This is a more half assed isekai than those already half assed isekai anime that I had watched.
It just feels like a story drafted out by a kid...
Every character including the MC is so superficial, they don't even seem like they have their own depth or personality.
Is the story dull? YES!
Is it frustrating to watch? YES...
...
Why? Its because even the MC's OPness cannot be portrayed properly in the story nor grant its viewers proper closure.
Imagine you know your strong and yet you act like your "struggling" on purpose. Funny thing is that the anime really have in mind to portray the MC struggling at parts which he shouldn not.
If the OPness cannot be properly portrayed they could have make the plot better, instead of creating something similar to Jack of All Trades.
A bit of everything making it good at nothing.
The frustration goes as the MC, for someone who live his life for decades, and yet still cannot figure out what is right from wrong, nor can he even firmly grasp on the fact that you got to save someone you care about is just feel like a joke...
Joke because in his former life he is a hero, thats the center principle of a hero, even though he is betrayed and killed.
In this reincarnated life of his, to be blunt, he basically is someone who says, "If possible I do not want to care about anything anymore".
So the anime for me is 3/10 (Very Bad)

"MAJOR SPOILER" (READ AT YOUR OWN RISK)
What will be written below is to satisfy myself of the ending that I hope it to be.
Even then there could still be spoiler for new readers especially of the outcome of the manga.
SO AGAIN READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!
"The Final... Now That We Are Together" written in the POV of Chihiro...
...
We shall stay together forever till I rot... Or is it we?
1 year had passed since the unexpected encounter again with my beloved Rea
Since Rea wanted to live in the mountains away from the cities I decided to also go with her
Well of course I will go with her, it all started when we proposed to each other on that balcony at Gramps funeral and become a couple "Blushing"
At that time when I told her my decision to go with her, she excitedly agreed, she even jump and hugged me, that time I thought I was gonna die again but instead of losing a organ I will lose my breath..."awkward laugh"
Well everything went well, me and Rea are married now and we lived in a beautiful and peaceful cottage in the mountains.
I look at the door and started to miss her so much even though she just left to collect Hydrangea for our breakfast.
Oh yea! I forget to also mention (thinking quietly) after I was killed by Rea that first time due to her injected so much of the toxin into my body I somehow also turned into a zombie myself "oops"
Well Darin was so excited that she want to bring me to her laboratory at that time, because apparently I turn out to be another new species, a zombie that will not enter into confusing nor terminal state because apparently the person I love is a zombie as well "awkward laugh"
Well funny how it turns out, now me and Rea shall really stay together forever till we rot...
I suddenly heard a squeaking voice of the wooden door
Oh its Rea! Apparently in a years time I have changed from that awkward young man into someone who is more affection. I rush up from my chair and hug her and kissed her.
Moooo(in Japanese) look the flowers are now in the floor, she said.
Well I really missed you when I start to think about our past 1 year ago.
How about after breakfast lets go invite both our families and have a dinner together?
Rea blushingly agreed. She kissed me again in the lips and while my hands are still wrap around her waste she said, sure Chihiro lets go invite our family for a reunion dinner later.
After breakfast I help Rea water the Hydrangea Flowers in the garden we laughed and teased each other and had a good time together.
The time pass so quick and its already afternoon so we went to invite Rea's Mom and Dad and Darin, who is apparently staying in Japan studying in the same school as Ranko and we also invited Ranko and her family to a dinner in my house. Of course I already informed Dad and Mero we will have such dinner and they gladly agreed.
When night time arrived. Rea, Ranko, and Mero is in the kitchen helping Ranko's Dad preparing for dinner.
While they are there, Darin teased me on hows my daily life with Rea. Well of course I blushed hard. Remember the wonderful time we had and the first time we did right after we got married. Crap it just make my face turn red involuntarily!
After all the catching up the dinner is finally served.
Rea sat right beside me, poke me softly with her elbow, she jealously asked me, why I was so close with Darin and what are we talking about.
I whispered in her ears and said, well I told her how I enjoyed our time together and our very first time.
She turned red like a tomato.
Rea's Dad said in a calm loud voice and said cheers to Chihiro and Rea who have found happines, the kids raised their juice and the adults raised their beers and we raised our Hydrangea Juice and we all chugged it in one gulp...
Our dinner came to an end.
On our way back me and Rea walked on the street in a starry sky.
I reach out my hand and hold hers, we walk sweetly and closely with each other.
Tellling each other the wholesomeness of the dinner and also how I enjoyed everyones company.
After talking everything. I squeezed her hand tighter and said, Rea thank you for remembering me, for being so cheeful always, I cannot imagine my days without you, I really love you. In which she also replied, Chihiro thank you for staying with me and also choosing to sacrifice yourself the very first time to save me, I really really love you too!

