There's one thing and one thing only, "Everything is not what it seems." Though Angel Beats does already appear as not innocent (others may think different, but to me it didn't look innocent), It has a similar way to twist their stories. Angel Beats does not include much magic itself but the world itself is just magical. Nobody there is still alive, which leaves surprising ways for them to twist the storyline. Have fun watching and surfing anime/manga to anyone reading this.

When I think about similar series, I think Fruits Basket (2019). Personally I find the 1st season more similar than the 2nd one, But I adore the 2nd season as well.

If you're looking for a similar anime to watch next, Ouran Host Club should be your next stop. When I think of other animes similar to After School Dice Club, of course a lot pop into mind, but one specific one I think falls under the category of being similar the most is Ouran Host Club. Both protagonists are Soft-Spoken and have no friends at the beginning, But then gradually begin to have more fun and become friends with others as the series goes on. Both series revolve around a club (though After School Dice Club is a soon-to-be club), But there is one difference. After School Dice Club is a club that really has only girls, However the Host Club is boy-filled and Haruhi, our protagonist, is the only female member. I think if you really enjoyed After School Dice Club and want something similar, Ouran Host Club is something to put in mind.
