Iconic Comedy x thriller anime both have a really interesting main storyline both have some funny/ comedy elements both have really interesting & funny characters both are multiple-protagonist story (although we do have the main protagonist in both story, lots of plots happens around side characters and are depicted in detail. This happens a lot in dorohedoro and Golden Kamuy season 3

1. Shonen Jump. Hyped show 2. Uses brain to fight, not just yelling 3. Very memorable and likeable character. If you are fangirling Todoriki (like I do!) you will began to fangirl Killua in HxH (like I also do!). 4. Easy to set into. The story lures you in However, HxH is better than BHA for the following reasons, and if you are BHA fan, you should def try HxH cuz you would love it! 1. Power system. HxH has one of the best power system among all Shonen manga. It is complex, but makes very much sense. 2. Uses brain more than yelling. In BHA, the tournament arc (and license arc) was really good in terms of using brain to fight, I really enjoyed it so I rated it really high. BUT in later arc, this become less and less, especially in the season 4 arc, yell louder = more powerful become a lot more frequent. You won't see this in HxH since the major fights in HxH are all 'brain-fight' more than 'power-contest' I highly recommend these two show. If you are BHA fan there's high chance you will like HxH, same goes other way round

Psycho-Pass

Similarity: 1. Issue that they are focusing on. Both Shinsekai yori and Psycho-Pass wants to discuss similar thing, essentially, humanity. What is humanity? What makes you a human? How should society be composed? Those are the core of the two anime/ what they want to discuss 2. Genre-- dank fantasy set in a futurist world. really dark... ohh what I can say about these two... they are just really really dark and gives you depression (in a gd way!) In terms of 'darkness', shinsekai yori will be darker when you reach the end. Send freaking chills down my spine Difference 1. Psycho-pass is more thriller-action based. You won't see that much thriller in Shinsekai Yori. The lack of 'thriller' in Shinsekai Yori is also the major reason why people dropped it 2. Characters. Characters in Shinsekai Yori are kids (will grow up in laterlater chapter), which also makes it more eerie :/ Psycho-pass has nicer-good-looking characters. 3. Shinsekai Yori is more 'eerie' than Psycho-pass. You will feel an uncomfortable and unsettling atmosphere in Shinsekai Yori while you won't see this is psycho-pass. This is also why I say Shinsekai has a 'darker' plot Which one is better? I personally enjoyed Psycho-Pass more because lol im a superficial person who loves thriller and goodlooking characters attracts me. However, in terms of depth in the discussion of 'humanity', i'll give credit to Shinsekai Yori.

Itazura na Kiss

These two are very very similar in many many aspects 1. Both about a life-long romance relationship. Typically in anime it's just highschool romance, but in these two, both proceeds to university and career (Itatsura even proceed to having baby lmao)! In Itatsura, main characters later became doctor and nurse, and in Nodame Cantabile --pianist and conductor. If you are craving to watch in a sweet relationship that won't make you go 'Ughhhh WHY DID IT END SO SOON I WANT MORE!' then only these two will satisfy you! 2. Female and male protagonist both have similar characteristic. Male character being quite 抖S(which in English means being high-up and a bit arrogant at time) but have soft-spot for our female character). While the female character being positive, like a little sun and melt the 'iceberg' 3. Decent plot that really drags you in into the character's life. Itatsura no kiss is probably the most famous shojou manga out there with coutless movie/ TV show, that's because the characters' personalities are very iconic and we all love the way the plot was laid out. While in Nodame Cantabile, the plot also proceed in a very comfortable pace and do not have anything awkward. 4. THE FEELING OF LIVING THEIR LIFE. Idk if you have this feeling when you finish watching an anime...after witnessing the character finishing off their life journey, it feels like you just finished living through a life-time and you just want to linger there for longer! That's the feeling I got when I finished these two...and only in these two among all 200 something anime that I have watched. Sometimes I often ask myself, so which one is better? The answer I will give is Nodame Cantabile for solely two reason. Nodame Cantabile has a much nicer art style and the plot is a bit more mature than Itatsura. Although I believe if you enjoy either one of them, you will enjoy the other one!

Both slice-of-life shows filled with character's complex emotions Both has discussion of similar topics -- people w/ talent and people without. 3-gatsu in my opinion is more depressed and thorough while Hyouka discussed those topics in a implicit (as in it's 'wrapped' under the detective surface) and realistic way (you can empathise to characters more)

Ginga and Junni Kokuki are often recognised as best fantasy novels in Japan, with philosophical meaning & thinkings that impressed many. They are works which left you with complex thought about our current world after you have finished it Both has excellent world-building and some of the best character development Both are old-class anime which means the art style are old. Often time people find it hard to adapt to the art style (even though the plot is top-tier). Art style is a barrier. But if you managed to get through one, you will probably find no problem with the other.