For someone who was waiting for the anime to come out after a long long long period of time, I would like to shout with happiness that every second of the waiting is most definitely worth it. Their approach to the anime’s pacing with their plot is amazingly complete, I know because I have finished the manga and read the LN, seeing how they animated the 3 episodes of the anime, shows that they are loyal to the manga and LN, which is a good sign, because this shows that the anime would be complete in its portrayal of the information’s and story of Solo
...
Leveling.
Another thing that captivated me is their straightforwardness shown in the animation. By straightforwardness I meant the killing scenes, blood scenes, fears shown in the characters faces and actions, in general the goriness of the anime were not masked, but shown to the viewers, and this is an amazing thing because it would be more emotionally captivating and exciting to watch. Also, its fighting scenes are splendid, it is not half hearted and not boring or just monotonous, but instead they are able to make the viewers emotionally interact with it, meaning you will feel tense as you watch them fight, struggle to survive etc…
Really recommend this anime or story in general, I really cant wait till next week for the next episode how I wish it will all just come out, I really really want to binge it so bad hehehehe

This review will first tackle a little bit of season 1 and season 2 before entering into season 3, sharing a bit of my thoughts regarding 1 and 2.
Season 1's plot was very nice, particularly how the author portrayed Naofumi's pain, betrayal, relationships, and changes etccc, as a viewer it really felt realistic and emotionally engaging. Especially Naofumi's growth it can be clearly seen and fun to watch. However, as it entered into Season 2 the pacing of the plot felt strange, its really not about the skipping of plot, but somehow its impact its greatly lessen as compared to Season 1, I know
...
because after I watch Season 2 I remember losing interest to wait for another Season and rewatching it felt the same. Though one nice thing about Season 2 is its fighting scenes it really shows that they put effort in creating them. Though I am not a professional in that field, its only from my opinion, but its just so comparable to other isekai animes, cause many recent isekai fighting scenes are crap and I am not exageratting they are really crap and not even worth watching, but in Shield Hero its different, you can see them putting effort in drawing out the detail of the battle and you can also clearly see the struggle of Naofumi in the battle making the fighting scenes not monotonous.
Alright Season 3 is intriguing, I didnt expect it to renew my desire to look forward and hope for a Season 4. Season 3's plot slowed down a lot, and its not slow on the negative side, they tried to explain the details slowly regarding new added informations (well what they are I will not be revealing its best you watch them because I recommend Season 3) and because of that I appreciate that pacing. Also how they portray the story really feel like Season 1 again. New relationships, new possible romances, opening by a character regarding a very wonderful question to Naofumi and seeing his reaction on that question is amazing, quality fighting scenes. What I like most is how they properly address of the coming together of the Cardinal Heroes, this had been a worry for me since Season1, like what if they have to work together what if the other Cardinal Heroes will steal Naofumi's spotlight, but how they address it in Season 3 was epic, it didnt steal the spotlight at all but instead it actually put Naofumi as there top 1 and making them more of a important background character feel which is nice, because the MC is our Shield Hero after all. Lastly, the cliffhangers at the end isnt so incomplete making the viewers scratch there head, but they are able to reveal partly and at least satisfy some frustration enough to not feel bad but also give rise to a good amount of fuel to look forward to Season 4.
Nice job to all those that make this anime, thanks for an epic piece. REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEASON 4 WHEN ALL THE CLIFFHANGERS CAN BE ANSWERED. Hopefully, its nice as S1 and S3 hehe

I finished Eminence of Shadow Season 1, and I gave it a pretty high rating due to the fact that it brought excitement and intensity of how the characters handle the situations and the anime is not scared to show bloodshed or gory scenese. Also, of course it brough something new to the isekai genre. However, I thought that after season 1 there will be progress and character growth, but apparently I was wrong, the whole time there was no growth but pure ignorance, well for me at least, it started getting frustrating to watch as I went on to season 2, all I want
...
is for this to end so I can move on to a better anime.
So what do I mean? First of all I want to point out the fact that the plot is pretty good enough without the MC, meaning if Shadow Garden attain their power not from Cid and there is no Cid our stupid, useless, ignorant MC, the story will still progress properly, in fact it will actually be more interesting and not frustrating to watch. Why? That is because on how the story progresses now, especially in Season 2, its just because of the extraordinary not realistic luck, coincidences, accidents, and ignorance of Cid our MC, and this happens every single time or every single story plot. The whole time, and I do mean it literally the whole time, the MC is ignorant, inattentive, misunderstanding others, negligent etc of what his subordinates is actually doing, whats frustrating is he do not believe, and for him, he thinks all of them are joking and just playing around with chuunibyou and eventually all will cease to happen, he does not even understand how imporant and dangerous the organization that they are going against. The super funny thing (I mean this sarcastically) is that he just does not care, all he cares about is his whims, what he want to cross out from his bucket list to act cool, to fulfill his chuunibyou or delusions, and for some unrealistic reasons he always make it as if everything works well, even when everything works well he doesnt even understand what just happened.
Worst of all, all the emotions other people show the MC, this anime treat it as crap, it does not reciprocate to any of their emotions, funny thing is Overlords MC even the anime tries to make him a skeleteon emotionless have done a better job to reciprocate the feelings of those whom he care about and even Overlords MC does not know a lot he still tries to grasp the situation of what his happening thats what we call maturing and thats what we call good writing. However, Eminence Shadows MC is like a kid that never grow up, living in his delusions of being a super hero or something, even though he saw it first hand in zero distance what is actually happening, the reality of society, the cruelty of people, the cult that threaten the livelidhood of others, and those that love and cared for him. That is why I will not recommend this anime at all to other people, because its absurd to watch.

