manga, it's incredible, all the characters mature, change both physically and mentally, cry, break down, fix themselves, and change their minds, their opinions. You're sure to become attached to a character and see yourself in them.
I love this manga because the characters have problems, and they actually deal with them, they don't just fix them and that's it, they won't show up again. No, they'll show up, since they're part of the character's story, they'll stay with them forever, just like in real life.
It's a manga that talks about indecision, stress, the affliction you get as a teenager or young adult, problems at college, school, work, relationships, marriage, pets, health problems, problems with your brother, problems with your father or mother, the feeling of simply wanting to get away from it all, of wanting to be able to go back to the past. Of making mistakes and knowing you've made a mistake, regretting it, or never even knowing it. You may be irritated by some of the characters' attitudes, thinking that their relationships are toxic, and they are, that's the point.
Now to the objective points:
Art: 10/10, Dont know why, but especially the characters, are drawn amazingly, i love Kei Toume artstyle. Pay attention to the features of the characters, they say a lot, perhaps even more than in the speech balloons.
Story: 10/10. I couldn't ask for more. Some say the end was rushed, i dont think so, you can see Rikuo chaning his mind many times in the series, and maturing, as it should.
Characters: 10/10. You love some, hate others, don't care about others, they come and go. Kei Toume has done an excellent job here.

Bleach will probably be the most subjective review i will ever write on this site. I read this manga in a very specific period of my life, not a sad time, not a happy one, but an important one. I felt like a little kid reading it, every chapter expecting the next transformation of Ichigo, or the bankai of the ones i havent seen, or how the fights ended. I read it until the Thousand-Year Blood War, which i watched the anime after that, the character design is amazing, all the taichous are badass as fuck, shinji story is incredible, fullbringer arc is amazing, the
...
"Save the soul society, Kurosaki Ichigo" was my wallpaper for a long time, but before that i used the first menos grande ripping the sky as wallpaper, bleach panels are incredible, Aizen is the coolest villain i have ever seen, when you read any of the parts where they discover his plans, its so good.
Bleach, with its 600+ chapters, were my only time of the day were i wasnt stressed, and i could really enjoy what i was doing. Bleach made me dive into the world of mangas and then anime, i discovered the best pieces of art i could ever ask for because of that. For me, it will always be a 10, a masterpiece that i like to share with other people, the best shonen i have ever heard of.
Now, trying to get away from the subjective part:
Art: 9/10, i could show you my folder with more than 150 bleach panels downloaded, some of them are just a conversation that i find cool, but most of them are incredible art, many from battles, many from bankais, many from tragic/unexpected moments (Aizen and Hinamori, for example).
Story: 9.5/10 I take .5 out because you need to pay 100% of attention to what is being said and/or made in the panels, trust me, the panels you may think are useless, are a core part of the story, that reveals 9000 plots, etc. Some people may find that bad because you cant just turn off your brain and read it.
Characters: 9/10 The design of them? 10/10. But many are forgotten and only remembered in later arcs, or not even remembered, i can understand that, 600 chapters is a lot. But each of them has its own traits, and for me, what stand out the most is how their powers (bankai, etc) is a reflex of some part of that character, their clothing, their personality, etc. You WILL find one that you find the coolest and will hype it the most. For me, it was Shinji, Sado and Urahara.
Enjoyment: 10/10.

This series has been a part of my life. It's incredible, the best sports manga and anime I've ever seen in my entire life. I can't complain about anything, the art has evolved along with the manga, the story is incredible. It would be a 10, but I had to drop the manga. Unfortunately, I can't read this manga every week, and this series will only end when the creator dies, which wouldn't be a problem for me, but the story repeats itself a lot after chapter 1000. Yes, exciting things happen, but I can't feel the excitement of watching one part of the story
...
and waiting a week to see the rest. Maybe someday, if the creator finishes the series, for whatever reason, I will definitely read it.
