I really liked this show.
'Liked' being the key word, honestly I wanted to watch more of this show and everyone has recommended it and praised it for being so good and I admit that it is a very well written show. The characters are each likeable in their own way and the story and pacing is very engaging because it never slows down or wastes time.
BUT
the one thing that just ruined it for me was when Yusuke is fighting an enemy woman and then he realises that she has a penis and she says that in her heart she is a woman he ... says "don't do things half-assed, make both your heart and your body a woman." in most anime they would either misunderstand what trans people are or make a character that is supposed to make fun of trans people but in Yu Yu Hakusho he just straight up makes a blatantly transphobic statement that's supposed to sound 'heroic'. I tried to watch more of it but I just couldn't stand the horrible transphobia.

I do not hate anyone who still enjoys this show if you are not bothered by it then that's fine but this is a warning to anyone who will be bothered by it and does not want to support it.

I Think this movie is a great addition to the series and it did an amazing job at setting a backstory for all might and new characters to the series that could play a huge roll next season (I hope). I HIGHLY recommend watching it in theatres, watching it with so many people was an experience on it's own and just the quality of the movie is much more appreciated on the big screen.
The animation is probably some of the best I've seen in any anime movie especially the fight scenes, it was like the entire movie was sakuga, they were just so fluid and ... was so nice to look at.
My only problem was that at times it felt like it could have just been a 3 or 4 episode sub-arc but I'm glad they made it into a movie.

It's not the best anime movie and it didn't make me emotional but as an addition to the series it is amazing. 9/10

"What a great 15 episode show" is what I said after watching the ending episodes and immediately forgetting them. I really want to think of this show as just the 15 episodes because they were actually getting pretty good and then everything after that

it was just disappointing mainly because everything before that was actually good, the world building, the character development were really good and then they ruined it. Overall if you are going to watch it, it has great visuals and animation (especially the fight scenes) and the music is pretty great. you should probably watch it just for the 15 episodes that were good. If you are just looking for a good mecca anime that is animated well and has good fight scenes then maybe you will enjoy it.

if it was as good as the first half for the ending this would get a much higher score but because it was such a disappointment and I was even looking forward to it, this is the score I will give it.
