Soo, it's time to open Pandora's box, huh? Well let's get going then, it'll be a long day.
To be fair, I loved DBZ when I was a kid. The epic fights of musclemonsters clashing onto each other, always accelerating, always getting more powerful was something I dreamed of achieving aswell. I remember standing in the garden screaming my lunges out wishing to become a supersayan who protects the earth from evildoers. But as I rewatched the whole series whith my ex-girlfriend recently, I kind of did not understand why I liked this anime so much back in the days. And that's why I decided
...
to write a review of one of the most popular shows of all time: Dragonball Z.
Story:
It's always a problem explaining the story of a long running show such as DBZ, but I'll try to do my best to do it justice:
DBZ is the continuation of Dragonball that revolves around "The Z-Crew"( Or whatever the fans call the group of people starring this anime) and their efforts to protect not only earth as in previous instances but also the whole universe. It is divided into multiple arcs which can also be divided into multiple sagas.
The first one here is the "Sayan Arc" which sets stone for the plot of the enxt few(hundred) episodes. Goku here learns that he is not in fact a human but a sayan, a powerful race of warriors that work as mercenaries. Within this arc, Goku meets multiple other sayans, the first one ebing Raditz, his brother. Goku learns that it was originally his mission to conquer earth and Raditz tries to persuade him to do so. Raditz abducts Goku's son Gohan (Hehe, I like my choice of words here...you know...because Gohan's full name is Son Gohan and stuff.....shut up that was funny!) and it ends in Songoku and piccolo teaming up to kill Raditz, which ultimately results in Goku dying but taking Raditz with him.
Shortly after, Goku is revived with the help of the Dragonballs to fight other sayans who came to check on Raditz, one being Vegeta one of the main characters. they fight each other, Goku wins and vegeta manages to excape from earth. This marks the end of the Sayan arc.
It is basically just initiating the much bigger "Frieza Arc" where we learn a lot more about sayans and a lot of other races in the universe.
I don't intent to spoil to much but this is important which is why I will only say this: over the course of the Frieza Arc, Goku achieves a whole new powerlevel, the supersayan, a much stronger, rage driven form of the sayans which only can be achieved by people with a pure heart.
If anyone who has not actually seen a supersayan before or has not watched DBZ before then I wasnt to apologize at this point for spoiling that. It was necessary for a later point in this review.
Comment: The DBZ storyline (just like most shonen anime) is not really the factor of relevance here. It's merely there to give the characters a reason to fight and nothing else. Anyone who says that DBZ has a really deep storyline is eitehr lying to you or just (I apologize in advance) stupid. But that is not a bad thing since the focus of this show does not and should not be on the storyline itself but the characters and most importantly the fights. But even in shonen standarts, DBZ's storyline is a little poor.
Let's take for example Naruto( which I absolutely hate by the way) a show about a young ninja trying to fullfill his dream of being Hokage so that people recognize him while chasing his best friend into the depths of hell.
It's not a masterpiece but the idea behind it is not half bad. DBZ on the otehr hand is an anime about people fighting aliens, aliens fighting aliens and people fighting *SPOILERS*. And not much else.
I am sorry but that is a fact.
Rating: 6/10, simply average.
Art:
With old anime, you always hove to put it in relation with other old anime. For todays standarts, the early episodes of DBZ look less than average, though they become betterlooking over the course of the anime(Well to be fair, DBZ ran like seven years). Though there are some anime that don't look any better today *cough* Kill La Kill *cough*.
But for that time, whoa, that anime looked good. Seriously. Look how bad "Captain Tsubasa" or that piece of shit "Big Wars" were and then look at DBZ and your eyes will be enlightened. My only problem with the art style is within fights late in the series when they decided it would be a great idea to let the fighters turn invisible because of their speed and only show shockwaves in the air where they clash. That is seriously boring to watch because there is no action at all. You simply watch a blue sky with a poof here and there.
The complete contrast to that is the moment when the sayans turn into supersayans. You literally feel the tension when sparks pulsate from their bodies and the ground beneath them cracks. That is seriously fucking awesome.
Rating: Considering the age of this anime, I thought an 8/10 would be fair.
