It's been a while since I've encountered an anime that i can rate this high. A show that really makes you think and feel. Psycho-Pass is truly an outstanding anime that gives something different to the table.
Now when i say different, i do not necessarily mean something new. Action/sci-fi/ cop shows have been around long before Psycho-Pass. So you might be thinking then "what's so special about this anime".
The reason i enjoyed Psycho-Pass so much is because i felt that it was done just right. They provided just the right amount of the two main ingredients that make up this show, action and conflicting beliefs.
...
The action excites the viewers stimulus, and the conflicting beliefs makes us pause and think just what is right and what is wrong. If these two do not appeal to you, then you mine as well stop reading and drop this anime.
Think to yourself right now, "what is my definition of good and evil?". The main conflict of Psycho-Pass revolves around this question. Everyone has their own interpretations of good and evil, and we all act accordingly to fix what we designate as bad and protect what we deem to be good. Add in some nice fight scenes and a futuristic Dystopian society and the end result is Psycho-Pass.
The characters... it is a real shame, but i simply could not give this a ten. I gave this a nine simply because i loved the main character, Kougami Shinya, and his archenemy, Makishima Shougo. These two characters were like two sides of a coin. They are so similar in the sense that they are both radical supporters of their own views and ideals. The difference lies in their ideals and views, which causes them to conflict with each other in amazing battles of whits and strength.
As much as i loved Kougami and Makishima, there was just something about the other characters that did not click with me. The creators made a visible effort to make us connect with them, but i did not feel much of a connection unless they died or something. Even then i did not grieve as much as i would normally for an anime character because i simply did not feel like i knew enough about them. Perhaps it's because they do not get enough dialog in because i feel like i have such a vague understanding of them all by the end.
This is not to say that i disliked them though. They were still good characters that added on to my enjoyment of Psych-Pass. It's just that i feel that they could have been so much more. (For those of you who have watched Psycho-Pass, you might have noticed i have completely ignored Akane. The reason is because i think she is pretty much worthless to the story. They might have improved her a little by the end, but i still do not like her).
Ever since I have watched Guilty Crown, I've been a huge fan of Egoist. Imagine my surprise when i learned they were doing the first and 2nd closing songs for Psycho-Pass. They were both top notch, and the openings songs were not bad as well. The BGM's fit the atmosphere of every scene to a near perfect extent.
I will admit that the whole "omitting of moe" from this anime had turned me off a bit at first. Seeing how most anime focuses on making cute and/or sexually appealing female characters, i did not think this would have been the best move for the creator of Psycho-Pass. It did not help when i saw the character design of the main heroine, Akane; however, it slowly dawned on me that the lack of random panty shots every other scene was actually a huge blessing. The awesome fight animations more than made up for the lack of any visually appealing female characters.
Ahh... what an awesome series this was. If they were not stuffing straight up action into my face, they were killing me with suspense. When they were doing neither of those things, they question and challenged my own beliefs. For those of you who are interested in any of the three genres that Psycho-Pass is labeled under in MAL, then i highly suggest you give this a shot. Just make sure to keep your Psycho-Pass under control while your watching.

...and the reward for best Ecchi anime of 2012 goes to... To LOVE-Ru Darkness!!!
Those of you who do not like Ecchi/fanservice anime might want to stop reading here. This anime focuses mainly on these two things and will most likely not be for you. Now for those who are in to Ecchi/fanservice, I will tell you why i think To LOVE-Ru Darkness is so great.
To LOVE-Ru Darkness is a sequel to the original To LOVE-Ru series. I highly suggest watching To LOVE-Ru, Motto To LOVE-Ru, and all the OVA's before you watch Darkness. For those who have watched and are familiar with the To
...
LOVE-Ru series, To LOVE-Ru Darkness continues straight off from where Motto To LOVE-Ru leaves off. It - believe it or not- actually has a plot to it that extends for more than one episode.
The story this time mostly focuses on the alien princess Momo and her harem plan for her beloved Yuuki Rito. We also get a some back story about Yami, who was a side character for most of the To LOVE-Ru series. The plot is nothing special, but it is still pretty good. We get random nonsensical episodes here and there, then we would be thrown back into the actual story. There is a good balance of serious scenes and comedic scenes that makes the series quite enjoyable even if you do not like Ecchi that much.
