I freaking love this anime! Non Non Biyori is my favourite anime of all time; it melts my heart every time I watch it, and it never fails to make me happy when I am feeling sick or depressed. Let's review it, shall we?
The first aspect of this anime that immediately caught my eye was the exquisite background art. The first few moments of the first episode was lots of establishing shots of beautiful countryside, and it evoked a wonderful, peaceful feeling. There are seasonal changes too! Much like Vivaldi's Four Seasons, the series perfectly captures the unique feel of each season.
...
Another aspect of this show I love is the music! Hidamari Michi to Ren-chon, the first song that plays, soothes me so much. I love how the song perfectly fits the transition from establishing shots to Renge playing her recorder. I listen to the whole soundtrack regularly, while writing, because it relaxes me so much.
The characters are so cute! Renge is my favourite; I love every scene that she is in. I love the stoic expression she has most of the time, I love her curious nature, I love her unique naming sense, I love her talents; Renge is best girl.
Side note: this anime may have been what triggered my love of Shoujo Ai and Yuri, due to Hotaru's adorable crush on Koma-chan.
This series reminds me very much of my early childhood. I grew up on an Island, in a house that was about a kilometer from the main village. The elementary school was pretty small, not as small as the one in Non Non Biyori, but still pretty small. I spent a lot of time enjoying nature and catching small creatures as a small child. I bought snacks with pocket change at the store. Basically, Non Non Biyori reminds me of my childhood, with rose-tinted glasses. This show fills me with a nice sense of familiarity.
Overall, I give Non Non Biyori a 10/10! I love the art, the music, the characters, and the sense of familiarity from living in a small village myself. The only flaw I can see with this show is the super slow pace; some audiences may not be able to enjoy it because of that. Another show I recommend is K-On, which is also a CGDCT show.

“It was like a can of air refresher after someone took a nasty shit” [Godzillathon #24 “Godzilla 2000” Cinemassacre]
You obviously have to watch the original Higurashi and Higurashi Kai (or play the visual novels) before watching this OVA. Also, there'll be some spoilers for those two seasons in this review.
When I first watched this OVA, I was pleasantly surprised! I had just been watching Rei and Kira, so I was naturally skeptical of anything beyond the first two seasons. Rei and Kira were the "nasty shit" mentioned in the quote above, by the way.
This OVA is an interesting take on Hinamizawa Syndrome. It shows how
...
the government would actually respond to such a bug; they send the military in to quarantine the area. It was very fun to watch. I also really enjoyed seeing all Hinamizawa descending into insanity and chaos. I really enjoyed watching Keiichi and Rena take down crazed townsfolk.
Studio Deen really brought their A-game with the visuals. I especially praise the action scenes for their fluidity. Rena slicing through people with her nata has never looked so great!
I definitely praise the music! My favourite piece of Higurashi music ever is the ending music, You –Visionen im Spiegel by Yuzuki. The music during the action scenes is epic too!
The story is very much self-contained. However, I personally believe that this OVA is something you MUST watch after finishing the first two seasons of Higurashi. Rei and Kira can go eff of in a corner.
I give this a 9/10. For a worst recommendation (I can't think of any horror OVA's that are better than Outbreak), I suggest the Corpse Party OVA's- ACTUALLY, NO! Pick up the game from Steam or whatever. The Corpse Party OVA's sucked!

So, I finally watched it… the infamous School Days. It was bad, but not as bad as I was expecting.
It started off being pretty boring and slightly infuriating. Itou Makoto was tolerable for the first three episodes, then he became the biggest sleazebag I've ever seen in anime. I became livid by the later half of the series. I don't want to spoil the ending, but I will say that Makoto does get what he deserves, and it was very satisfying. Kotonoha Katsura was the only character I actually had pity for.
The art and animation is sub par to average at best. The character designs
...
are too similar to each other. Before I watched the show, I almost couldn’t tell any of the girls apart!
The music and sound is one of the high points of the series. I especially like "Kanashimi no mukou e", the song that plays during my favourite scene. It’s actually a pretty decent song.
Overall, I give this show a 4/10. The ending alone ups the rating substantially. For a better recommendation, I suggest Mirai Nikki. You will only want to punch the protagonist, not stab him a bunch of times in the chest.

Anitore is an “exercise anime”. Basically, it’s an anime that expects you to get up and move along with the characters. It’s a nice idea, and other mediums have done it before with moderate success, but it is very poorly executed in this anime.
The exercises are all less than bare-minimum. In the one of the episodes, the character only does ten push-ups and ten crunches, and then goes to get a FREAKING ICE CREAM! There are more examples of this. the girl (a different girl) does ten squats and ten back extensions, and THEN EATS A FULL-COURSE MEAL! Basically, the exercises are made completely pointless!
...
Now, you might say "But you don't HAVE to do everything the characters do," but that brings me on to the reason the things mentioned previously bother me.
Ultimately the biggest problem is the fact that it is structured for people to follow along, and the characters don't do sufficiently. Not only do they do insufficient exercises, they also sometimes do things that are unhealthy, which shouldn't occur in these instructional exercise things. Now, most viewers may do the smart thing and not follow along with the non-exercise stuff, but we all know that there exists the minority which this anime was directed towards, the obsessed ones.
The obsessed ones will listen to anything their on-screen waifus tell them to do, including taking breaks from their insufficient exercise to eat. They'll probably even go to the gym and embarrass themselves in public watching this.
Seriously, you do not want to watch this anime in public. There is some fan service in this anime. I definitely had to wear headphones for this one, because the girls were making... let's just say odd noises whenever they reached ten. Holy crap! Maybe that's why they can't go past ten! THEY ALL HAVE PERSISTENT GENITAL AROUSAL DISORDER! If they go any further, they'll lose control and make a mess! It all makes sense now. Basically, people with PGAD get spontaneously aroused, unpredictably or under certain triggers. It seems the specific trigger for these girls is stationary exercises! Wow, now I feel sorry for laughing at the sounds they were making. Their lives must be hell...
What was I talking about? Oh yeah, my review of this anime. Overall, I give this anime a 4/10. For a better recommendation, I suggest One Punch Man. While it is not an "exercise anime", at least it gets you pumped up and features a man who has a DECENT WORKOUT ROUTINE.
