SPOILER FREE REVIEW
This review covers the 22 episodes of Konosuba (2 seasons and 2 OVAS) since both seasons are in every aspect identical (though the drop in the animation quality seems pretty notable to me in the second season).
Konosuba is for a lot of people a very hard anime to review simply because there is no secret formula to review comedy series and because not everybody in the planet shares the same sense of humor but i'm not one of those guys, Konosuba is not as innocent as it seems ergo it should be ready to receive harder hits due to it's own nature, the
...
synopsis and the genre labels are not wrong but they are not complete either, what the synopsis and the genre labels forget to mention is that the fanservice amount in this series is HUGE and that part is extremely important.
Konosuba is another one of those animes that belong to the INSANELY famous/infamous "Isekai"sub-genre and to my eyes Konosuba brings absolutely nothing new to the table, i have to mention i'm not a well versed person in this sub-genre at all and even i can tell this show is nothing special.
Recently i've seen fans of this show saying Konosuba is a better choice than other Isekai animes because it explores a "whole new perspective" that hasn't been touched ever, hell, i've even read several comments of people that to go as far as saying this anime is a deconstruction, they say the idea of a show where the protagonist travels to a whole new world and he actually choses to stay and struggle instead of trying desperately to find his way out is as revolutionary as Utena, but sadly this is false, the same idea was explored in No Game No Life and the concept was touched superficially in nothing more and nothing less than SAO so i don't know exactly where such idea came from.
To keep this review short ill say this show uses the exact same formula over and over and over again, the jokes are basically always the same, since they grow from the same roots it would be dumb to expect otherwise, these roots are the unidimensional characters, we have the dumb and almost useless goddess who always ruins everything, the EXTREMELY pervert and masochist paladin, the nini-hikikomori protagonist (who is also insanely pervert) and the crazy girl with a cronic addiction to sniffing C4 that also enjoys giving weird names to everything she founds, what the hell? Chunchunmaru and Chomosuke? lol
Moving out to the technical section, well... i try not to be superficial and to not judge a book by it's cover but the music is forgettable, the character desing is generic and simplistic for at least all of the secondary characters and the animation is TERRIBLE but since the animation part seems to be on purpouse i'll leave to you to be the judge and deliberate if that is good or bad. Does that animation and character desing improve the comical aspect of the series? it's up to you and only you pal.
The real and honest reason a lot people actually started watching Konosuba is nothing more and nothing less that... oh yeah buddy you know that, say it with me, don't be shy ¡¡¡THE DELICIOUS NUTRUTIOUS FANSERVICE!!! ¡¡¡YEAH BOIIIII!!! back in 2016 anime forums and Facebook groups were filled to the top with pictures of Aqua going commando and GIFS of this anime and his... particular jiggle physics, well Konosuba is not the only sinner who caught adepts by using this metod, another insanely popular anime this year did exactly the same thing, getting massive for having a very "complex plot", i'm talking to you Mr. Kobayashi, the point here is that showing some skin really helps to become massive (lol) and that point is one of the main reasons i judge this anime much more seriously, well we also have the fact that some villians are supossed to be though guys but end up being pathethic cartoons and that the world is insanely small, everything spins around the main 4 since nobody outside of them achives nothing special.
Watch this anime if you like: NGNL, SAO, Overlord, Mondaiji tachi, etc.
Don't watch this if you look for alternative experiences when it comes to animation, you are gonna get dissapointed.

I have no doubt that RE:Zero is probably one of worst anime of the decade, and one of the worst i've seen in my life, how can a piece of work that only has 25 episodes be so incredible bad and mediocre? How is it possible this anime fails at every single thing it tries to incorporate in such a terrible way?
What is RE:Zero? what is what this anime tries to be? at the start of episode 1 i got the feeling this anime was a parody, it's clearly conscious of the Isekai genre clichés yet this anime ends up doing later exactly what it
...
just mentioned moments ago, i don't understand, am i supposed to find that funny? am i supposed to find the retarded behavior of the MC funny? people find characters with chameleonic personality are considered cool these days? you can feel your brain cells dying at an incredible speed while watching this anime and their characters interacting.
But that's ok, Re:zero is not a parody or a comedy anime, that's fine, is this a romance anime then? No, the special ability our main character has leaves no room to the development of the other characters or their relationships ergo the character chemistry is terrible and inorganic, only a retarded teenager who has no idea how real human relationships work will think this romance is well done.
But that's ok? This is not a parody or a romance anime, is this some senseless action series then, like Gurren Lagann or Kill la Kill? Nope, this series takes itself waaaaaaay too seriously, it's way too edgy, it's impossible to say this anime is just pure and senseless action, so it fails again here, if this is not enough for you then let me mention that the battle sequences doesn't make any sense at all either, i want this review to be spoiler free but if i have to put an example i'd say watch ep. 3 if you have more than 4 completely functional brain cells you'll notice what i'm talking about.
So ok, this is not a parody, a romance anime or an action series, is this a psychological thriller then? all the characters are extremely simple, as generic as they can be, in this wonderful anime you'll find: the maid lolis, generic waifus who love our beta MC for no good reason, traps, furries, drill lolis, that other thing... you know that thing with the green hair, the uni-dimensional psycho, etc.
The audiovisuals are not even good either, the colour palette is a extremely poor choice, the music is ok but it's forgettable and character design is as generic as the personality of the characters.
We have another pathetic and generic Isekai anime, just another Konosuba, Overlord, Mondaiji-tachi, SAO, No Game No Life, etc.... don't waste even 20 seconds of your time in this insult to the humankind.