An important thing to remember is not to focus too much on the plot though. Like the other To LOVE-Ru series, the story should not be taken too seriously. The issues do not even get resolved by the last episode, so yes it is a cliff hanger ending. What truly carries this series is it's very appealing fanservice.
That brings us to the artwork. The backgrounds are extremely bright and colorful. The characters are beautifully drawn and very hot. If you are looking for an anime with a cast of very sexy girls doing borderline hentai stuff, then this is what you are looking for. The only problem is the bright lights of censorship, but those will be taken away in the blu-ray releases.
The characters are really nothing special though. Yes, they are all pretty, but their personalities are as generic as you can get in anime. The way i see it, you can split the characters in to two groups. One side has all of the girls who want the main character, Yuuki Rito , and will be all over him when ever they get screen time. The other side also likes Rito, but they are too shy to express their feelings. Pretty normal for a harem anime.
Does this mean that they are not fun to watch? Hell no. Watching their hilarious and erotic interactions with Rito has been great a experience. Many of these scenes are very risque, so it would be best to turn down the volumes and lock your bedroom doors. This is probably the best part of To LOVE-Ru Darkness. Some of the scenes might seem a bit cliche- like the classic falling over and groping a girl's chest scene- but it can still be very amusing. Enjoy To LOVE-Ru for the Ecchi/fanservice because that is where this show excels the most.
So what is my overall opinion of this anime? It's a great show, but definitely not perfect. Its ability to only attract a specific audience- the Ecchi/fanservice lovers- severely lowers it's potential. For those of us who do favor fanservice heavy shows, then this is like a treasure among treasures. Definitely give this a shot because you'll like what you see.

Beautiful art and appealing soundtracks. You're probably thinking, "This will be amazing!", right? Well it isn't. There are many flaws and factors that drags K down from being a well done anime to a below average one.
Let us start with a close look at the story. Our hero, Isana Yashiro, goes on an errand one day and is suddenly attacked by a group of men on the streets. It is later revealed that he is blamed for a murder that he does not remember committing. An interesting plot with a decent bit of potential behind it.
Everything is fine until we realize the plot comes to
...
a complete standstill. After many questions and events are raised, we come to the mid-way point of K. That is when it becomes apparent that the anime is not going anywhere. As this dreadful standstill is happening, more and more questions arise every episode. Plot twists are added as an attempt to make everything more bearable, but it just adds to the confusion. To remedy this situation, the creators tried to cram all of the answers in to the last few episodes. The result was a rushed ending with plot holes left floating around everywhere.
To summarize the story, i'd have to say it was a complete mess that was painful to watch. The creators wanted to make the anime more interesting and unique by continuously adding elements to their plot, but they ended up dropping the ball big time.
Characters are supposed to have vibrant characteristics and at least seem somewhat realistic. That is because to get the most enjoyment out of a story, we must be able to connect and feel with the characters. I was not able to do that with anyone in K.
As an attempt to make the characters seem as cool as possible, they were all given silent and complex personalities. We get no insight into what the characters are actually thinking, and the minimal dialog is of little help as well. They are so unnatural and impossible to figure out. Most of them are like emotionless statues that just talk occasionally for the sake of being alive. There is also a severe lack of character growth and development that destroys any chances left of connecting with the characters. The creators tried too hard and ultimately made the characters too complex and just plain uninteresting to watch.
Although the storytelling in K was horrid, the visuals and music were of the highest grade. The BGMs had a nice ring to them, and the surreal backgrounds had my eyes glued to the screen for every second of every episode. Character animations and fight scenes were extremely detailed to the point where i have nothing but praise for them.Since it would be annoying to listen to me ramble on about the art, i will just leave it at that. All you need to know is that i thought it was very good.
While my eyes and ears were indeed very entertained with K, my brain was moaning from boredom and distress for a significant portion of the time. My enjoyment was greatly derailed by the plot and characters. Good art and music was the only thing that kept me going.
In the end, i have no choice really but to condemn this anime. It was simply uninteresting and poorly done. Perhaps they focused too much on how it looked and totally forgot to write a story until the last minute. Either way, i would only recommend watching this if you are very curious about it.