Sound:
The sound is nething shorter than amazing. The soundtrack is, even if it's simplistic, pretty damn awesome. It's all orchestral pieces and they fit the situations prefectly. I still hear them ringing in my head from time to time.
The effect sounds seem powerful, especially the ones used for the Kamehameha and the other Ki-attacks.you really feel the force that is put behind them. Combine that with the authentic screams of the outstanding voiceactors and you have the perfect mixture for an anime as DBZ.
Rating: 9/10
Character:
Remember what the two most important things in a shonen are? I'll give you a hint: the characters and the battles. We've already established that the battles look and sound pretty damn good, what about the characters then? Are they any good? HELL NO! For the most part that is. 90% of the old cast hast turned completely useless, with only a few moments where they shine , most of which are only triggers for the sayans to go on rampage or situations where they hold up the enemy for a few seconds.
The only secondary character that actually stands out a little is Krillin since he's always there as a mental support for Goku and he'S kind of teh comic relief character. He's also the strongest human on earth btw.
But anyone else beside him is completely useless and only has about 5 minutes of screentime over the course of two episodes.
But teh biggest problem is that the maincharacters are also not really inspired. The villains always want world/universe domination, showing barely any difference in character aside from Boo/Buu.
The main protagonists are what saves this show. Piccolo, Vegeta, Son Goten, Trunks - All of them are outstanding characters that are unique in their own way (I mean, how often do you see a male Tsundere such as Piccolo? :D).
But there is this one character that goes through now characterdevelopment at all, even though he's kind of the most important one. The one I'm talking about is of course Goku. He's such a blatant and boring character with no special charactertrait at all aside from being a nice guy. I am so sick of these always hungry super nice but totally overpowered maincharacters. God damnit!
Rating: 5/10, because those few really save this anime.
Enjoyment:
As I have stated before, I really did not enjoy DBZ the last time I watched it. I'm not sure why, maybe I just grew out of it or something, or maybe I'm just sick of people who don't know anything about anime saying "DBZ is the best anime ever". Of course it's nostalgic and stuff, but I won't alter my rating because I loved it back then. I enjoyed DBZ a lot as a kid and I don't anymore, that's why I'm giving DBZ a....
Rating: ....6/10 for enjoyment, because Piccolo is awesome. But there's just not enough depth for me anymore.
Overall:
This results in a 6.8/10. I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I don't think DBZ deserves special treatment out of nostalgia or anything. And even with nostalgiabonus: This anime does not deserve a 9 or 10/10. I have seen a lot of reviews here giving DBZ a 10/10 which is insulting to shows that deserve such a high rating such as Gintama and FMA.
Toastyy out.

Hey, I found the retarded child of Ikkitousen and Elfenlied! Wanna know about it? No? Well too bad I'm gonna tell you anyway.
Story-1:
Some girls are doing something....and school.....pantyshots everywhere......uhhh......teh maincharacter looks like a trap.....and....uuhh.....Honestly, I have no clue what this show is about. So I'm gonna tell you how i found this gem (Probably more interesting than the storyline anyway): I haven't had a girlfriend in about a year, sooo, I'm kinda desperate.....Anyways, I was checking for some updates on my favorite pornsite - yeah, I'm actually doing that regularly - when I saw three recently added episodes there.
I thought "Hey, three episodes,
...
that's gonna be great material" (I think you know what I mean). So I watched the first episode, thinking it was kinda weird that there are still no sex scenes approaching the fifteen minute mark, but maybe they'd show up in the end. I was wrong. There were none.
So I watched the other two episodes, kinda losing my interest when a giant naked girl on the screen was catching my attention again.
I laughed my ass off, got bored again and then decided to write a half assed "review" about this "hentai". It's actually more like an OVA with mildly sexual content.
Yeah, you can see a lot of pantyshots and boobs but not much else. And by "a lot of" I mean "pantyshots everywhere at every time". Seriously, this thing tops Ikkitousen in the cathegories of stupidity and pantyshots/scene.
Boring!
Art-6:
To be fair, it looks decent. But that's all. There's absolutely nothing special about the artstyle. Why did I give it 6/10 then you ask? Well because tehre's at least no supergiant triple Z-cup boobs to be found here. I don't like those. Gj AIKa R-blablabla.
