I'm pretty used to have a show or a movie based around a game, and they usually turn out pretty shit. This, however, is on another level. A lot of people praise it for it's amazing animation and action, however that's only a part of what makes an anime good.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is set in a dystopian futuristic world, where you can't even trust yourself. Everything is always about money, and even your dishwasher runs on like 5 dollars a minute or something.

This anime revolves around a poor kid, who lives in what looks-to-be a very poor neighborhood. His mother works her ass off in order ... to support his studies. Not suprisingly, he gets bullied for being an outcast andddd... watch it to learn the rest. David, the poor kid, is shown to be careless for himself, which is in complete opposition to what this world is meant to be, and who you're meant to be. He lives for other people's dreams, including a promise to take our female protagonist to the moon.

This anime contains 18+ content in the form of trash talk, nudity, dirty jokes, and short instances of intercourse. Make no mistake, however, this actually fits right into the setting. That kind of thing is just what you'd expect from a dystopian sci-fi world.

The soundtrack is very good, and fits with the vibe that the "cruel" city gives off.

Trigger studios and related have provided us with stunning animation before, mainly outside the Earth however. Being bestowed the problem of having all the action on Earth, had Trigger show a side of them which made the anime look stunning. It wasn't too much, it wasn't too little, they made every scene an absolute banger.

As this is the last season, I will use this as an opportunity to review the whole series as a whole (however, mainly touching upon this [4th] season). Minor spoilers included.

My rating of the entire series has to be 7, since for what it's worth this is a good anime. The first season had us interested in what kind of world our protagonist was brought into and the kind of relationships he'd have with the rest of the characters. From then on, however, for me it was all downhill. This anime (keep in mind that I'm mainly refering to the second and third seasons here) ... was an ecchi wannabe harem isekai. For me it was quite annoying that the MC kept on cheating on lemon-chan and ACTUALLY GETTING AWAY WITH IT.

In any case, in the last season the male MC finally was hit in the head or something, however it got better. Even though he still did some of his previous wrong-doings, it was noticeably less. In this season the romance aspect between our two MCs finally bloomed. Hinderance was still there, and I was hoping every next episode won't just turn the 4th season to it's predecesors, but it (mostly) didn't. Here we finally see the female MC open up her cute side. The end of the anime definitely pushed me to rate this season a 9. Truly a wonderful way to end it, in my opinion.

There are a lot of mixed feelings for this show for what I've read, but here's my take on it.

Is this show just a big advert with a giant boob girl? Yeah. Do I enjoy it? Yeah. Here's why:

-This show in reality has a pretty repetitive plot, however it's only 12 episodes long, so in that aspect it's not as bad as some viewers make it out to be, since lots of other anime have gotten away with it for hundreds of episodes. Every new episode usually would introduce a couple of snacks/candy, and doing stuff with them. The good part is, although the core ... of nearly every episode is the same, it's so short that every new installment has a new creative way to use the candies and tell it's story. In the long term such an anime can't last, but remember, it's so short that it doesn't matter.

-This anime lives up to it's "romantic subtext" theme by not having full-on romance moments, but definitely not missing out on making romance-based, or sexual jokes. At first you might think that this is ecchi, however make no mistake dear reader, it isn't. If you're looking for something 100% pure, this won't work for you, as there are some pervy moments in here, like any good old anime would.

-For Japanese people this isn't anything of significance, in fact they'd most likely write off this show as boring and unwanted. However, we're foreigners. We, humans, usually love and find new things exciting. That's why this series is mostly entertaining throughout the whole season. It does a good job at keeping you watching.

This anime is how to execute a repetitive plot in a good way. Can't watch anything like this again ngl, will get bored

Loved the anime. This anime was the first anime that has ever made me start crying. Maybe it's because I'm an emotionally weak person, but the ending was definitely enough to make me cry. I'd really love if this anime could get an OVA episode, or something like that..

This anime is one of those animes that will make you feel like shit the last few episodes, something that only Domestic na Kanojo and Kuzu no Honkai can also reach. If you're after anime that makes you feel like that (me), this is probably one of those perfect animes.
The romance is definitely not cliché like most ... other animes, because the story is so much more different than your traditional anime. If you're out there for a new romantic anime, that is very different from most others - this is for you.

Some animes aren't supposed to make you feel well. Some animes are just there to ruin your day, but I'm not saying they are bad animes. This anime made me feel like crap, it was so hard watching it - but don't consider it a bad thing. It's supposed to make you feel like crap.

(Next line is a big SPOILER for the manga) Because of my post-anime depression tendencies I decided that I'd look up if they actually got together in the manga, and turns out they did (END OF SPOILER).

This anime felt both so close and so distant from Toradora. The fact that it ... has a similar plot makes them feel close, but just the way this exact anime handles the situation is so out of imagination for a person like me, who previously enjoyed wholesome romance animes. Guess I've discovered this new genre, and I'm loving it.

I know I'm writing for this season specifically, but the whole series is just a favourite of mine. It's really hard to find cute and wholesome anime like this. Especially in this season (and it's sequel) pursue the same vibe that Tonikaku Kawaii and Momokuri give. The two of those are favourites of mine, so naturally I loved this anime. At first (watching the first season), I thought it's just one of those "will they, will they not" animes, but since it had a sequel with them being together - it all ties in perfectly. That's why I consider this to be a perfect anime ... of the genre it is in.

If you're looking for a wholesome and cute anime, in which the protagonists are together from the start - this is exactly for you.

I've seen people say this anime is good and all, how cute it is and etc. For some reason I'm the only one who finds it annoying, when I myself love romantic animes. I can't believe this anime has an 8+ rating, but people are bound to their own opinion. Today I honestly tried to watch more of this anime (quit watching it 2 weeks ago), but not even 2 episodes in I'm dropping it for the second time. For some reason this is the only romantic anime in existence that I find bad, because of just how much nothing happends.

What a shame this was 15 years ago, huh, if you tried looking for anime like this a couple of years ago you wouldn't have found any. For the time when it was released, this was probably a very unique anime. The art definitely isn't good, but for it's time it's very much watchable. Today, they don't really make these kind of animes, with obvious exceptions like Tonikaku Kawaii and I shaved. Then I brought a runaway home.

The only thing I wouldn't really like about this anime (plus the third one I mentioned), is that unlike Tonikaku Kawaii, they aren't dating while living in the ... same space. I think they should do a season 2 or a whole redo of the series in a modern way. Much better art, sounds, etc. If they were indeed to make a season 2, they should make it to be something like Tonikawa. A couple living their life together.

Many people will disagree with my low rating, but the fact is - when you watch too much of an anime (this anime has 93 episodes, and still has an XYZ season after it) it becomes it really boring, especially when there's a formula to an episode. I remember dropping on this anime at about episode 60, then a few months ago I went so far as to watch the XYZ version. The reason for all of this is because every episode, while they do something new, team rocket comes and annoys the hell out of them, then they get their Pokemon back, beat the ... hell out of them, and finally - continue whatever they were gonna do. It gets really repetitive as episodes go by. That's the reason behind my low rating on the show, even though when I was first watching it I thought it was amazing. You can't deny the great animation and sound, which carries the anime to 4. Without them I wouldn't have it at more than 2, or at most - 3.
