They're both about a Blacksmith as the main character meeting a bunch of women and going on adventures. Seiken no Blacksmith is very similar in most regards except the story is better paced with the similar characters, and the art is better, but not dissimilar.

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai

Both are older guys looking after younger girls in a environment with a mixed cast of characters, even though Deaimon is non-romantic for the most part, it does have a similar vibe and art style, most likely because the anime were made at similar times. I personally prefer Deaimon because it has as I like to call it more 'Heart', however Aharen-san wa Hakarenai also is heartfelt in it's own way

I used to watch these together, Eightman first then Speed Racer as a kid because my mother loved to watch them when she was a kid. They were made around a similar time with similar ideas and goals in mind, just one was more successful at it. Both good quality time-capsules of what animation was like around the 60's, without being too boring or bland with some interesting angles and such.

I like both of these in a way, and I believe they are both good insights into what Japanese animation was like for the non-famous anime, back when they were made.

They both have similar vibes in my eyes, both being strongly about the sadness relationships bear. They are both deeper than they seem, and sometimes have questionable visuals, but still good.

The artist of Psychopass was a student of the main artist of ghost in the shell, it has similar themes and both are futuristic dystopias, and about the abuse of technology and how that effects the average person as well as society as a whole including crime and uncovering hidden criminal networks. They also both have impressive visuals and are renowned for their soundtracks.