Sound-5:
Decent aswell. Nothing particularly bad but nothing pacrticularly good either. Voiceactors are doing their jobs and the music is nothing special.
Character-3:
I absolutely hate the Maincharacters. They are boring, forgettable and not even worth writing about. Seriously. Go watch something else instead.
Enjoyment-2:
Well, I it at least made me chuckle from time to time and I kinda enjoy writing reviews about utter shit sooo, yeah. More than one point.
Overall-3:
Now, before anyone flames me, let me explain myself: I watched this because I thought it was hentai. That's why I did not give it any chance at all since it failed to deliver it's sole purpose of me wanting to do it. If you looked at it in a diferent light, I'm sure the score would go up at least a little. That's all.
PS: Don't judge ne it's just my kind of thing okay?!

SPLASH FREE!!
Soo, "Free!", huh? My first thought when I saw the poster were "What the....I NEED TO WATCH THIS!". So I did. Did I enjoy it? Hell yeah. Do I think this is a good anime? Well...in comparison to....well....there's not much to compare it to since there are barely any other pure "manservice" anime out there, but I'd say yes. Should you watch this? Well as long as you're no homophobic douchebag then yes, it's hilarious.
Anyways, since many people aren't giving this anime a lot of credit (mainly homophobic douchebags), I thought I'd write a review of "Free! Iwatobi swim club".
Story:
Without spoiling too much
...
(I think I never said this before since I mainly do rants), Free is about a group of "nippleless Calvin Kline models" (Thanks gigguk) who start a swim club at their school and compete in tournaments and stuff. They grow closer as a team and as friends over the course of the anime, showing that friendship is the most important thing in the world. Kinda like K-ON, except that music is replaced by water and cute girls doing cute things are replaced by "cute" guys doing "cute" things (I put that into quotations because I, as a straight dude, don't think that they're cute but hilarious, but I was told that they're "soo adorable").
Many people say they're disappointed by the fact that the storyline isn't that ellaborate and deep, but what do you expect from a Moe anime? You don't watch Moe anime for the same reason you watch Drama for example. It's supposed to be fun and mindless entertainment and Free delivers such in a perfect manner.
7/10
Art:
Free looks gorgeous. Seriously. The Water looks amazing (Though not as amazing as in "Garden of Words"), the guys look...well....they look pretty good, I'm jealous actually
The whole anime has the typical Kyoto animation stamp all over it and honestly, I did not think that they could pull guys looking...well...moe off. They look like typical moe characters, but more about that later.
The backrounds are reallly detailed, especially the pools and there are a few eastereggs here and there. As always I guess.
8/10
Sound:
Welcome to the Free music shop! We've got everything what your heart desires: Dubstep? Check! Orchestral pieces? Check! Rock/Punk songs? Check! Catchy J-pop openings? Check! Really catchy endings with superdisturbing lyrics? CHECK! All for an efficient price of 9.99! Order now and you'll get the....
Ahem, sorry 'bout that, but it's basically what listening to free for me felt like. The music feels old but not dated, fresh but not hipster. I really must say, free has some of the best soundtracks I have heard in a while. And seriously, I can't stop listening to the ending even though the lyrics are indeed really disturbing!
The voiceacting is on point and you can really hear that the voiceactors were having fun doing their jobs. Great performance!
9/10
Character:
You know, "Character" is always the point where I'm too lazy to write a lot, so I'll keep this tradition up!
The characters are your typical moe/harem characters...only in a male version. There's the Silent but passionate one that's sometimes tsundere (I'll just name them after other moe characters since I don't remember their names: Shiori Shiomiya), the supernice scaredycat giant (Akyama Mio), the supergenki friendshiplover (Ayumi Takahara), the one who doesn't fit in because he's a total weirdo but in the end does (Ichinose Kotomi) and the supertsundere who's also (for some fangirls) the love interest of the maincharacter (insert anyone you like, I'll go for Taiga).
They are nothing special since they behave like any other moe character of their type, except for the fact that they are guys. Nothing exceptional but not boring either.
