A Silent Voice, What can I say. The ending had me sobbing for hours. The thought put into the story to give credit to the manga, It's intuitive story telling and it's effectiveness at establishing a connection between viewer and protagonist. A Silent Voice is a disguised redemption story that shows an ex-bully trying to right his wrongs before he kills himself, Setting a goal for the movie that's anticipated throughout watching. The beautiful relationships built and the way that these relationships are communicated to the audience with the x's on peoples faces to set the tone of the communication Shoya initiates with them. If you're close to him to the point he trusts you and feels comfortable, You won't have one. Although get on his wrong side or if you don't know him at all, He won't even look you in the eye. A Silent Voice in my opinion is a great anime to recommend to your friends who haven't watched anime before and to those odd few that still haven't watched this masterpiece.
