Thanks. I'm usually met with confusion since you either got the crowd that loves shounen for being shounen-y and ignores some of the issues I have (to continue to get their fix of action), or the crowd that love serious romances but seem more in love with the concept and hype around it instead of the execution and emotions it elicits with it's thoughtfulness.
Your lie in april was a pretty weird show for me when I watched it because it basically tried to absolve an abusive parent, spent a lot of time showing CG piano hands to represent the MC's struggle instead of showing it in more creative ways, and the tear jerker of it all kinda didn't hit that hard since they spent less time on building to the climax/the big cliffhanger of the show and more time just kinda reiterating the same issues and traits. March Comes In Like a Lion did a way better job with a similar character - but Your Lie In April is recommended a lot more over it.
I just kinda like whatever tickles my fancy and still give other genres and premises, that I'm somewhat Jaded by, a fair go. If it's fun or chill, I give it 7-8. If it give me spin tingles, 9-10. I do kinda shy away from action shows, since I'm more of a RomCom/World Building Fantasy guy, but I'm still a sucker for shows like bleach and demon slayer which feel less overextended and more tailored to young adults (well with bleach, my issues were it being 50% recap at some point) like naruto and one piece does. But ye, once you watch a lot of anime, you kinda reach a point where you have to admit sometimes you like trashy shows for no reason and your tastes are no longer the same as casual watchers XD
How'd ya find me anyways?
How'd you describe your tastes?
