My first impression of this anime is that the point of it is kind of like trying to knock off possible elements from a list that could create a utopia of sorts. Each "country" they visit has it's own issues, own resolve, own people. Some are bad and some good but the emphasis is on the pov of the people living in the country themselves. As a traveler, Kino is smart and doesn't make judgements that override whatever the rules or governmental aspects, etc are and act without caution. He might seem heartless in the fact that he, most of the
...
time, is calculating and only thinking of himself but most of all, he knows his goal is "experiencing" and not there for "judging". That point is clear. If you can't tell, I love this aspect of how the character was built.
The story isn't half bad at all. But, it doesn't really have a story, it's very episodic with the two leads Kino and Shizu traveling (for two different reasons). Each country has it's own section of the journey these two take.
There wasn't really anything noticeable to mention for sound so I just gave it a 6 for fair. The art was fine and worked for the story. Nothing noticeably special either. But, overall, I did really enjoy it, so I gave it an 8.
I would recommend this as a passing anime. It isn't particularly good but it has a very interest set for the story, the theme of beauty is in the eye of the beholder type thing going from country to country.

I loved it. At first, I thought the mc were little kids, and I was kind of averse to it (since it probably would be more of a kids show then), but the story is about them in the past and present point of the characters lives, from grade school to junior high to high school.
The story wasn't bad. It isn't a hardcore sports anime like Haikyuu or Kuroko's Basketball. It is about baseball and it does show competition episodes but it also involves themes like family and romance that isn't exactly tied to baseball very strongly like the hardcore
...
sports anime that have everything revolve around the sport.
I watched this anime because it was recommended to me as a romance option to binge. To be completely honest, at first I was like, this doesn't really have any romance at all. I mean, yes, they do talk about relationships and romance but it isn't apparent in the show. Near the later quarter of the series though, romance becomes more of an apparent theme. It is still an undertone but it grows heavier and heavier as the purpose and call for the romance between the mcs become more and more critical to define who the mcs are and why they do what they do. I have complaints about the way they showed it but I also loved that they did the romance this way too. It sets this anime apart from the usual romance animes that puts everything out in the open.
Art wise, I don't really have complaints about it. Very simple facial structures, though. Different then the art that I'm used to.
Sound wise, no complaints either. You see, I'm not very picky when it comes to sound.
Characters wise, no complaints. My only opinion is that, the anime seems to try to convey depth but you don't really get where the deepness is, if you get what I mean. You can feel that they are trying to convey depth but you don't know what it's trying to convey...kinda hard to explain.
Enjoyment wise, if you can't tell, I loved it. It wasn't awesome but it definitely is a good anime on my scale. I would recommend it and rewatch it, if I feel like it.

I enjoyed it. As a BL fan that usually tries to stay away from the more sexually explicit scenes, it's not bad at all.
The plot flowed nicely. Easily understood. It went through a more poetic like theme to the entire story. But the story was boys sharing the same room in a dormitory and developing a love-hate relationship. Kind of cliche for BL though.
One complaint, I have is more of a personal taste issue...I just don't like the art. It was bothering me the entire movie. I never had a taste for
...
the...like any pre-00s art style, over beautifying eyes on characters/guys...just not my taste. (And what was with Rosemarine's eyes?!!?!...creepy)
I would say the voice actors did pretty well to portray each part of the story. I was questioning the feminine voice choices though, but I guess, considering when this was in production...
To be completely honest, I wouldn't rewatch it. It's not poorly done that's for sure. A decent BL film with palatable sexual scenes that don't go over the top...decent plot...poetic theme...good flow through out.

***I rate things by the word scale and not the number scale, so by that statement. Overall, I rate this movie to be "very good".
I loved this movie. I don't usually love anime movies. I like them but I haven't found one that I love, but I can honestly say, I love this movie.
Enjoyment was definitely a 10. It is one of those movies that filled me with sentiments and feels through out the entire movie.
The story was really relatable and realistic. It didn't really round out everything like most fictions do. The portrayal of
...
how things can lead emotions on and develop into sadness and to even more serious cases like depression was really applaud-able in how they presented it. I feel like the movie gave a very empathetic view to those who may have suffered similar to relating issues. At least on my own personal point of view, there were definitely moments where I went, "Wow", at how close it tugged at the heart strings. What I loved about the story itself, was that its point of view...the movie didn't present from the victim's perspective. It presented the effect of how a small thing can create a chain reaction of emotions and events. The different point of views that each character has, the different personalities, that wrap the story, the event in itself, is what made me fall in love because it was able to entirely bring me in, like it was a real event that had happened.
I thought the characters were really nice. Each character had there distinctive part and role in the story. They don't really overlap in what they represent. When you put all those characters and what they are together, it makes the story so easy to understand. Even if you have never experienced something so negative in your own life, the movie will at least bring you to a sympathetic standing for the story.
As for the art and sound, I have no complaints and don't know how to judge that part any way...so in my point of view, I thought it was good. There was many scenes where they used a trick of light (like a dawn moment) to move scenes, which was really pretty. I do feel that they chop up some of the scenes pretty weird and the lineup of the plot and the scenes could've been a bit better because sometimes it moves from one scene to the next and I would have to go back to get what just happened. But...that would probably be my only complaint.
Like I said, I do love this movie. I definitely cried. Overall, I rate it to be a very good anime movie.