PS: Some credit towards the two female leads (Though they are only sidecharacters), they really stand out. That's all.
7/10
Enjoyment:
I really enjoyed this far more than I expected. Every episode is fun, you can laugh a lot about the ridiculous fanservice and the storyline is not halfbad. And if anyone says that they don't watch this because it's gay, just slap them and tell them that they're pussies because they judge a book by it's cover and don't even give different things a chance. Free is superfun to watch and you can make a good drinkinggame out of it. Seriously. Just drink a shot every time there is a crotch on screen. I call it "Crotch Shots". I know I'm a genius.
9/10
That leaves Free with an overall score of....
8/10
Trust me, it's worth watching.
Peace out I'm Toastyy!

I usually put quite some work into writing these, but I don't feel like that it's necessary for this production. Like seriously, that fucking sucked. And I will spoiler the shit out of this movie because you shouldn't watch it anyway.
Story:
The basic concept of the storyline is the following: Fighterjet/Spaceship battlescene > boring talking where you don't understand jackshit > Sexscene of mainprotagonist and his female acquaintance > boring talking > Another sec scene > more boring talking > some explosions > Maincharacter kills female acquaintance because she's a spy, then kills another spy in a ridiculous action scene > Maincharacter takes off with his
...
ship (Literally ship, not spaceship. There are spaceships, but appearently it makes more sense to fight ufos and shit with actual cruisers that can somehow magically and completely unexplained sail through sand.) > Maincharacter has some weird hallucinations > WAAAGH> more weird hallucinations > they somehow manage to get close to the enemy alien floating "ship"? (It looks like a shell) > They send a small squad in there to plant a bomb > they succeed in planting the bomb > gigantic explosion > they made it out alive > Credits.
Sorry for that kind of summary but I can't put that stupidly retarded stoyline into a complete text. I would honor that movie too much by doing so.
As a sidenote, for a movie called "Big Wars" there are surprisingly less wars than boring talking.
1/10
Art:
Well, I'll be fair, it looks fairly decent for it#s time. It's pretty dated today, though.
6/10
Sound:
The voice acting is alright, nothing too special but nothing horrible either, well, as long as you're watching the japanese version. I watched the english one for two minutes and it was horrible.
The music on the other hand has nothing good about it. There are mainly orchestral pieces that sound like they were created in under 20 minutes. Plus, they never actually fit with what is happening on screen. Never.
2/10
Character:
You know nothing about any characters whatsoever and you don't care about them anyway, not even the maincharacter. Those are the most boring ass, blatant characters ever. You can literally watch this movie without subs and you would know who's bad and who's good from the first second they are on screen.
1/10
Enjoyment:
This is one of those movies you need to watch with a friend or two and a couple of beers and it becomes quite fun to watch because it's oo ridiculously stupid, but if you watch it alone it's simply dreadful. there is absolutely nothing to like about it and it shouldn't be watched by anyone.
1/10
Overall: 2,2/10
Fucking garbage. That's what it is.

Yo, just finished watching "Hal" and wanted to give you some thoughts about it.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not doing this review spoilerfree so if you do not want to get spoiled skip the parts that I mark as *SPOILER* ^^
Story:
The story starts off without much explanation. You see a robot/android lay in the water trying to catch some fish, so naturally, you think it's set somewhere in the future. Robot gets called out by some old guy who after the android arrived gets mail and a plane explodes above them and the old guy looks like he's having a heartattack or sth.
Then the movie cuts
...
to a dark scene which seems to have taken place after a funeral and the old guy tells the android to make some "child" want to live again. This is where the movie really begins.
Some time later (We don't know how much later) we see a guy sitting in some sort of chair witha doctor next to him telling him that his transformation into a human was completed, which apparently looks like some dude named HAL. The doctor (Who looks like every stereotypical crazy professor in the animeworld) tells him that his task is to make this girl called Kurumi, who appearently was Hal's girlfriend, want to live again. He does some things to lighten her mood up blahblahblah even though she never really seemed like she actually had no willl to live on.
He learns a bit about Hal's past even though no one really explains Hal's past properly, but that doesn't matter because it's barely plotrelevant anyway.