Guilty pleasures...things you know are bad but like them regardless. This show would have to be one of my biggest guilty pleasures of 2012. So generic, so predictable, yet funny and entertaining at the same time.
Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne, or OniAi, is yet another fan service heavy romance anime. An incestuous tale about about a high-school girl who, after six long years, finally gets to see her beloved brother. After some random unexplained developments, the story develops into a harem in just the first episode.
From there, the plot becomes extremely predictable to the point of just being plain sad.
...
A mere copy and paste of every other bland romantic comedy. As if having one of those every season now isn't bad enough. At least add some twists to it like Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru did.
The characters are just as predictable. You have your normal guy main character who just wants a quiet life. Then you have your cast of horny, hot, and cute girls. All of which fall into generic anime stereotypes. Examples? Well you have your brother complex little sister, childhood friend, rich blond girl, and mature/seductive girl. I can't say they were not funny though. It is always amusing to watch anime chicks do crazy things for the one they love.
There isn't much i can say for the sound, except that i think the voice actors did a good job. They portrayed the cute cast of girls very well. The opening song and its suggestive scenes were pretty good too. Not to mention it was very erotic.
I loved the artwork in OniAi. Silver Link and their bright animations always gave me a pleasant feeling inside. The backgrounds were colorful, and the characters looked very attractive.
OniAi severely lacks in originality and effort to keep the viewers interested. Fan service and cliche jokes were the only thing that kept me watching. Honestly, that was all it took. Boobs and lame jokes had me watching this all the way to episode twelve. Sometimes, that is all it takes to make an anime enjoyable.
OniAi was an OK anime overall. Like i said in the beginning, this is a guilty pleasure. There are obviously many faults with it, but that does not mean you should completely condemn this series without giving it a shot. Lower your expectations and bit, and enjoy it for what it is.

Aliens, known as the B.E.T.A, invade our planet in the year 1973. They mindlessly attack humans and devour us like food. There is no way to communicate with these B.E.T.A , so our only option left is to fight them. To do so, we humans invent giant humanoid machines called Tactical Surface Fighters (or TSFs). Pilots are trained to man these machines and fight in the front lines against the B.E.T.A forces; however, this is not a story about those who fight in the front lines. This is a side story about the test pilots who make sure the TSFs are suitable for use on
...
the front lines.
A side story...most people lower their expectations when they hear this. Side stories are usually not as good because they are simply a tool used to promote the main series. This is pretty much the case for Muv-luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. It is a spin-off of the original Light Novel series, Muv-Luv Alternative. With that in mind, i walked into this anime with lowered expectations. I advise you all to do the same.
It all started out fine. The B.E.T.A invades Japan, and our heroine Takamura Yui fights them off with her friends. They are in turn horribly massacred by the B.E.T.A, and Yui is forced to watch as her friends get eaten alive right before her eyes. A dark and bloody atmosphere is built by the third episode... but then that atmosphere gets destroyed almost instantly. It becomes extremely obvious a few episodes later that the first two episodes were a trap.
Total Eclipse switches from that dark and brooding atmosphere to a beach episode in just a few episodes. It almost becomes a sort of romance/slice of life anime later on. The story then starts to become more and more inconsistent. They go from people getting eaten alive in Japan to a military base in Alaska. From there they go to a beach resort and then another military base in Russia. They eventually even end up in a hot spring somewhere and somehow. By the time we get to the halfway point of the series, almost no traces of the feeling gotten from the first two episodes remained. The inconsistency of the setting makes the plot a jumbled mess, and it becomes increasingly difficult to understand where it is going.
I have mixed feelings towards the characters in Total Eclipse. I don't hate them, but i do not exactly like them either. Our main hero,Yuyaa Bridges is pretty much your average day superman. Nothing can get pass his thick, thick Plot Armor. He gets surrounded by hundreds of B.E.T.A? He cuts them down and leaves with a nearly broken machine. He gets surrounded by a group of other TSFs? Gets off without a scratch. It becomes harder and harder to believe that this man can get so lucky.
You would think that his luck would run out near the end, but it does not. Somehow, out of nowhere, this guy manages to create a Harem during the last few episodes. There is almost no prior development with any members of his harem except Yui. They all flock to him for simple generic reasons like, "he is a nice guy", or "he is super talented". It looked like the writers just wanted to mix in as many genres as they possibly could. The romance looked really force and it in turn made most of the characters look very shallow. That is not to say i hated the cast of characters. I personally found them amusing to watch despite being very generic and boring at times. By generic i mean they all fitted specific stereotypes. Yuuya was the all powerful main character. Yui was your text book example of a tsundere.
