{Note: This is the sequel to the series "Gundam Build Fighters." I recommend one to watch and possibly finish that one first. Not required to understand this but will aid in doing so.}
Sunrise has released the second season of the GBF series this Winter season, Gundam Build Fighters Try! Now, my first impression was the word "Try." Was it a variation of "Tri," meaning "three?" At first that seems weird and out-of-place, but it proves to not be and it is not a variation! That only leads to the awesomeness and the mystery encased inside this anime series.
Story: 7/10
The story revolves around three students, Sekai
...
Kamiki, Fumina Hoshino, and Yuma Kousaka to go after the Gunpla Under-19 Championship, and well, be champions! Along the way, they make worthy rivals and supportive allies that trigger the plethora of sub-plots. From relationships to simple events, this anime has got a whole lot of fun and feels to it! Although that, it still earned an 8 due to the lack of originality, but that is expected. A bit fast-paced, but it's still good nevertheless.
Art: 9/10
As a model builder myself, it would not be an understatement to say that Gunpla is mostly about the quality and how it'd do in battle. The art is very nice here and shows its true nature during the intense battles and/or showcasing. In-battle effects like explosions and beams are very well-detailed and it brings the match to life really. Everything else is average. The Gunpla themselves? With new designs and a whole new world of arsenal and art, GBFT is a door to what a builder might look for!
Sound: 9/10
I can't say much for sound. The OSTs and music during battle or even during the emotional parts were perfect and blended in nicely with the atmosphere; emphasizing the aura of that moment. Made it all the more epic or sad. The 2 openings were awesome really and super catchy. ED1 was nice too. Very upbeat and nicely introduces each episode.
Character: 9/10
The cast for GBFT is a pretty big one despite our three main heroes. They come in a lot of different roles in respect to the three mains. From rivals to onlookers to mentors or even siblings, GBFt manages to get them all into the picture and get them to contribute to the plot. With a whole new spectrum of personalities and quirkiness, GBFT's cast of charas will not fail to make your day brighter at new characters coming in everytime!
Enjoyment: 9/10
Let's face it. What is Gundam? Big robot battles that fight in the midst of space! Alright so what's Gunpla? Building big robots that will then fight battles in the midst of space! Haha maybe big is an over-exaggeration here, but I do enjoy and look forward to every episode. Especially during the tournaments, one episode leaves you hanging for the next! It draws you in and keeps you wanting more!
Verdict: 9/10
GBFT started out alright and when I first saw it, I had high hopes that it'd do as well if not better than its predecessor! At the end, I am proud to say that this anime did quite well and slight surpassed (or just stayed in par) with GBF. I personally recommend this to ANY gundam/gunpla fan out there as it perfectly incorporates the kind of people you meet in any world of a hobby. You have the nice ones, the rivals, and the ones who need more learning! GBFT is the highlight of this season and I look forward to a third season!

What is it like after death, or as we call it, the afterlife? People have been awestruck and dumbfounded by this question; a truly interesting inquiry that sparks interest and mystifying theories. "Death Parade" is Madhouse's perspective as to what happens after and how humans meet their fate. The afterlife is a sensitive subject to touch upon, but Madhouse was able to use that concept and create this anime series based on the ideas of arbiters and judgment. Of course, one would expect this show to be a mere series of judgements, but it's much deeper than that. Death Parade was able to create a
...
kaleidoscope of memories from the various people and exert a beautiful story. Despite its dark name, this show has something up its sleeve that you will not expect!
This show actually originated from the half-hour short called "Death Billiards." That small OVA was successful enough to run this anime series, which is pretty amazing! The anime series lasts for 12 episodes, which is one cour, though I hope to see further development later on if successful.
Story: 9/10
From episodes 1 - 9, every single episode is someone and something new. Each time, there'd be a couple that would be judged based on their life and to see whether they will go to heaven or go to hell. Of course, this is accompanied by the various games rolled in the roulette, which makes everything super interesting! Each episode also unveils something new about the show, which is definitely something to look out for because from episodes 9-12, the show really starts.
