Hello fellow MyAnimeList user. Looks like you have found my totally sane account. The name's UnlistedHyper, but you can call me Hyper for short. Also, my user is unlistedhyper (no caps) if you wanna talk on Discord. Just tell me you're from MAL via message.
Since this is the introduction section, let me tell you about my totally-relevant-to-your-life-anime-backstory.
I started watching anime back in early 2024. The first anime I watched was 'Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid' and in my opinion, it was a pretty good pick for my first anime. After I finished it, I took a long ass break for some reason? Then when that break finished, I resumed watching anime in early May and watched 'The Quintessential Quintuplets'. This anime basically kick-started my anime addiction and made me realize that Romance is the best genre. (not taking that back anytime soon)
That's basically all for the introduction. Next.
I mainly watch Romance, Slice of Life, Drama and CGDCT type animes. I most likely will not watch any Action, Fantasy, Isekai (Re:Zero is the exception) or any Sport anime or anime along the lines like that, since I don't really enjoy those genres. You may be thinking, "Why?". Well, I do have an answer for that and it's that I enjoy animes on the slower-paced and Slice of Life side rather than the typical fast-paced action anime that's popular today. To be blunt, I just like Slice of Life's.
Anyways, the random section, I guess. I don't watch anime everyday, but I might watch an episode if I'm feeling like it. I usually finish my animes on weekends because I have nothing to do, so if you see me updating my episodes a lot on an anime, that means I'm binging it all most likely. I'm an anime-only watcher so I tend to avoid any spoilers for any anime that I'm watching. One thing I do that you probably don't do is focusing on OST while watching anime. OST for me in animes is really important, Clannad for example has amazing OST that plays at the perfect time of the story and is one of the main reasons why I love Clannad so much. Manga is something that I'm new to but, I do want to read some more manga in the future. I'm most likely going to read Romance and Slice of Life manga's, though. I tend to edit and update my favorites a lot, so... keep that in mind, I guess? I'm also a certified Itsuki Nakano lover.
My scoring (completely subjective, of course)
10 - A masterpiece in my eyes
9 - Liked it a lot
8 - Pretty good, enjoyed it
7 - The "meh" score basically
6 - Watchable and somewhat enjoyable
5 - Average anime
4 - Not good
3 - Really not good
2 - Oh no...
1 - Never thinking about this anime ever again
(I give pretty high ratings for most of my anime. You can disagree with my ratings, I dont mind)
If you read all of that totally useful information, then I want to thank you for that. Even if you skipped everything and just wanted to see the end, I still thank you for even checking out my profile. Thanks for reading my little about me and as always, keep watching anime.

There are so many anime I would love to watch for the first time again, but also being able to rewatch anime let's you appreciate it more and be able to notice more things about it. I enjoyed Natsume even more on my second watch for example. I've been thinking of starting clannad for a while now, maybe I'll finally get to it! I've heard it's extremely sad so that's fun :'). A lot of my other friends also rate it highly.
They likely keep their private lives well, private lol. Maybe I'll notice the keychains when I rewatch Bocchi before the second season comes out :D.
As for Dragon Maid, I’ve read most of the manga—almost caught up to the latest chapters—but I stopped near the most recent ones. Lately it’s been a bit monotonous, but it’s still worth it for the light and fun atmosphere.
Yeah I got them as a gift and then finished it online. I later bought volume 13 because ofc I would. They have Girls' Last Tour on amazon for me. It might depend on where you're from though.
Yeah I LOVE Violet Evergarden. Just recently started reading the light novels and they are just as good. It's very different from the anime and it gives a different feeling but I'd say they are equal. Clannad has been on my ptw for a while, I should probably start it soon... The only things I have above Violet Evergarden are Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and Natsume's Book of Freinds :D.
It's possible that the authors are actually friends! The Slow Loop author actually worked on the Bocchi the Rock Anthology Comic so they might know each other from that. That's also a pretty cool reference to Slow Loop!
Glad you liked it! Let me see what else I can dig up. I listen to music 24/7 so I probably have something interesting to share.
Here's one that has a similar vibe. + another track that might be up your alley.
Can also confirm that Crying for Rain is a great song. I have heard it before but I listened to it again. ^_^
You might like this track if you haven't heard it before.
Yeah I think it will definitely add to the experience when reading yuru camp. I'm not sure if listening to the OST will help for other manga, especially ones with diverse soundtracks, but it definitely sounds good to do for ones with consistent vibes :).
I have the first 8 volumes of Kaguya-sama as well as volume 13 (it's the confession, how could I not buy it). I also have the first volume of Natsume's Book of Friends and volumes 1 and 6 of The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity. I'm planning on buying volumes 1 and 6 of Girls' Last Tour :). There are a few other manga that I have physically as well but haven't started yet (gifts from friends and family).
I doubt I will ever see an anime as beautiful as Violet Evergarden. It stands as my second favourite anime and probably my third favourite piece of fiction :) (both the anime and the light novel). I did see Bocchi! It's even crazier when you realize that it came out before Bocchi. I wonder if that was in the manga or if the animators decided to add that?
That random thought was genius to say the least. I gotta start doing that with manga that have an anime. I'll probably do that when I read the Yuru Camp manga. I'm really glad you enjoyed both the anime and the manga for Girls' Last Tour though! I doubt I'll ever forget it... And if I do I guess that means I get to reread it ;).
It was in One Piece over the Going Merry - their first ship. I'm not sure why anime/manga likes to make me cry over inanimate objects, but they do.
Kaguya-sama is actually one of the few series I have more than 1-2 volumes for! I agree with that buying it physically makes me feel like more of fan for sure. That's why I have the first volumes of most of my favourites because I like to have them and support the series/author. My wallet can't take more than that though... :')
On another note - I just finished Slow Loop! I liked it, nothing more and nothing less. As I said earlier, I think they did a good job at combining comfort, comedy, and drama, I don't think it excelled at any of these but it did a good job at each of them. I did love the OST however, thought it fit the anime and it's vibe perfectly. The background art was also very well done :). I don't really have anything negative to say about it to be honest, I just thought it was good all round.
Yeah, I don't rate anything on here.
Mega J-Rock fan. Put me on to something? I'm always down to share music.
oh too many losing heroines is a comedy? i hope it's not a harem cuz damn am i bored of those, but either way thanks for the rec <33
Hope you have a great weekend.
Yeah that chapter really showed that it was nearing the end of the journey to me. I couldn't keep my composure when reading it either, this is the second time I've cried over a vehicle in anime/manga damn it. Listening to the OST is SO smart, I might do that when I read other manga now. Although I think if I had that song playing in the background while reading that chapter I would have bawled even more... I surprisingly didn't cry for the last chapter but it did make me feel indescribable emotion. It made me feel just kinda empty, but I also appreciated the journey that brought them this far. Damn, talking about the manga is making me reminisce and feel emotional again. It's truly a beautiful story that is impossible to explain in words.
I want to buy more manga, I recently bought every volume of Magus of the Library. I started it online but when reading it I thought it would be much better physically, I'm going to start it again once I finish up Usogui :).
Yeah, based off of your about me I don't think it's for you. It's a cool concept though.
it's hard for me to pick a favourite this season too, but for the opposite reason.
I'm only watching apothecary diaries season 2 lol