Someday, he meets some guy who recognizes him as Hal and You instantaneously think "Yep, that guy is gonna cause some problems".
*SPOILERALERT*
And so he does.
One day when RoboHal goes to a festival with Kurumi, that specific guy who actually turns out to be Hal's best friend wants to "sell" Kurumi. He has some shady dudes, one of which is wearing a Bruce Lee suit, accompanying him.
Of course, Robohal doesnt want to sell kurumi, they run away and Kurumi falls into a river. Robohal sees her lying in a shallow part of the river and wants to go save her, but of course Hal's best friend catches up stops Robohal from jumping in and gives Robohal a real beating.
PLOTTWIST
Robohal starts bleeding and actually remembers that he actually is Hal and that Kurumi is the one who died in that plane accident.
He starts crying, shakes free of his "BEST FRIEND" (The guy who wants to sell his gf without explaining anything beforehand and beating him up, you know, typical best friend stuff) and dives into the river together with Robokurumi. We get some flashbacks fullfilling the funeral scene from the beginning and showing that Hal thought he was a robot because he couldn't handle Kurumi's death, Robokurumi and Hal kiss underwater and she sinks into the wet abyss while Hal is getting pulled out of the water by his best friend
Btw, Hal was magically attached to a rope there. No further explanation needed.
In the end, we cut to a scene where Hal has started to live a normal life again.
I don't think this is a partycularly bad storyline, but it's no masterpiece either. The pacing is bad which results in the viewer constantly being confused how much and how fast the time is actually going by and some things actually make no sense at all. For example how did Robokurumi know that Kurumi wanted to see a giraffe together with Hal if she didnt actually see the note on the rubis cube....Oh yeah....I forgot about this: Kurumi and Hal both wrote things they wanted to accomplish and stuff on the sides of 5 by 5 Rubiks cubes and then scrambled them completely. I actually liked that but exactky such a detail makes no sense. Or Are you going to tell me that Robokurumi first solved those things, memorized all the notes on them and then scrambled them again? Nope I'm not buying that shit.
There were a lot more scenes like this but I guess there's no point in pointing them out one by one. You'll notice them yourselve if you watch this movie.
*SPOILEREND*
I actually liked this futuristic drama concept but since the pacing of this movie is so mediocre and the explanation in a 60 minute movie is so poor....well...I simply cannot give the storyline a good or even better rating.
5/10
Art:
The art on the other hand is really amazing. There is so much detail in every single frame that you could take a picture at any time and you'd have an awesome desktop background every time. But I did not expect less from Production I.G.
10/10
Sound:
Though the soundtrack is not as amazing as the artstyle, its pretty good aswell. The soundtrack mainly consist of Orchestral pieces which suits this anime perfectly. On a side note, I want to shortly mention the music at the climax scene. Thatwas it.
8/10
Character:
The main problem with the characters is that there are no explanations for any characters besides Kurumi and Hal. I'm being dead serious. You don't know who the doctor is, you don't know who the old ladies are that show up a few times in the movie and that I forgot to mention which doesn't really matter because those scenes were rather pointless anyway and even Kurumi and Hal are only explained a little. You don't know how Kurumi and Hal came together....well....let's be real: You barely know anything about Kurumi. The best friend of Hal has three scenes in the whole movie, which creates no emotional attachment at all, especially when he starts crying after dragging Hal out of the water.(You need to have read the spoilerpart if you want to understand what I mean by that :D)
But you cannot really get attached to characters that don't have much screentime together anyway. I mean, Kurumi and Robohal don't do that much together. The doctor nearly has as much screentime as her and I don't think his name is even mentioned once(But I could be wrong on that one.)
Though I have to give the author credit for the characterdesign, they look pretty damn good. Kurumi, Hal and best friend that is. The rest consists of your generic Grannies, your genery professor/doctor and your generic wtf ever.
And the characterdevelopment only really happens at the end!
*SPOILERALERT*
I have seen people call Robokurumi's behavior as "Strong characterdevelopment". Well guys, I dunno about you, but I understood that as her simply acting as a girl who's having characterdevelopment. Seriously. She's supposed to act that way to make Hal think that's he's a robot helping Kurumi starting to live again. The only characterdevelopment we have here is in the very end of the movie where Hal can finally let go and accept Kurumi's death. AND NOTHING ELSE!