The artwork in Total Eclipse can be very deceiving. A majority of the scenes would be drawn and animated very well. This puts up the appearance that the series' artwork is actually well done; however, there would always be a handful of scenes where the animators got extremely lazy. In these scenes, the characters would look like weird blobs with a face and clothes. Said scenes were done very poorly and degrades the overall quality of the anime.
I have always been very lenient on mech animations. I like them all no matter what, and Total Eclipse was no exception. The TSFs artwork and animation were impressive, but there was one problem. All of the TSFs looked the same. The only difference was a variety in colors. Everything else about them were so similar that it was hard for me to tell which was which. A team of TSFs would all look exactly the same, so telling them apart was nearly impossible.
Music was the best aspect of this series for me. I loved every track from the first opening and ending to the second opening and closing song. The first opening "Go to the top" took a unique and different approach. It was a nice and catchy rock song that went surprisingly well with this anime. The second opening, "Doubt the World" gave me shivers with its epic final battle sort of feel. It was an appropriate song for the last few episodes. The ending theme, "Revise the world", has probably become one of my favorite ending songs. It had such a sad and intense feel to it. A wonderful song for an epic climax and conclusion to a story. Now if only the ending to Total Eclipse was not so anti-climatic ...
It might seem like i really hated this series, but i actually quite enjoyed it. A sort of guilty pleasure was what it was. Total Eclipse was obviously something along the lines of sub par, but i found it enjoyable all the same. After all, nothing beats aliens, giant mechs, and hot girls in tight suits.

*WARNING MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*
Life can be boring, lonely and even painful at times. We humans naturally tend to avoid these feelings because of the discomfort they give us. We try to run away from them, but it is no use. Reality is all around as, and there is no place for us to hide. Our only option is to blast reality..and burst it into shreds!
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai focuses on a girl who does just that. She cannot accept reality, so she denies the fact that it's there. This girl opposes reality by being a Chuunibyou. But you might be wondering...what is a Chuunibyou?
...
By definition, a Chuunibyou is someone who pretends like they are in junior high/8th grade. 8th graders are believed to discover new self-awareness at this time in their life. They often pretend to be something they are not. For example, a super hero or an evil villain. By being a Chuunibyou, these people can successfully escape from reality by being the someone or something that they want to be.
Our story starts with a boy by the name of Togashi, Yuuta. Yuuta has spent his 8th grade year pretending to be the Dark Flame Master. In other words, he was a Chuunibyou. Now that he is a high-school student, he looks back at that time in his life shamefully. He is extremely embarrassed about being a Chuunibyou and even moves to a faraway high-school to avoid his classmates in middle school. Yuuta just wants to be a normal student now, and make new friends.
Then we have Takanashi, Rikka. She is a girl who has just become a Chuunibyou. Rikka is in the same class as Yuuta and takes an interest in him. Of course, Yuuta wants nothing to do with her. He wants to seem as normal as possible to his new classmates in high-school.
And so the two's hilarious little adventure ensues.
Chuunibyou goes through two major shifts in its story. The first half of it is a happy going tale about Yuuta and Rikka's interaction with each other. This slowly builds up an understanding between the two, and that understanding eventually builds up in to love. The second half is a more dramatic and meaningful story. The theme is clearly visible in the second half as Rika comes to terms with growing up and accepting reality. That is to say the first half was more happy and silly, while the second half was more depressing. All in all, the story can be summed up as short, sweet, simple, and silly. It is told near flawlessly with many laughs along the way. The relationships were not rushed, and everything progresses smoothly.
Moving on to the characters... this is what i loved most about Chuunibyou. They have fun personalities and very entertaining dialog. They are all a lovable bunch who develop naturally in their own ways. My favorite of the bunch would definitely have to be the heroine, Rikka.
