Wow. All I can say is wow. This is the ONLY anime that has ever made me feel bad for loving. It really messed with my morality and emotions. When I say this is the darkest show I've ever seen, it's an understatement. This show is a depiction of hellfire and brimstone. And its amazing. But it isn't for everybody. If you don't like dark shows, turn away now. Because this is the darkest chocolate you're ever gonna get.
This show has gone from number 6 on my list, to number 3, to being COMPLETELY off my list (because I felt bad for loving it. Has
...
a show ever made you feel bad for loving it? This one did.) to being back at number 6 again. And who knows where it will be on my list in the future. It's staying in he top 10s for good this time. I just had to remind myself that this is a work of fiction, and that there's nothing wrong with me for enjoying it. Yes, it seriously fucked with me on a psychological level. That's how good this show is.
I'm going to keep this short and sweet, as it is 2:22 AM and I need some sleep. Everything was a 10, except for the art, which I gave an 8. It's amazing, I'll say! But if you want to see some beautiful animation, watch Mob Psycho 100 or something. Anyway, this anime kicks ass all around the board. You'll love it, you'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll be pissed. Expect lots of emotion. Expect fear and dread. But most of all, expect to be entertained! Good luck! :-D

I had heard so many praises for Made In Abyss that I just had to check it out. When I searched it, however, I didn't think it looked like anything special. Firstly, "the children as main characters" concept wasn't my favorite. Secondly, the way the children (Riko and Reg) are drawn, I assumed that this was some child-like anime that didn't cover any deep or meaningful themes. I was dead wrong.
I'm very glad that I decided to give it a shot. This is truly a masterpiece of an anime. It was shock you, it will mystify you, and it will make you laugh! Yes, there
...
are a lot of feel good moments. But also be warned that you will cry. This is also currently one of the darkest anime I've ever seen, second only to Berserk 1997 (for obvious reasons). But yes, don't expect everything to be a ray of sunshine. If you like a dark anime, this is for you! If you don't, this is still for you, trust me! This will appeal to everybody.
Since I gave a 10 to everything across the board, I don't think I need to say much about them. The story is unique and incredible, reminding me a LOT of Hunter x Hunter, one of the greatest anime of all time. The art is also quite beautiful, and the art style is also nice! The soundtrack is one of the absolute best parts of the show. It fits in perfectly. You will fall in love with each and every character. You will enjoy the hell out of every episode. What more can I say!? Just sit down and watch it already!

Parasyte is another big name anime that a lot of anime fans have heard of. It's a very unique story about evolution, co-existing, and is a bit philosophical. Let's just jump straight into this long-overdue review!
Story: 9
The story is very unique like I mentioned, and it is really cool! There are some really cool concepts, and I can't think of any plot holes. They definitely do a great job walking you through the story, and they also leave some things a mystery, but I like that. Essentially, the main character Shinichi has to cope with the fact that there's a parasite / alien in his
...
hand, which lead to some really unique character development.
Art: 9
The art style is really nice and the animation looked good, too. However, it should be no surprise that I've seen better! Anyway, I give the art a 9, and I don't have much to say about it other than it looks nice, and fits with the story.
Sound: 10
Yes, yes, YES!!! In my opinion, the soundtrack is the best part of this anime. It has one of my favorite soundtracks in any anime, really. It's really interesting, and may be surprising, that a lot / most of the soundtrack is dubstep / techno. But keep in mind that it's very good quality! The soundtrack really makes the fight scenes a LOT cooler! I like how there are also themes that are quirky and comical. I think that really adds to the anime, too. I really can't explain the soundtrack. You just have to give it a listen yourself! There are even quite a few emotional pieces. I recall there also being a famous classical piece in the anime, which I found was a good touch, as long as it's not overused (it wasn't)!
Character: 9
Shinichi Izumi and Migi are arguably the best characters in the show. There are some pretty awesome villains, too, but keep in mind that there arcs are quite short unfortunately! But even though the anime is quite short, there was quite a lot of character development for not only our lovable main characters, but also the villains, too. The side characters were also pretty good. You may feel quite sad for some of the characters in this anime, too, which is really good!
Enjoyment: 9
This is a very fun anime that is REALLY damn funny. There were moments that caused me to laugh my ass off. In addition, with all of the great fight scenes, Parasyte proves to be difficult not to love. It's definitely a great anime that is worth your while to check out!