The anime: Why bother watching
The story: Too much skips, those skipping even reach mostly until the last episode, they just show highlights or important parts, making it really blunt and boring and not emotionally engaging at all to watch, in this case since this story is kind of similar to the ''Misfit of the Demon King,'' I would say the Misfit is way better than this anime.
The characters: Since the anime got too much skips, you wont be able to properly come to see their proper growth.
The art: well the art is fine, though honestly aside from the art I believe is way better.
So
...
overall: I do not hope for a second season, since this first season is totally a failure, just right at the beginning I already got bored, soldiering through till episode 6 I got a very strong feeling of wanting to drop it, well I finish it till the end, and still nothing, will not recommend it.

Just like the title suggests, it will take you in a slow pace relaxing chilling adventure of fishing and cuteness. Full of laughter's, smiles, and warmth to be felt deep within our hearts.
Some personal reviews:
Watching through the anime, I felt Koharu tend to get left out and that cause her to try harder in expressing herself, making it a little hard to watch because it leads to me feeling a little bad for her, though its understandable since she just moved in, and Hiyori and Koi are childhood friends. Also, as I watch through the anime not once did Hiyori and Koharu call someone
...
something (I make it vague for spoiler purposes, since its a relaxing and chilling anime by no means is there stress or frustration as you watch it so really do recommend you enjoy it to the end), I was really hoping them to actually call or say it, but well they didn't, kind of depicting that they have not really move on yet with their past even the mom. I hope that if there would be S2, I hope to see them become a real family not only from the outside but fully moving on and becoming one as well from the inside.

Here are some tips before you start the manga, for those who decided to start from the very start (which is chapter 1), the chapter 1 to around 10 or little more, its drawing sucks so bad, it isnt same as it is in the anime, BUT REST ASSURED, they fix it when you read a little more around like 15 or 20 or something, so dont worry the drawing went back to like that of the anime.
As for those who are wondering after the anime where to continue in the manga, let me give you some information first, the anime ending and how
...
the manga portray the story is super different, only that part as for others there are some stories that are not so important that the anime didnt add so rest assured. SO HERE IT IS IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE AFTER THE ANIME START AT "CHAPTER 29: LETS RIDE THE BRAND NEW CAR," you want to start there because that is where the anime ending goes different with how the manga portray that part of the story.
HERE IS THE UPDATE NOW THAT I FINISH THE MANGA, and ITS EPIC I WOULD REALLY INVITE YOU GUYS TO FINISH IT TO THE END. I couldnt describe the tears of joy that kept pouring out my eyes as I finish the manga, its so warmth and so satisfying seeing their lives at the end, its totally worth the read. ENJOY GUYS

I have finished the anime and have just finished with the manga. I would say that even with most of their stories the same the ending path the anime pursue and what the manga pursue is quite different. You can think of the anime's ending just another story before it reach the manga ending.
For those of you who are asking where to start reading after the anime, I would suggest read from the start, because the stories depicted in the anime is kind of not complete or a little different from the manga and the anime stories are not in the same order as
...
of the manga, its more like it takes bits and bits of the manga and make it into an episode not only that but it add small talking scenes that they deem would be more complete or more appropriate etc. So you can watch the anime first and read the manga from 1-the end because that way you will be able to truly complete Rotte no Omocha. Just a friendly suggestion for someone who finished the whole series.
Now into the review portion, what I think of the manga as a whole is not really interesting, you can only see the development at the very end, and that development is not something you will go WOOWWWW for, but its more like a quick happy ending. The whole story is really pale and there really isnt anything to look forward to and nothing to be particularly excited for, unless your a hen*** freak (hopefully not ^^). Though throughout the whole manga there is only one thing that Im really hoping that the little princess and our handsome MC will say, and they indeed said it at the end, so quite satisfying in my part at least the author did give me a closure, and reassurance that the princess didnt take after her mother (you will know what Im saying if you read the manga hehe). Enjoy guys, I dont hat the manga but its just a good manga to pass time.
