Yeah..I think for everyone it's safe to say we were all blinded by what seemed to be a new take on romance with beautiful animation. When the first episode came out I was definitely fooled..
Excited to see a couple that was actually together for the entirety of the show and this gender role switch was kinda interesting but..it got old very quickly..
The clichés were practically unbearable and when it came to the plot...
To sum it up, nothing ever happened..
Sure it was cute and the characters were bearable give or take, but if that's all there was going for it.. yeah after three or four episodes...got

I'm not sure if it's because I went into this show with such high expectations or if I'm unfairly comparing it to my bias of Toradora but this was so disappointing..
I actually watched Golden Time about a year ago and just now randomly decided to write a review. There's not many shows I have a burning hate passion for, but this is definitely one of them. And even after a year the hate fire is still strong.. I felt no enjoyable chemistry between the main pair and they felt like such sloppy characters.
