Billy Bat
The story begins in 1949 and follows Japanese-American comic book artist Kevin Yamagata, who creates the popular talking animal detective series Billy Bat. After learning that he may have unconsciously copied the character from an image he saw while in occupied Japan, he returns there to get permission to use the character from its original creator. In Japan, he becomes embroiled in a web of murder, cover-ups, and prophecy that all leads back to the image of a bat. The truth is far larger than Kevin could ever have guessed, spanning across millennia and the world.
Pluto
Pluto follows the Europol robot detective Gesicht in his attempts to solve the case of a string of robot and human deaths around the world where all the victims have objects shoved into or positioned by their heads, imitating horns. The case becomes more puzzling when evidence suggests a robot is responsible for the murders, which would make it the first time a robot has killed a human in eight years. All seven of the great robots of the world (the most scientifically advanced which have the potential to become weapons of mass destruction) seem to be the killer's targets, and the murdered humans are connected to preserving the International Robot Laws which grant robots equal rights.
GTO
Eikichi Onizuka is a 22-year-old ex-gang member and virgin. While peeping up girls' skirts at a local shopping mall, Onizuka meets a schoolgirl who agrees to go out on a date with him. Onizuka's attempt to sleep with her fails when her current "boyfriend", her teacher, shows up at the love hotel they are in and asks her to return to him. The teacher is old and ugly, but has sufficient influence over her that she leaps from a second-story window and lands in his arms.
