A weird chinese animation show that combines "classic" chinese martial art fantasy with futuristic/ sci-fi elements. The MC gets teleported to alternativ worlds where the MC must fight and climb to the top.

The premiss kind of mirrors the opening / ost where we get traditional instruments like guqin and flute with hip hop and rock.

Although the animation is in 3d and can get "clunky", the martial art moves are quite amazing, the same with the setting/ plot. The animation quality kind of reminds you the cut scenes from a game, I like it and hopefully you guys can give it a try

The opening is lit and the singer is a V-tuber. The story is simple with a cheat system and "levels" from A to F, just like most of martial arts / cultivation series.
As of Ep.4 this show feels more like a parody of wuxia / xianxia genre where the MC is first and foremost a troll rather than a "cultivator". Kind of like Konosuba for the Isekai genre, you have to have read or watched other wuxia/ xianxia / xuanhuan series to get all the overused tropes.

A random guy says Nice to meet you? - How happy can you be to see ... me~
An old man trying to find a disciple and teach his swordstyle? - No thanks~
Getting a skill worth 900kg strength? - Already got a flying sword at first try~
A cheat gatcha system? - pulls stinky tofu 24/7 etc. etc.

It may have a weird pacing and the humor can be dry, but still I find it enjoyable.

Short and simple:
If you hate philosophy or "wannabe" philosophers, you might as well just drop it...
The pace is quite slow, with many flashbacks, quite "illogical" reasonings with some weird futuristic machines.

Be warned though, their dialog isn't "normal", even though these characters are from the architecture faculty and meets computer engineers/ programmers, they're more like a bunch of people ranting about random/ umpredictable things like: You can't smoke while underwater... Some people might be offended by this, while other people might like it and say "wow, that's philosophical!"

But at the same time the locked room case isn't that bad... Don't get scared ... because of haters who give this show score 1 x) Though i have to say, this show is weird and not for those who want to watch "a (logical) grandiose intricate scheme"
PS: I'd prefer Shinsekai yori if you are looking for dark schemes and Hyouka if you like light mood mystery anime!

I guess my conclusion is that the show was so-so. I liked the author and the art was appeasing. The opening and ending was enjoyable so i guess this show was a "fair" one - 6

The story was quite compressed since it only got 13ep. It's a bit like Jojo, some people will tolerate the unique feeling around the series, and cherish it/ love it. And ofc there are people who will hate it, either it is because of the slow pace, the fragmented flashbacks or the characters... I personally enjoyed it, and i hope people would give it a try. (If you want to watch a gory/ action anime and doesn't get sick of insects).

Ok... I guess it's kinda because i'm writing a review many years after the anime aired, but still it was 2010! (...) I can't help but feel disappointed... Because I have "survived" many older series that had better plot, soundtracks, art etc.

So when i started to read the wikipedia page about Loups=Garous it felt like an awesome anime. But the film doesn't mention viruses, an dystopic world or a post-apocalyptic one, you have to read the synopsis to realise that they are living in a "dystopic world where their faces must be covered" I didn't feel anything special about the characters, even though they ... met each other in person, i couldn't see anything from their facial expression that indicated that meetings like that was something unusual/ forbidden!
The film was quite slow and didn't felt like a mystery, thriller or something "dark." Instead the atmosphere was kinda happy, with cute "mascots" and pretty girls x)
The biggest problem i guess about the characters is that they don't start to evolve, i guess they are quite static, the main character can't do anything and always just stands there/ sits down -.- They don't have any depths, we don't know anything about their background... Sure we get a flashback, but it's still quite vague..
The only thing that i really liked was the "sound," perhaps it's because of the rocking soundtracks x)