I enjoyed this anime and would recommend it.
It shows a lovely story about a girl having first world problems and soon finding her way to solve those issues and look at the bigger picture.
Fun slice of life. Doesn't really have much of a school theme even though the main character is a high school girl. The setting revolves around her grandmother's inn. Each character has there own little quirks and it's fun when they appear in the story. It very much revolves around the point of view of the main character, Ohana though.
Not really a romance either even
...
though she does have to deal with her love life. All the different themes in the anime tie together rather nicely. It isn't really suspenseful but still very fun to watch as the characters try to discover themselves.
The main character, Ohana's struggle really is based on a find-who-you-truly-are basis and the plot moves around that.
I don't know how to judge art and music...no complaints there either.
Story is fun. Characters are cute. Definitely enjoyable.

This is one of those shows that you have to love blood. It is so creepy and very gory in terms of how much blood it likes to splatter around. It isn't gory like putting intestines in a blender by a serial killer type gory but it is very close too it in creepy level. Personally, I tend to stay away from horror and this was on my holds list for like ever. When I picked it up again, I realized it was one of those stories where even though you may want to just drop it because of how disgusting
...
and creepy crawly it is, you would still want to keep watching just to find out what's going to happen next.
Character and sound wise, I am not a good judge of that so I just gave it a good score because I couldn't find any complaints with it.
I usually just like to judge by how much I enjoyed it and how much I enjoyed the story.
Overall, if you like gory horror, it is definitely one to go for. If you're like me, you don't like horror and gore but can't seem to pass up a good story...well, all I can say is good luck and enjoy.

This story is really geared towards a younger audience. The themes that they show are very sweet and educational. The MCs teach the audience how to work together, how to fail and try again, how to enjoy what you have, etc.
The story was great. It was cute and fun to watch. The characters weren't boring and didn't have similar traits at all. They all had their unique personalities.
As for the sound and art, I'm not really a good judge of that. All I can say is that I have no complaints.
It is a really enjoyable
...
anime to watch on your leisurely time. It is fun and quite long but the story doesn't get boring at all. It isn't the type of show that shows a similar repeat like pokemon or other competition based type shows. Even though they do go into multiple sweets competitions and have multiple competitors, but each one shows a different scenario, different sweets, different new characters, etc.
Overall, I would recommend it if you have the time to watch this anime.

To all the BL fans out there, this is a must watch movie (purely my own opinion of course).
To be honest with you, I was reluctant to watch this movie because I wasn't all that into the art style. Not that it was bad or anything, just that I watch a lot of shoujo stuff so the style is very different from what I am used too. The trailer though was what drew me in plus the high recommendations of it.
Story wise, it is a very simple love story. Not very intricate or laced up with drama, if you get
...
what I mean. And this phrase from the movie really sums up the story, it's a love between a "complex fool and a simple fool". Basically, an overanalyzing guy verus a straightforward dude. Oh and a good point to add is this movie is a conservative one, no etchyness. This may be a moot point for some but to those that have specific tastes, it's pretty important. I really love this innocent conservative type stuff.
Art wise, like I said before, I wasn't too into it but it wasn't bad.
Sound wise, nothing to complain or compliment there. The whole soundtrack is very soothing type slow music that compliments the simple story line.
Character wise, they are cute, personality and all. After watching this movie, it is really compelling me to read the manga to find out more about the couple themselves.
Enjoyment wise, it was a great movie. It was kinda slow and uninteresting in the beginning but it really hit it off after that. I grew more and more interested in the couple as the movie went on.
Overall, it is a great movie and definitely one of those that I probably would revisit from time to time. I would recommend it 100%!!!

I first of all would recommend this anime even though I'm giving it a 6.
It isn't very good story wise. But the episodic plots are cute enough.
The anime is a very cuteness bound show. If you aren't into super cutesy stuff, I wouldn't recommend it to you.
The characters have a development. The scenes have a lot of repeats.
Even though this is an idol based show. They don't introduce many new songs and dances. There's a lot of repeat but the songs are catchy.
Like I said, overall, it really isn't that great but the cutesyness of the
...
anime captures you and makes you want to see more.

This anime is one of those cheesy corny romance stories. It doesn't revolve around the romance 24/7 though. The heroine tries to solve her own problems and bumps into prince charming. Prince charming has his own issues but vows to protect the heroine. Predictable storyline.
The story isn't spectacular. It isn't a gripping one, nor is it waterworks either. It is just simple and light hearted and predictable.
I liked the art style. It was cute, especially prince Zen. The characters weren't really that developed or deep. This is a pure type romance where they just bump hands
...
and turn immensely red.
Overall the story is just light hearted and cheesy. It is a nice anime to pass the time.
