Despite both series have their significant diferences when it comes to their themes, characters, and way they manage their plot's structure overall, it is true they also share many similitudes such as a male lead surrounded by female characters who have a crush on him on a school student council setting that follows a largely episodic approach to their history and development. Thus, these two series warrant a recommendation for one another, or at least that's what I would say.

Akiba's Trip The Animation

Both series revolve around a male protagonist who gets dragged against his will into some sort of "superhero enterprise mainly composed of members of the opposite gender and such. Both agrupations combat "evil" organizations (or at least what they percive as such) through the duration of the anime with ecchi and comedic situations thrown in there whenever there's an oportunity to do so. Akiba's Trip is more than anything a "lighter" and "less serious" version of Shimoneta and will result enjoyable for the fans of the former no doubt.

Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san

Both series consist of extremely short (less than 5 minutes) episodes whose main chapters are filled to the brim with jokes and gag-humor around every corner. Altough Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san deals with more romantic matters while Plastic Neesan is more comedic on its contents, I believe both series are similar enough to warrant a recommendation.

If you ever found yourself enjoying the craziness and over-the-top situations Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan delivered at times, then try Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan. Both series are a prime example of absurdist anime with no shortage of ridiculous and funny situations that no doubt will get a laugh or two out of you should you like these kind of series to begin with.

Mitsuboshi Colors

While it is true that the plot of Urara Meirochou revolves around more serious and "academic" pursuits than those of Mitsuboshi Colors, the element of cute lolis doing cute things on their daily life stays true on both series. The audience of either anime could fine the other one enjoyable precisely for that.