-This review has little spoilers-
I found Princess Tutu short time after finishing PMMM, just like a lot of people surely did, PMMM left a mark on me and i wanted to experience another similar animes, being Princess Tutu one of those series that is in the podium when it comes about Mahou Shoujo animes, later when i started watching this i realized that this anime has a lot of occidental influence in many aspects, this is actually good since people who are not fond to anime can enjoy it. (and should watch it since most of the occidental animated series these days are nothing
...
but crap).
When i started this anime i was expecting something kind of dark but heartwarming at the same time and i was correct but i must say i never expected to find an anime with such an incredible story, and even when i didn't feel like i got 100% attached to it it can't be denied that this anime is an absolute 10/10 in terms of story at least.
Unluckily not everything is as perfect or amazing as the story we are introduced at the beginning. Let's start with the characters. Even when they are not bad at all definitely i didn't felt much sympathy for them at least at the beginning, i couldn't really find them truly human or relatable, the way they acted made no sense to me sometimes, even when the evolution they receive is good. This anime uses multiple times the same joke which is very funny at the beginning but starts to become boring and predictable later on.
Let's talk about the audiovisuals.
The animation is very decent considering how old this anime is, the dance sequences are absolutely gorgeous 10/10.
The music, this anime uses the legendary work of the god Piotr Tchaikovsky as the choice for it's music, technically the music would be a 12/10 but for obvious reasons it would be unfair, so i don't think i can just give it a 10, on the other side the OP is one of the best i've seen in my entire life, it's unique and magic, sadly the ED is forgettable and insipid.
The colour palette is not the wisest choice but it works nicely.
What i mentioned early are small problems this anime has, the real problem with this anime is it's pacing. at the beginning of the second part of the anime the series struggles really, really, really hard to keep going, we have episodes that barely help to the development of the plot and have a repetitive and predictable formula: Kraehe or Myuuto try to bring yummy delicious nutritious food (human hearts) to the evil crow then our heroes come and save the day at the very last moment, doesn't help the fact that some of these secondary characters that are introduced are not important at all or are boring as hell. Princess tutu at this point has to introduce multiple characters to get out of the hole and be able to move again, at least 3 characters have to appear to save this anime, but i gotta say this anime redeems itself at the last 4 episodes, the closer you get to the end the better it gets, you start to feel closer to the main characters and to understand their struggle and desperation.
I would say this anime suffers from the common affliction "being too long for it's own good".
I would recommend this anime if you are looking something unique with a remarkable story.

Hi, this is my first review in MAL, english is not my native language so please try to understand.
Baccano! is a very popular anime among the american anime fans, why? because its based in certain period in american history, the Prohibition Era, a period many people finds interesting but i don't like because movies or series based in that period usually look way too sad and melancholic, always the same colours, always the same kind of music, always involves mafias, etc.
If you are a person who likes series that are different and have an unique narrative style you are going to like Baccano! a lot,
...
the story is about italian gangsters, thugs, alchemists, monsters and immortals, Baccano says about itself it doesn't have a beginning or an end, but... i disagree!!, the story begins in 1711 when a group of alchemists find the secret of eternal life, and the end of the series is very clear too.
For me different doesnt mean automatically good, Baccano is different, just that, i cant really find characters interesting or outstanding, they lack development maybe except for one girl but that girl has like zero personality, and Isaac and Miria the favourites of a lot of people are just used to lower the tension of some moments, the fact Baccano only has 16 episodes doesnt mean the characters cant evolve, plus their personalities or the way they react to certain situations is by no means realistic or interesting, i cant really understand people when they talk about the charisma of these characters i can be sure im gonna forget all of them in like 2-3 years.
The design of the characters is good, they look nice, but the animation is one of the worse ive seen in my life, there's a moment in episode 3 when this guy (Firo) literally dissapears, that made me laugh, hell it was mediocre and pathetic but funny, Baccano has a lot of fights, action and blood so the animation should be A LOT better. I usually dont let bad animations influence the score i give to an anime but i want to be honest, the music is good but its forgettable, except for the Opening: Gun's & Roses by Paradise lunch which is amazing, truly amazing.
The structure in this anime is interesting and very good but there are a lot of coincidences and the characters are boring AF, they are the way they are just because "fuck yeah" but well thats what happens when you put 14 Main characters in a 13 episodes series. About the 3 OVAS being fully honest they shouldn't even exist but ok.
To finish i would say Baccano! is the anime you are looking for if you are an "anime fan" who hates anime, i rate it 6.8/10 i dont feel like i got treasurable memories from this anime.
