Found this just today linked to Gokujyo, and gave it a watch.
I'm gonna preface this with there were, infact ***NO RACIST JOKES MADE***.
The teacher had three black men sitting on the back of her bus, and said they were her seats. They also appeared again in part A and scared Aya who was afraid of a spirit coming to eat her head for being pretty while she was in the hot spring. However this is deemed as racist, only god or someone reaching to the ends of the earth will know.
The three black characters could be re-used as any desperate males, white or not,
...
and were never referred to as 'slaves', or even touched on. They were simply part of the teacher's line about 'making it in the industry', to show she could get sex from anyone at all and had men on their knees for her.
The fact that racism is being mentioned in the only other talk of this episode and immediately pushed into a saving-net of 'oh, i know other people will think this is fine and say it wasn't that bad :(((' is grossly immature. There were no rape jokes, slave jokes, or 'rape terror'. They added nothing to the episode, other than to reinforce the teachers' mysterious background and even if the intention of the creator was to try and display that the characters were 'slaves', isn't this just definition of Japanese xenophobic culture? If so, which I truly don't believe it is, it can simply be excused by the country of production and it's own culture at the time. This, of course doesn't mean it's right at all, but it doesn't make it racist at all. How about we tackle real racism and not black dudes appearing in a fucking yuri ecchi anime? Christ.
Anyway, back on topic. The episode follows a longer format of a part A and B, double length, and features most of what you expect if you've seen Gokujyo before, except in two episodes. Following the antics of the girls at the Onsen, Ai and Utsunomiya have a lewd scene at the end as you'd expect in an ecchi. This is infact not out of character at all if you've seen the chemistry between the characters in a former episode of the series where they showed they had sexual feelings for one another. They get lewd under the covers while the other girls sleep, and Minami refuses to interrupt so she says outside. The episode ends with Ai asking Utsunomiya not to tell anyone about what happened, and that's literally it. Not my favorite episode, but it was nice to return to the series with new content I hadn't discovered before.
All in all, its nothing special. It's what you expect from Gokujyo, and so if you were a fan of the original series, give this a watch too!

I'll keep it super short, and super sweet. This anime is highly underrated. It doesn't hold much of a story, as you can already see with it only following a 6-minute episode format, but it's such a dorky ass show! I watched this wayyyy back in maybe 2014/15, and I came across it completely by chance by miss-clicking on a kissanime spinoff site. The show is centred around Aya, who is a huge narcissist, and the playful antics she gets up to with her friends at school.
It's funny, '15 year old comedy' to quote another viewer, but the whole show is about teenage girls
...
*making* sexual jokes and finding playful romance with their friends. I'm not sure what you used to be like when you were 15, but I sure as hell was making plenty of sexual bits and goofing off with my friends all the time! It's meant to be exaggerated comedy for a laugh or two.
This anime is a lovely break from the usual serious or fake tone of anime, has no general plot and it just used for shits and giggles. If you ever want a break from the 'realistic' genre of slice for life, this should absolutely be your go to for a quick laugh.
Seriously, give it a try. They're only 6 minute episodes!

I genuinely couldn't stop watching. It was 2am, I was exhausted from a long day, but I couldn't wait to figure out what happens in the next episode. Maybe it was my love for other similar magical girl tragedies, such as Magical Girl Raising Project, but there were so many intense plot twists throughout every episode, and a relatively happy ending. Despite what the the ratings say despising the anime, the visuals are highly appealing, the characters have quite a lot of depth considering the short span of the episodes, and you end up feeling a mixed bag of emotions towards the MC throughout this
...
season.
As the synopsis concurs, the plot of the anime is about unfortunate girls placed in a fortunate position, which they soon find out is soon going to kill them over use of their 'stick'. I really wish they could have used another word for their weapons lol, but it works. The tragic hero of the story we soon come to learn is mainly the MC's original bully, which is where I lay my few critiques. I was confused how the bully of the story who was out for blood suddenly turned around one episode and decided to help the MC after fighting tooth in nail to murder her for the loss of her friends and her scar. It made no sense and was simply covered up by 'Oh, I was tired of the admin bossing me around'? I disliked that there wasn't shots from all angles, but it made time for the characters later in the series to have more screen time to build an emotional connection to the audience so they would be more affected when, and if, any of them died, like Tsuyu did.
I was mildly confused as to how she died, became an admin, and then just suddenly became fine again. And, considering the fact it seems none of the other admins have a limit on their abilities and whether or not it would kill them, why in the last scene of the episode show her wrist displaying her sigil was low on life? It didn't make sense to me, assuming now she was without restraint on her abilities. Could there be some hidden unmentioned 'recharge' time for abilities? Or did some just cost more 'life' than others?
Another thing to outline, is how the cross-gendering side character is able to connect with other magical girls and hear them dying during the (super overused, but stay with me here) beach scene. If his abilities are always being used and will connect him to other girls, and he uses his stick more frequently than the other magical girls, how did he not meet the same fate as many of the others who used their abilities and died?
A few of these inconsistencies could be cleared up easily with a second season which the viewers have been teased about nonstop for around a year or two now, and yet no cigar. Overall, this anime was a really pleasant watch and a lovely way for me to spend my night delving into the plot and characters. I hope to hear if this series will be getting a revival anytime soon.