Rikka has become one my favorite anime characters this year. She can be defined just like the story. Short, sweet, simple, and silly...well not really simple. She is very complex in the way she acts. It sometimes becomes difficult to understand her speech without Yuuta there to translate it, but that is just how she is. Rikka pretends that she wields a power called "The Wicked Eye", and she uses it to search for a place called the "Ethereal Horizon". That is her Chuunibyou. She diligently follows this idea throughout the story until we reach the shift as i like to call it. We discover why she acts the way she does as the plot moves in to its more dramatic side. Rikka shows much character development here as she learns what it means to love and fit into society. This is all done at a reasonable pace that the viewers can enjoy. It becomes very entertaining to watch her fall in love and learn what love is; however, it was very sad seeing Rikka force herself to stop being a Chuunibyou. She becomes a relatable character because everyone has problems that they want to escape from. Most of us tend to want to escape to a different reality as well. Isn't that more or less why we watch anime?
The most lovable part of Rikka's character was probably her Chuunibyou acts and her interactions with Yuuta. Rika would go around the streets swinging an umbrella around and yell weird phrases. She would do the goofiest things while looking extremely cute. Rikka did not care what others thought of her actions. Because of this, Rikka goes on to do weird and comical things that may seem stupid to some. For example, she would yell out "BANISHMENT... THIS WORLD!" and get into a imaginary battles with people. I like to say that " it's so stupid, it's funny". Her interactions with Yuuta are also very amusing to watch. Yuuta would hit her on the head whenever Rikka did something wrong or weird. This causes Rikka to make the cutest little moaning sound. When Rikka starts to fall in love with Yuuta, she begins to blush a lot and act more "girly". If i had to sum up Rika in one word, it would have to be ADORABLE.
Yuuta, the other main character, has a little less going for him. He is far from boring, but Rikka's dynamic character simply seems to overshadow his. Yuuta goes crazy whenever someone mentions his pass "Dark Flame Master" identity. This is what makes him realistic because people are naturally embarrassed about doing things that society deems unnatural. He wants nothing to do with Chuunibyous, but Rikka slowly begins to change him. He starts to become more understanding and ends up being a very good match for Rikka.
Character designs further increases the characters likability, especially Rikka's cuteness. They are simple and plain, yet very appealing. As expected from Kyoto animations. A wonderful job was done with the scenery and the animations. Lights in the horizon and the imaginary Chuunibyou fights looked spectacular. Everything was wonderful to the point of breathtaking. The only problem i had was the repeated flashing and dancing in the opening that was quite seizure inducing.
There is not much to say for the sound quality. I enjoyed the catchy opening song, and the ending song had a nice beat to it, but i did not feel like the ending song fit the mood very well for the last few episodes . The episode would end on a sad note and then this somewhat goofy song would start playing, and that kinda killed the mood for me.The opening song went well with the whole twelve episode though. The BGMs were all plain and nice. They fit the simple high-school days mood very well. Voice acting was also spot on. Uchidia, Maaya brought out Rikka's adorableness even further with her delighful voice.
To sum it all up, Chuunibyou is simply an amazing anime. The concept is so simple yet so unique. It is a love story with themes about growing up and being yourself, but they tell it in the most amusing of ways. A fine example for all romantic comedies out there. Definitely check it out, and i'll see you in the Ethereal Horizon.

It is pretty hard to choose where to stand for Dog Days'. On one hand you have a plotless, cheesy, and childish anime. On the other you have a nice, relaxing, refreshing, and a "good for the sou"l anime. I tend to lean more towards the second description.
Dog Days' is the second season for Dog Days (The difference is in the ' incase you haven't noticed). It would be wise to start with the first season, but it is honestly not that big of a deal if you skip that and move on to the second season. There is not much plot in either that
...
will require you to know something to fully understand either seasons.
The story of Dog Days' continues off a few months from when the main character, Shinku, first travels to another world to become a hero. Shinku is preparing to go back to that world with his two friends, Nanami and Rebecca, to enjoy their summer vacation... That is pretty much it. Nothing else extravagant really happens... There is no major bad guy who is out to destroy the world or any extreme danger that the main characters must face and overcome. The first season at least had a story to it, but there is pretty much nothing to the second season of Dog Days.
Plot and interesting story is not really where Dog Days - the first or second season- shines. Dog Days is more of a feel good show that warms your heart with constantly happy and cheerful characters. You feeling down? Then go and watch Dog Days cause nothing ever goes wrong here. No one dies or really gets hurt. The whole show is just episode after episode of the Heroes FUN adventures in another world. If you look at the Dog Days series in this way then it really is a well done anime.