*SPOILEREND*
4/10
Enjoyment:
Strangely, I really enjoyed this movie. I like seeing dramas with a lot of feels and this actually is one of those. Sure it's a bit hard to get into it at the beginning but it's fine as it is. And let's be honest, it could be a lot worse.
Though it's no masterpiece, I gave it a.....
9/10, I enjoyed it a lot after watching it the first time ( 7/10 if you watch it again and notice a lot of flaws and stuff.)
That makes a final verdict of
7.2/10
I'd recommend this if you enjoy dramas and don't take flaws too seriously.^^

"Nice catch!" My favorite line of the whole anime describes the feelings I had when I found this one.
Jojo's bizarre adventure is the incarnation of what I expect from a shonen: Awesome fights that are appealing to the eye with a soundtrack that's supporting the scenery but not overwhelming it and Characters that surpass most of the ones we get to see from for example Naruto, Dbz etc.
And would you believe it? This anime is based on a manga that was created in the late 80's and is still going. That must be one of the longest running shonen in history! ... Anyways
...
back to the review.
Story:
Well, since the Myanimelist summary is pretty accurate, I don't need to go too deep into it. But a short explanation wouldn't be wrong, would it:
The plot is divided into two parts: The first one is about Jonathan Joestar, the first JoJo, and his encounters with a mysterious mask that turns humans into vampires and his adopted brother Dio, who turns himself into one to rule over the world. On his way, Jojo1 encounters Speedwagon, a mobboss who joins JoJo1 on his journey after getting beat up but not killed by JoJo1 and zeppeli, who is a master of "Hamon" aka "Ripple" a force that equals the strength of light which was invented to defeat the vampires.
The second one is about jojo2 (I forgot his name while writing this), who's the grandson of JoJo1. This is arch starts at I think episode 10 and goes all the way until episode 26, so it's pretty elaborate.
To make it simple: JoJo2 has the power of Hamon aswell and needs to defeat the Pillarmen, a race of superhuman creatures which also want to achieve world domination. trust me, if I went deeper into the story it wouldn't have been spoilerfree.
I think it's a really interesting story with some things here and there that don't make any sense whatsoever but it's over all pretty well thought through.
8/10
Art:
Well, the artstyle is simply put amazing. Every character looks beatiful, seriously, every single one. Backrounds are very detailed with great locations, the Minions look disgusting, as intended, but not in a bad way. They even put the SFX bubbles in there like for example when someone gets shot or punched really hard there's a huge (Japanese) logo saying "BLAM". I love that kind of thing. But what's most important is that the fights look amazing. You could stop at any frame during a fight and you'd have an awesome wallpaper.
9/10
Sound:
This is where this anime shines for me: The sound. Like I said, the openings look awesome, but they sound even better. I even bought the OST overseas just to listen to it all day long, especially the second OP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnHyj7G1kjI
....anyways. The soundtrack consists of Theatrical pieces, Jazz, Rock and....dubstep. Yeah, dubstep. But don't worry, the dubstep soundtracks used here sound awesome and underline the action that is happening pretty well.
The voiceacting of the Japanese version is untouchable. You wanna know why? Because JoJo 2 is voiced by none other than Tomokazu Sugita, the voice of Gintoki from Gintama. His performance here is unbelievably good and should be heard by everyone. I'm being dead serious, especially because it fits so perfectly with the character. But not only his voice fits so good: Every character has a voice perfectly fitting. Especially the villains who always have an over the top "I am better than you" voice.
10/10
Character:
Characters.....well.....Every character is unique, or I at least think they are because I have never seen characters like these before (I will only talk about the maincharacters because I'm lazy :D):
First arch:
JoJo1 is a gentleman with a lot of sympathy for basically everyone. He's not the smartest person I have ever seen but he's not your typical cardboard cutout maincharacter who eats a lot, makes silly decisions and basically acts like a retard (Looking at you Naruto, Luffy and SonGoku). His only fault is that he's too naive.
