Dirty Pair is the 80's series and concept inspiration for most of the following space heroines after them and Kiddy Grade is one that shares a lot of similarities being the adventures of a couple of agents working for an organization that solves cases or problems, ones working for the WWWA and the others for the GOTT. Both female couples have a strong bond and are very skilled complementing each other with contrasting personalities. And to spice it, both series have fan servicing elements having attractive girls in revealing outfits.

Ginga Sengoku Gunyuuden Rai

Being of the same Sci-Fi genre of space opera they share some common elements like the growth of a young boy that becomes relevant in the story as he evolves and both are in an environment of war between space reigns with all the political issues and combat action of spaceships. Sekai no Monshou (aka. Crest of the Stars) takes a more personal aproach to the story and GSY Rai (aka. Thunderjet) takes a more action and great scale approach. Both great and dramatic stories with enough character development one more serious than the other.

Similar to Suzuka is Ai Yori Aoshi, a shounen romance drama with the same generic elements like evry kind of girl that is in the series, the only difference is in the female lead in Suzuka an active, athletic and hot tempered girl, in Ai Yori Aoshi a domestic, caring and naive girl. But they have a common kind of story that are liked by the ones that like the genre, Suzuka is like a mixture or variation on many similar series.

Mahou no Stage Fancy Lala
|
When you watch this series you'll notice a lot of similarities besides they are of the Mahou Shoujo genre, in fact I have the idea the author of Full Moon based his own series in Fancy Lala the differences may be in the lenght of series that has more episodes to be told in Full Moon allowing more in depth development, and in Fancy Lala the story isn't ominous like Full Moon wo Sagashite with Mitsuki. Similarities are the protagonists thansform in a teenage version of themselves, they get their magic transformation from a pair of magical mascots, and both become famous and popular idols.