Overall: 9
9 is a really good score! It just didn't quite get to the point where I would consider it a 10, but that's okay! I can't just give out 10s to EVERY anime that I love. It just wouldn't make sense. I feel like a lot of people give this anime a 9, and I honestly feel like that's what it deserves. So, Parasyte, thanks for being awesome!

First of all let me say that this anime is rated so highly on this website for a good reason! I truly think that this anime is a masterpiece, and here is why!
Story: 10
This is, in my opinion, one of the most consistent time travel stories that I've ever seen. How does one write a time travel story without having any plot holes, without being confusing, and overall entertaining and creative? Well, I personally wouldn't know where to begin, but Steins;Gate took a very creative approach. The authors based the story off of a real person who called themselves "John Titor" and claimed to be
...
a time traveler from the year 2036. He posted on several forums about his time traveling experiences, and they were actually pretty convincing, or, at the very least, very thought out and clever. So the concept of time travel in Steins;Gate is based on "world lines" and hoping from one to the next. It'll walk you through it in a way that you'll understand. Don't worry. If you aren't a very scientific person, however, it may prove to be quite confusing! Also, side note, a lot of people find the anime hard to get into. I didn't, but things will start to get REALLY serious only halfway through, so just keep that in mind!
Art: 10
I give the art a 10. It is very pretty to look at, the style is quite nice, and the character designs are great! I really don't have much to say about the art, except the eyes looked a bit strange at first until I got used to them. There's a ring in the iris that looked a bit strange, but eventually liked them quite a lot. Oh, and the art in the opening, especially at the beginning, is so quirky and badass.
Sound: 10
The opening is phenomenal, and so is the outro. The soundtrack is overall a really nice addition to the anime. There is also something that a lot of anime don't do. They often have an ambient sound of cicadas or some insect in the background that sounds really pretty, and never get annoying. A lot of the OST sounds very sci-fi, so it fits the theme of the show very nicely. Also, the dub sounds really nice, and the sub sounds good, too!
Character: 10
This is probably the best aspect of this anime. The characters are very lovable, and are also really funny. There will be moments that will (probably) make you cry or at least want to cry, because you really feel bad for a lot of things that happen to them. Rintarou Okabe, the main character, is definitely one of my favorite anime characters. He's an 18 year old mad scientist, who does a lot of quirky things and has created his own terms for different things that are actually quite meaningless! For example, "Steins Gate" and "El Psy Congroo!" You'll love how quirky the guy is, and a lot of things he does will really touch you. He also even has his own "hostage." Seriously, you'll love the guy, but I could go on and on about how good the other characters are! You just have to watch it to understand. I also love how there isn't really many villains, but the few there are are great! In addition, the plot even serves as a villain in a way!
Enjoyment: 10
Of course, with a 10 in all of the other categories, I have to give the enjoyment factor a 10 as well. Because I really did absolutely love it. I kept waiting for the next episode, and the next, wondering what was going to happen. There are quite a bit of cliff hangers that makes the anime even more addictive. There's a reason why this anime is on my top 10 list. My advice would be just to watch the show without expecting too much in terms of seriousness. And when the serious stuff does happen, you'll be caught off guard, and that's good.
Overall: 10
This show is an emotional rollercoaster. Now, it isn't going to invoke the same feelings as an anime like Feelsmetal Alchemist Brotherhood or anything, but it will definitely hit you in the feels. You will also find yourself laughing your ass off at a lot of the jokes, because they really are funny. There are a lot of adult jokes in the show, which also shows that this is an anime more for mature audiences. Overall, make this anime a priority to watch. Because again, this is a big name anime that a lot of people know about. And again, all for a good reason. I wish I could turn back time and watch it again for the first time...

Yu-Gi-Oh GX, how I love you so! I don't know why this is one of the most hated Yu-Gi-Oh series, because in my opinion, it's the best! I'm not quite sure why, but perhaps it's my nostalgia for it. Of course, the original Yu-Gi-Oh is a VERY close second to this for me, but for some reason this kind of just takes the cake. Let me give this a quick review.
Story: 6
It's Yu-Gi-Oh. Don't expect a deep plot obviously, because there won't be one. It's about people playing a children's card game for fun and to be the best, but there are also a lot
...
of villains that appear that have the power to steal souls! It's not bad, but it's silly, don't you think? That's why I give the story a 6, which is fair. But surprisingly, there actually are some pretty damn deep moments within the anime, some of which could maybe even make me cry!