Dio: He's the first villain of this anime and damn, he's amazing. He's a lot smarter than JoJo1, always having his plan of first getting a powerful rich man and then being a superhuman world dominating being. Also, he's a dick, but a gentleman dick. You wanna know why? *Spoiler* at one point, Dio let's one of his minions handle the immobilized JoJo1. When the minion talks and acts disrespectful towards JoJo1, Dio threatens his minion not to talk like that since JoJo1 was the one who defeated him. I think his words were "I am not going to let you talk about the man who nearly defeated the mighty Dio like that!".
Zeppeli: He's the most important guy in this story: He teaches JoJo1 hamon since JoJo1 has strong potential. He's an awesome guy with an awesome hat and a master of Hamon, which he likes to show off sometimes. Plus, his *SPOILER* Death was the most emotional thing I have seen since Ace's death in One Piece, giving all his remaining power to JoJo1. Sadly, he doesn't get enough screentime.
Second Arch:
JoJo2: joJo2 is nothing like JoJo1: He's an amazingly smart person being able to predict what people are going to do and say in the next few seconds and minutes. His catchphrase is "You're going to say .... now". AND THEY DO!
Anyways he's incredibly entertaining since he always acts like he's a retard simply to disguise his true thoughts. A mastermind at it's best, always having 7 more tricks up his sleeves.
Zeppeli2: Yeah, he's the grandson of the other Zeppeli, fighting with bubbles and shit. It sounds ridiculous but its actually a very interesting and effective fightingstyle. In the beginning, he's a women's magnet and doesn't hide it, who doesn't accept jojo2 at first, since they need to team up to save the world from the pillarmen. But as they undergo a special training, they grow together and become companions and friends alike.
Lisa Lisa: The strict but heartful tutor of jojo2 and Zeppeli2. She's a strong female character and the strongest ripple user so far. She seems to be untouchable for most of the time since she....well...never really fights at first. And when she finally does, she *SPOILER* gets fucked pretty hard since she couldn't see through the obvious trap of the mainvillain. I really liked her, though. She gets emotional but doesn't show it easily and can't help but to like Jojo2 and zeppeli2, even though they are, especially JoJo2, annoying the shit out of her.
The Pillarmen: There are a total of 4 Pillarmen, but only 3 of them really matter: Their names are (I'm not making this up) Santana, Wham, ACDC and Cars. Seriously. Someone must have been a fan of american music xD
Anyways, Santana is just an apprentice with nearly no screentime, Wham is an extremely respectful Soldier that nearly surpasses JoJo2's tactician skills and that JoJo2 even salutes to, ACDC is a real asshole and Cars, the strongest of them, is a mixed bag. He doesn't want to hurt living things like plants and stuff, but he wants to destory humanity. He has no respect towards anything at all and uses every trick in the book of traps to win fights. Sadly, he's up against jojo2 who's the juggernaut of tactics and tricks.
For some reason, every single one of these characters constantly makes some strange poses while fighting. I mean, they look pretty cool but....kinda stupid at the same time.
9/10
Enjoyment:
I really enjoyed watching this. I don't think I need to say much more. It's an awesome anime, go watch it right now if you're into shonen, if not....well watch it simply to say that you've watched an anime called Jojo's bizarre adventure.
10/10
Overall:
9.2/10
Ps: Sorry I didn't highlight more characters, but I'm already writing this for an hour so far and don't wanna spend all evening telling you how awesome the characters are.

With the beginning of the second season which is coming up soon, I thought I'd write a little review about SAO. My god this'll be horrible. Don't get me wrong, I love this anime, I simply dom't wanna rate it lower than i feel about it. But it cannot be helped.