Despite the lack of any actual plot, everything else about this anime was wonderful. The art work was all colorful and extremely pleasant to look at. All the characters were very cute, or "moe moe", and the different events- like the wars and the concerts- were animated nicelyl.
The OSTs for Dog Days all set the mood very well. I personally preferred the music from this season better than the first, but both were very good. Like the story of the anime, the music are all cheerful and relaxing.
Like i mentioned earlier, the characters in this show are all very nice and cute. Everyone has their own distinct personalities and none of them are really bad. It is pretty hard to hate on a group of middle school kids with cat/dog/squirrel ears and tails. If you do...well then this anime won't be to your liking.
I really enjoyed Dog Day'. The relaxing nature of this show and its wonderful art and sound makes it a very pleasant watch. Each episode was very enjoyable (despite the lack of a story), and they had me saying "aww..." and thats nice" a lot.
Dog Days' is a very nice anime overall. It might not be to everyone's liking because of the happy and sometimes childish elements; however, i still suggest you should check it out before you judge it. You might get a pleasant surprise.

Yes, this is indeed another generic romance story. A love story between a boy and a girl in high-school which sparks into a relationship, except it is six different girls this time (and no it is actually not another lame harem).
Amagami SS is told in a dating sim style that separates the show into 6 arcs, Each arc focuses on one of the six girls that the main character can end up with. Just this already sets Amagami apart from the other animes from its genre because you get to see individually how each girl interacts with the main character for a straight
...
four episodes. In other animes of this genre, they would have focused on one girl then quickly switch to another in the next episode. Doing that makes it hard for you to get to know a character. However, Amagami SS does it right by really focusing on each of their characters and developing them each very well.
This method of story telling does have a major flaw though. Four episodes for six different characters is not nearly enough. It was enough to make me enjoy each character fairly well, but it is not enough to fully develop them. There will be times when the story feels rushed and it will appear as if a whole step was skipped in the main characters relationship with a the girl.
Even though each arc was too short, the story for each them are still very unique and different from each other. Each one is different than the one before it, so by the time your done you'll defiantly have a specific girl your rooting for. Some have more happy endings than others, but by the end of each you will definitely be satisfied with what you've seen. After one arc is over, the story switches to a alternate world or something. The events of the previous arc is null and void, so the main character is not just some player who moves from girl to girl
Like i mentioned in the second paragraph, this way of story telling lets you get to know the characters more without having random interruptions. Each episode of each arc focuses solely on the relationship between the main character and the heroine and nothing more (so no fillers yay!).
Moving on to the art of the anime, it was pretty "meh" in my opinion. It was nothing too special and did not stand out way too much. I actually preferred bland/plain art style for the characters though
In your average anime, all the characters would usually have hair colors ranging from purple to pink and busts that are pretty much unattainable for the average person in real life. The characters in Amagami SS look and act more realistic while still being very likable. They have normal hair colors (dark hair and some brunettes) and not every other girl is a f-cup.
I usually don't enjoy the type of music on these pure romance animes as much, but for Amagami SS i had to make an exceptions. Both openings," I Love" and Kimi No Mama De", were very catchy and soothing. They fit the mood of a happy relationship very well and are now a part of my favorite openings list.
The rest of the sounds in the anime (music/OSTs/voice acting) were also very well done. The music when played would fit the mood, and the characters voice actors would fit their role. The only complaint i have would be the voice for one the heroines, Nakata Sae. It is probably just my personal distaste, but her voice kind of annoyed me. I realize her character is supposed to be shy, but it was just too much for me. The other heroines voice acting were pretty good, but the side characters did voice acting did not seem too stick out too me very much (probably cause their side characters).
Overall, i really enjoyed this anime. The characters are all very likable and you really cant hate on any of them (except the main character for being a lucky a-hole). The arcs, despite being cut off every four episodes, are actually very enjoyable. It might feel a bit rushed at times because of the lack of episodes for each arc, but they still manage to rap things up very well by the time an arcs over.
