Both are about extremely strong assassins that are living in an ordinary environment. Teenage Mercenary tends to be a bit more over the top while The Fable is more realistic and methodical but both are really good.

Both MC's start at the bottom of the industry, and garner interest from someone of the same age at the top of the industry who considers them their "one true rival". Both characters rapidly improve over the series. They also have similar animation and production value, and both are very bingable series.

Both are very grounded sports stories by Taiyou Matsumoto that excellently showcase the good and bad parts of being the best or trying to reach the top. They also have similar art styles.

Harry and Brandon's relationship is similar to Guts and Griffith's. Watching both groups climb the social latter together gives a similar level of enjoyment.

Both are mature shows set in a dystopian megacity which shows the struggles and dangers of body modifications and class struggles.

Both have unique and vibrant animation styles. They also both have a majority of their episodes follow the same format (tell a story of a new character living in a weird world with it somehow minorly relating to the MC and their journey)

They are both about talented individuals trying to find their place on a new team and reach their full potential. They have a similar style, and if you enjoyed one, I'd definitely give the other a shot.