Story: The story is one of the biggest cockteases I have ever seen in my life. It starts out soo promising, with a vesry strong opening and first arch, but ultimately carries on way too fast with too many sideplots and simply boring archs (Talking about the honeymoon arch) to actually make it possible
...
for the viewer to enjoy the mainplot. But all of that could be forgotten if the whole story didn't go bullocks after the first half of the anime. I really enjoyed SAO with it's lolicons and it's whatevers but the second half, ALO, was boring, predictable and stupid. Though I have to mention the awesome setting of SAO. That was it. 4/10
Art: Now this is one of the two things where SAO shines. The artstyle is beatiful, with interesting settings (though one is a little too girly) which really give the feeling as if they really are in a mmorpg. Characterdesigns are awesome, every piece of armor having that typical medieval but still japanese adapted style to them taht people love about mmorpgs, which spawned a million SAO cosplays over the past two years. The monster designs are interesting but not too surprising or innovative. But hey, it's a mmorpg, what do you expect :D. The dungeons between the "maps" are the most interesting part of the environment, especially the "Zebra" dungeon. But the crown jewel of this anime are the action scenes, especially the bossfights being so well coregraphed and beatiful-looking that you wish you were a part of them. 9/10
Ps: But the most important part of the art is....
Sound: ...that it's in prefect sync with the beatiful soundtrack by Yuki Kajiura. The opening is maybe a little girly but nevertheless good for a few hours of repetetive listening while playing WoW, Aura kingdom, Guild Wars or whatever you like to play. but the opening is nothing compared to the well timed medieval soundtracks in the towns, the highly orchestral pieces out on the fields, inside dungeons and in bossfights. Seriously, you feel, sorry for being repetetive, as if you are in an mmorpg. I know I say that too often but I think that's what the soundtrack and the art should deliver here. 9/10
Character: Again, this is one strike to the balls (Or the ovaries, depending on which gender you are). Let's go through them chronologically: Kirito, the main character, is a lone wolf who somehow manages, by being a total dick toards most people, creating a harem. No idea what the girls see in him: "OOh, he's soo alone but he actually looks okay and he's cool because he's the only one wearing black. I think I want to f*** him". Something like that. It's just soo unrealistic, especially in the world of gaming. Moving on: Asuna. She's the incarnation of this whole anime. Really awesome first half, shitty second half. She seriously has negative character development, evolving from a very interesting, independent and stong female character to your generic moe blob that can't do anyting without her bf. This is a sad day for female leading roles.......anyways next: The Harem consists of a lot of uninspired female characters whose archs are mainly solved within one episode, including the shy scared one, the hyper one, the one you wish to be your little siste, the actual little sister and the ....daughter?! Ehh, I'll be honest....I love Yui because she's the only haremgirl that neitehr want to fuck him nor want to be his wife. She simply loves Kirito and Asuna and I think that's something awesome, though her arch was boring as fuck. Also, her voice is by Kanae itou.....I love Kanae Itou........anyways there are still a lot of characters to go, but I don't want to refelct on all fo them. The first villain is awesome, the second one is not. The first love is awesome(at least in the first half), the second one is not.(Leafa/Suguha was forced into this anime way too much)
I love the fact that they even included this background dude that actually acted like he was a girl but then turns into the 30 year old creep :D
The last thing I must mention that it's awesome to see how the gamers are completely perplexed and mentally crushed after they heard that they are stuck in the game and slowly develop to find a liking to SAO and it's daily life, much different than Log Horizon f/e where everyone except for the maincast falls into a deep depression and the maincast is just like "So....we're stuck in this game, huh? Okay.". Realistic, but overall mediocre. 5/10
Now my personal Enjoyment: I really liked this anime and I enjoy rewatching it every three months. It has some fatal flaws and yes, the long awaited OVA was just a beach episode with Asuna having a stupid haircolor which made me think of her as Nerine from Shuffle! the whole time but taht doesn't matter. I don't know why, but I'd recommend this anime to anyone, though I realise it has some really great faults and stupidities and so on, but....this is it. This is the dream many of us had for years: Being able to live in a game, I would seriously give up all i have to do that and I think that's why I love this anime so much. Enjoyment 8/10
Well, this results in an overall 7/10, there are some animes out there that are a lot better, but no one who enjoys playing videogames can deny that this is a dream. A dream that will hopefully come true soon enough for us to still enjoy it. I think that is also why there are so many people in the community that call this the best anime ever without taking any criticism: Because they don't want their dreams to be crushed. So everyone out there who reads this: Don't be to harsh one those who believe this is one of the best anime ever.
