These two OAV is a resume of the 20 episode TV series of the same name so it tells in a very straight forward way all trhe story.
THe story is about a girl who is found with amnesia by Randy who as a child takes care of her giving her the name of Judy becoming lovers as time goes by.
The story then resumes with both of them as teenagers in Switzerland on the years previous to World War II.
In the begining we first meet the arrogant Count Gourmont who forcefully tries to make Judy his lover first locking her on his castle and later pursuing

A vary generic detective anime series, this doesn't mean it's a bad series it just isn't in the same level as more prolific and popular series like Meitantei Conan.
The story has its highlights sometimes mainly when explaining the mysteries of the crimes. But what gets down pretty fast the series is that is manly made of clichés and stereotypes and abuses of them making both the story and characters not believable enough and very predictable. Taking into account this it means that there's only the character introduction and almost no development or evolution of them sticking to their stereotypes. As the mascot of Toei studios I was curious to watch this movie, as expected of anime movie based in afairy tail an from the year it was made this movie is obviously aimed to children. Like many early anime movies this one is also very influenced by early Disney animation mixing comedy, songs and a morale to teh story.
The art is fine for the year it was made but not the best compared to some of its contemporaries, the music nothing memorable but it does it's job represnting the situations and characters in a musical movie style. The story mostly follows the main plot of ...

As a old and long time magical girl fan I can say this series isn't intended for magical girl entusiasts because in the first 3 episodes the series does the generic and clliché things in the story (sometimes imitating a lot Cardcaptor Sakura) but after that is very clear this is a series not intended for everyone but mainly for boys because it shows soft fanservice and the main focus in the story is the action and the fighting not the drama and romance someone is expecting in magical girls series.

This series honour the genre it belongs, sci-fi space opera, it covers very well the comon elements like the growth of the hero (in this case Rai or Thunderjet) the political matters in war times (in this case mixed with feudal Japan and China settings) the action in battles both with spaceships and close combat with swords and the drama implied in a war of winning and losing battles and sometimes losing the life of important or dear persons like the leaders and the love interest or friends.
The story never slows down and keeps us always interested even if it change sometimes the mood going ...

This series are entertaining, the most interesting part is making a story about a programmer and his works in a fun way.
The story is a little of suspense, a little of romance, a few of fanservice and a lot of comedy, the fun part is how he manipulates the computers be by PC or cell phone by its programming to help the people hiring him in turn but instead of asking for money for his services he asks for very rare gadgets or nerd items.