Art: 8
The art is very nice to look at. There are some continuity errors at times with the wrong card being displayed on the duel disk, but nobody really cares about that, anyway, right? Regardless, the art style is nice but it's nothing groundbreaking.
Sound: 9
The OST is actually really good! The intro is really catchy, and a lot of the music that plays in really serious and dark moments is VERY creepy and cool! It definitely really adds to the theme of the show!
Character: 9
Probably Yu-Gi-Oh GX's best trait are the characters. It has a very lovable main character with many lovable side characters, and some really cool and interesting villains! I think that the characters are the reason why I prefer this to the original. I just think that they were a bit better for some reason.
Enjoyment: 9
I'll always keep coming back to this anime and watching some of the epic duels. The show can be hilarious at times, and overall it's just a lot of fun to watch! Maybe not so much if you didn't grow up watching it though. If you watched the original Yu-Gi-Oh as a child and didn't watch this, and you tried watching this, you probably wouldn't like it at all, because it's quite a lot different and more light-hearted.
Overall: 9
This isn't a deep psychological anime or anything, and it does have quite a few continuity errors, but those can be ignored. For example, a lot of the card effects differ from how they work in real life, along with some of the game mechanics. Also, there are some instances when Jaden only uses a card once or twice, and then it's never seen from again. It makes you wonder where it went! But yeah, definitely watch it if you love the Yu-Gi-Oh series in general, because you're missing out if you skipped over this. Seriously, it's great. Quirky, funny, cool, and overall just a great anime!

This is a review for both Season 1 and Season 2 of Attack on Titan, as I give both of them 10s across the board.
Let me first start by saying that I was very hesitant to watch AoT because of all of the mixed reviews it has. I've heard AoT be praised, and I've heard it be trashed. But fortunately, I can confidently say that it is such an incredible anime, and ANY anime fan should watch it as soon as possible!
Story: 10
For some reason, I've heard people say that AoT doesn't have a plot, but that is silly to say! That would be like
...
watching a zombie movie and stating that the movie didn't have a plot. The whole point of AoT is to discover more about the titans, and, more importantly, eliminate all of the titans so that humans can live peacefully outside of the walls again. The plot is actually quite deep and heartfelt, and without spoiling anything, the supernatural twist in this anime is VERY creative and definitely surprised me.
Art: 10
The art style and overall animation in this anime is godly. This is probably the second best animation / art style of any anime I've seen, only being surpassed by One Punch Man for me. But this anime is so beautiful to look at because of the vibrant colors. Also, the titans look quite terrifying! The art definitely adds a LOT to the anime.
Sound: 10
Again, a masterpiece. The intros and outros are extremely catchy, and the overall soundtrack is beautiful, creepy, and unique. It definitely captures the scene of the moment effectively, and definitely makes you FEEL something. That definitely isn't an easy thing to do, but unsurprisingly, AoT nails it!
Character: 10
Okay... Here's where things really get real. The characters in this anime are so damn good. I'll mention a few of them, but won't reveal much about them because of spoilers. But trust me, a lot of the characters have heart-felt backstories, and they are all really easy to love. Also, the villains are really unique and interesting, since there is no specific or particular one.
Eren: Our main character that has a burning passion to kill titans, and to see all of the beautiful things that he has heard about outside of the walls. After all, it IS humanity's birthright. Decided long ago that he wanted to join the military.
Armin: Eren's best friend. An intelligent, passionate character who is always looking to protect the ones he loves.
Mikasa: Eren's adopted sister / best friend. A badass female lead who really knows how to get things done. Like Armin, she vows to always be by Eren's side.
Levi: Arguably the best and most badass character in AoT. He is a total neat freak and loves cleanliness, but doesn't play around when it comes to titans. Humanity's greatest soldier. You won't see much of him until later, but just keep this in mind.
Enjoyment: 10
All of these things combine to create the beautiful masterpiece known as Attack on Titan. There are very exciting and surprising moments that will put you on the edge of your seat. The pacing is great, and there aren't any boring moments. This is just one of those anime that you will want to binge watch because of how good it is, and also because it has quite a few cliffhangers.
Overall: 10
Of course I have to give this anime a solid 10. It's one of my favorite anime, after all. I think that there are some anime that are better, but this is still a masterpiece. I absolutely can't wait for Season 3. A lot has happened and I hope that the anime will have an excellent conclusion and the one that it deserves. Watch it. Ignore the haters that say that this anime is overrated, because in my opinion, it isn't. But you be the judge.