Even though i really liked it, i still cannot deny that the whole anime is actually pretty generic (a boy and a girl fall in love and relationship ensues). As a whole, the anime is not something spectacular, but that does not mean it is not fun to watch. It is still a very amusing group of love stories, and i recommend you all to check it out.

So my initial expectations for this anime were pretty low because of the first "Fullmetal Alchemist" series. I dropped it because it did not seem to be going anywhere and i honestly did not find it very entertaining. FMA Brotherhood however completely changed my views on this series.
Art 9/10
I personally did not prefer the art style for the characters in this anime, but the animation/backgrounds and everything else were very good. It was nothing too over the top but the art was still better than the first FMA's so its all good.
Story 10/10
I dropped the first FMA at around episode 20 because it did not
...
seem like the story was getting anywhere. There were several episodes that felt like fillers and could have been removed without seriously harming the series. FMA Brotherhood removed those episodes and therefore was able to add more content (although it did feel a bit rushed at times). The whole story was still told in a way that had me hooked and wanting more. Surprising twists occurred in almost every episode, and everything was neatly explained by the time the series ended. I rarely feel sad to see a series end when theirs still 14 episodes left but i did for this series. Everything was built up so well that i know that the series would end with a bang, but there will be no more after that.
Sound 10/10
I had not really paid that much attention to the OST in FMA Brotherhood. That is not to say it was bad though, i know they were really good. The openings stuck out too me more though. All 5 of them were amazing. The last one especially stuck out to me because the sad tone to the music and everything going on made it apparent to me that i was nearing the end of this amazing series. It almost brings a tear to my eye every time i listen to it.
Character 10/10:
The character development in this show was superb. The two main characters, Ed and Al, had distinctive personalities that they stuck with and made them very likable. All of the other characters, even if they only had minor roles, were very likable as well. Most of them were able to change after meeting Ed and Al, and it was enjoyable to see them learn and grow as the series progressed.
Enjoyment 10/10
You really can't hate on this anime. It has everything from action to comedy and even a tad bit of romance here and there. The story gets told fluently and there is little to no filler episodes. Most all the characters get their past shown or explained so we can understand them more and grow to like them. To top all this off, the animation and music were awesome as well. If you have not checked this anime out yet then you defiantly need to ASAP.

C3... At first i thought it would turn out to be yet another generic harem/ecchi anime. Well, it still turned out to be a generic harem/ecchi anime (in my opinion), but the direction it took really surprised me.
The first episode did not set a very good base for the whole series. It felt nothing like the other 11 episodes that followed. My first thought when i saw episode 2/3 was "What the heck?? Oh god is this going to turn out like Elfen Lied or something?". Well with Elfen lied, they atleast had the decency to show just how whacked out the series was in
...
the first episode. C3 hides it until around the third episode which is very misleading and just bad planning in my opinion.
The only reason i even gave this anime a shot was because i didn't have that many new anime that i wanted to watch. I was already hesitant to continue after the first few episodes, but i went and finished the whole series anyways. Let me just say that it was more or less what i expected it to be, boring and full of fanservice (not in the good way).
The art is probably the only thing that stopped me from dropping this anime after each episode i watched. The fight scenes were pretty well done (especially the last one). It was really good of course because the studio that made it was Silver Link (Baka to test ftw), but it is quite sad when that is really the only thing keeping the viewers from dropping it.
The music was nice as well. The opening song , Curios, was one of those few openings that i wouldn't skip over every episode. It was nice and soothing, and the OSTs were pretty well done as well.
The characters... there is not much to say about them. They stay pretty static throughout the whole series and are quite boring. If i had to say, the two most interesting character are probably Kirika Ningyouhara (side character/part of the harem) and Peavey Barowi (pyscho villain). Interesting does not mean i like them though.
When i first read the synopsis for C3, i thought it was quite interesting. It was still a bit interesting when i watched it, but i felt that it was very badly portrayed in the anime. I find myself forgetting what the story is about from one episode to another. In the end, it seems like they just wanted to rush through and finish the anime.
The ending left me very unsatisfied and i felt like i just wasted a few hours of my life. They were probably trying to get people to read the light novel, but i probably won't be doing it. This show overall did not keep me very entertained with its mediocre story line, but it was still decent enough for me to push through and finish it. I would recommend watching this only if you have nothing else to do, or if you are very Curios about it.