All right, let's make this quick. This is considered to be the worst anime of all time.
Story: 1
The story doesn't even make sense. Also there's a poor excuse of a plot twist, especially since we don't even understand the plot to begin with!
Art: 3
I'm sure there's worse. At least they tried I guess.
...
Sound: 2
The soundtrack is Beethoven, and obviously Beethoven's music is a masterpiece. However, it doesn't fit with the show at all, and it's totally not original nor appropriate to use. And the voice acting is garbage. "Takeru!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Character: 1
I've never seen more 1-D characters. And I've seen parody anime.
Enjoyment: 5
The only good thing is the fact that's it's hilarious.
Overall: 2
There's worse. I'm sure. For example, an anime that's this bad AND long. That would get a 1. The good thing is the anime is only 17 minutes. Also, go watch the review of Mars of Destruction on YouTube by DXFan619. It's hilarious. I laughed so hard at it.

First of all I can definitely see why it's a lot of people's favorite anime. There's a reason why it's ranked so high. It also has some of the deepest feels in anime history. It's a different kind of feel than the psychological things that darker anime can throw at you. It's a simpler kind of feel. Although this show is about alchemy, it's very relatable. This show will make you want to hug your parents and siblings. This show just gives you raw emotion. There's nothing really to think about. Everybody knows what it's like to lose something that they love.
Story: 10
Our amazing main
...
character, Edward Elric, loses his left leg when trying to perform human transmutation to resurrect his mother. His brother's body disappears completely, so Ed sacrifices his right arm to bind his brother's soul to a suit of armor, making him a golem. His brother can't enjoy the simple things of life like eating. So they both go on an adventure to get their bodies back. I wanted to phrase the plot of the show in my own way, because I just want to emphasize how deep this show actually is. It will most likely make you cry. They really couldn't have made the story any better. So much thought and emotion was thrown into this anime. This anime is also the perfect length.
Art: 10
Very pretty animation. Definitely deserves a 10. I HAVE seen better, but that doesn't mean that this animation style and quality deserve anything less than a 10. I can only say good things about it.
Sound: 10
Going off of the feels of the overwhelmingly deep plot, we have the haunting chorus from "Lapis Philosophorum" and all of its forms. Also, this anime has 5 intros and outros, and THEY ARE ALL GOOD! It's really rare for that to happen. This soundtrack is perfect. Just as much time went into it as with everything else. That is apparent.
Character: 10
Okay, as good as EVERYTHING about this anime is, this is probably the best part. The characters are incredible. All of them. They are all deep and all have fantastic backstories. If they don't make you cry, I don't know what will. The main villain is really cool, too. Definitely in my top 10 villain list. I can't say ANYTHING bad about them, and I don't want to say any spoilers. So I think that I'll leave it at that. Also, there are some biblical references in some of the characters, which is interesting whether one is religious or not.
Enjoyment: 10
What's not to enjoy about this anime? I was so sad when it ended. I'm usually really critical about things, and I would critique it if I could. The ONLY thing I could nitpick is one thing during the end, and that's how a couple of our main characters handled a particular death, but I'm not going to spoil anything. But that's it, and that's me really looking for something to complain about.
Over: 10
Obviously I'm going to give this a 10. There are 10s across the board. I'm going to have to rewatch this anime with my dad, since he likes the anime that I show him. Anyway, this anime will always be close to my heart.

Ahhh, DBZ, a masterpiece of an anime! I still get so much nostalgia when I watch it. I'm going to try to keep this brief, since it isn't the deepest show or anything. Also it will be spoiler free. This was also my first BIG anime. I didn't think any anime was better. I was wrong. But that doesn't mean that I don't still love it. It will always be close to my heart. It is a masterpiece, after all!
Story: 7
This is the weakest aspect of the anime, in my opinion. The story is good, sharing roots with Superman's origin story. I'm also including the
...
length of the show into this category, and it is very long. I'll go ahead and say that I haven't seen EVERY episode, but I've seen all of the major and a lot of the minor fights, and I know enough of the story to get by, obviously. Part of the problem is, deaths don't really mean anything in this show, unless it's a villain. And even then... It still doesn't mean much. Villains have a way of coming back from the dead. If a protagonist dies, they can just get wished back with the Dragon Balls. On top of all of that, there are some plot holes, confusing moments, and continuity errors, which definitely take away from the show. But it mostly has to do with the fact that it's so long. There are a lot of complicated and unnecessary transformations, too, which is also confusing.
Art: 8
The art style is nice. It has pretty colors and is nice to look at, but it isn't anything groundbreaking. The other problem is that a lot of things are looped, for example you will notice that stones flying past characters' faces are just the same stones in the same spot over and over, with the same wind effect. Smoke and dust are also too perfect. They are symmetrical. So it's a bit annoying, but it's not THAT big of a deal. This also probably has to do with the length of the show.
Sound: 10
The soundtrack is amazing, if you are looking at the dub. Bruce Faulconer did an unbelievable job with this. Also both the subs and dubs are awesome. But the Ocean Dub is hilariously bad. So don't watch that one.
Character: 10
DBZ is riddled with so many lovable characters that all the fans love. They are extremely powerful, too. The villains are also awesome. There will be some very sad moments that will make you want to cry, too. A lot of characters are exceptionally funny, too. Also, important note: The Dragon Ball Franchise has so many INCREDIBLE characters, that it's one of the few anime that I find almost impossible to pick a favorite character. Seriously, all characters are pretty much on par with each other, which I think is really neat.
Enjoyment: 10
Definitely the strongest aspect of this show. The epic fights, music, and the struggles of our favorite characters is what captivates our attention. It isn't the story. Fans can just ignore all of the things that don't really make too much sense, or are hard to understand or anything. They can just sit back and watch DBZ and have a blast. It's just something that you watch. Not something that you try to pick apart all of the psychological elements or anything.
Overall: 9.9
Originally, I had this and Super as a 9 on MAL. I change my mind. It gets a 10, even though there's quite a bit of problems with it! Firstly, it's really damn long! XD And the mistakes that ARE made in DBZ, are actually pretty comical! Somebody asked Akira Toriyama why Trunks and Goten don't have tails. His response? "Uhhh... They got them removed at birth." He totally forgot that they were supposed to have tails. XD Also, it's hilarious how Frieza says that Namek only has 5 minutes to explode, but yet Goku and Frieza fight for about 2 more hours! Anyway, it might be a bit hard to get into at first, but once you do, you'll most likely fall in love with it. Goku has even become an icon. This is also the only anime that's really long that I'll watch. I never was able to get into Naruto, One Peace, Bleach, and had never even heard of Gintama. So with anime this long, it's either a hit or a miss. And it depends on how much time you want to spend on it. Anyway, that pretty much sums up my review. DBZ in a nutshell.
Kamehameha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, here we go, One Punch Man! One of my favorite anime of all time, for many different reasons. The show isn't deep, obviously, so I'm going to keep this review short, sweet, and to the point.
Story: 8
This is a parody. It's not your deep, psychological anime that really gets into your mind and messes with it. It's about a hero for fun who is the strongest, and there is NO challenge for him! He can kill any villain in just one punch. You'd think it would get old, but... It doesn't. The anime is hilarious and the plot is very creative! And, also, believe
...
it or not, there are quite some serious moments in the anime, and it can get fairly deep.
Art: 10
Wow. Just wow. This is honestly the most beautiful animation and animation style that I have ever seen in an anime, and I've seen some awfully beautiful artwork / styles. Perfection.
Sound: 10
Has some awesome soundtracks that really get one hyped for the show, especially the intro and outro themes! Both the dub and sub are also awesome, so everything just sounds amazing.
Character: 10
Here is one of OPM's strongest areas, no pun intended. The characters. Saitama is probably my favorite superhero in fiction. He's hilarious and awesome at the same time. And all the other main characters, supporting characters, and villains are absolutely awesome. They really made me fall in love with the show fast.
Enjoyment: 10
What can I say? This is probably the funniest anime you will ever watch, and you will have a LOT of fun watching it. Obviously don't expect anything deep. You won't get that here. Just enjoy, laugh at the jokes, and enjoy the epic and comical fights!
Overall: 10
I cannot wait until Season 2. I'm sure I'm just going to like it even more once it's out. This show is fairly similar to DBZ in a sense, but it doesn't have plot-holes, continuity errors, and isn't long and drawn out. This anime is like watching the most beautiful firework show and not knowing what to say except "Oooooo... Ahhhhhh!"