The pacing is quite slow, but instead of being a drag, I think it makes the show better overall! It allows for tremendous character build-up and allows the audience to explore the different memories of those being judged as well as the characters that stay throughout the show. At first, you might find yourself questioning with what is the point of all these random couple judgment coming through, but Death Parade really shows its true colors in the later episodes. It collects all the previous episodes and creates something new to make you gape in awe. Its beginning and ending is superb and the storyline itself makes sense in the end!
Art: 9/10
At a first glance, the art seems average or simply normal. That maybe true for the first few episodes, but as the show progresses, you'll come to realize that the art factor here is pretty above average if not really well done. Every detail from the smallest wrinkle to the animation of the explosions and sweat of the anticipating moment is detailed so perfectly that you feel that you're part of it too! The environment's atmosphere was able to change according to context, and the artwork definitely helps. From sad moments to intense games, the art does not disappoint you here!
Sound: 8/10
First and foremost, I'd like to apologize for my hasty "judgment" for the soundtrack of DP; I am at fault, so here's what I honestly think after finishing this show: I think that it really does fit with it. The OSTs in the games were pretty loud and gives a suspenseful life-or-death atmosphere and the OSTs in the more sadder moments do move my heart. It does contribute a whole awful lot. At first, the OP made no sense to me due to its happy and exuberant tune, but now it does: Death Parade is not aiming for a dark future to all whether heaven or hell; it aims to create fulfillment and to send you off with no regrets. I believe this is why the OP is happy and joyful. It is also very catchy.
Character: 9/10
The small cast that stays consistent throughout the show as well as the myriad of people coming through for a judgment is one of the main foundations of this anime series. First, the people who come for judgments (victims if you will for typing's sake) come with a variety of backstories and problems, regrets, and unhappiness. Even if they had lived a happy life, the game played with Decim and KnO bring out their true feelings. This creates the diverse aspect of DP; showing how different people get judged and where they go. This really reflects the society we live in.
However, the main cast is small, consisting of around 5 people. (depending on how you look at it.) The slow pacing of the anime allows the characters to take shape and form; it does not rush them and potentially flaw them. Their depth and their personalities synergize so well with each other that the intense moments of DP was super suspenseful and very cliff-hanger-like. Sometimes, they'll do stuff that makes us question why, but that really what makes DP such a unique anime.
Enjoyment: 9/10
I typically look forward to the anime series each week; waiting to see what'd happen next. I admit that at first I was getting tired of the series, wondering what will happen or what was the point. However, please do not give up dear readers! DP is an anime who blooms late, and it blooms quite grandly too! The last few episodes truly gave this anime colors and I was unable to wait for the next episode after that! Everytime I watch it, I always give it a positive outlook. At first I thought I was wrong and should drop it, but I began to enjoy it more after pay more closer attention to the main plot being constructed before its unveiling.
Overall: 9/10
Death Parade makes me think of a linear group of people walking around, bringing death to all those around. However, DP disproves that. The fusion of the mystery of the afterlife as well as the memories of the living creates a series that will succeed in showing you the diversity and stories of the dead and the true meaning of life. One thing I have to highlight is its ending. It is by far one of the most excellent endings I've ever seen. I am looking forward to a continuation of this anime if not some similar works by Madhouse. Thank you!
I personally recommend this series to everyone. Despite the name, it does hold any major, graphic scenes, but there are some scenes of gore and blood. (mild to medium) I specifically recommend this to watchers of a comedic-but-dark series as well as those who love a slow-paced anime.

This season. Diomedea decided to come up with what I think was one of the Winter Season's most hilarious anime series that came this year. What I've been seeing for these "uncommon" shows is that due to their "weird" or "parody-like" concept (this is a mahou shounnen derived from the common genre of mahou shoujou) they are usually underrated or just looked down upon! Well, Binan Love isn't exactly the best in terms of ratings, but they aren't bad!
Story: 7/10
The story revolves around "5 unlikely heroes" who are 5 boys who had met in the Binan High School by chance when a Wombat came
...
and literally gave them magical powers. Pretty rushed beginning and had me confused for a sec. Then, the plot continued for the next 10 episodes with not much development in respect to the fact that they fight against the opposing force through other people! Well, it's not original really. However, the fact that it had these unique factors makes it super hilarious from their talks of food to love! I am hinting at a subtle yaoi factor here. Pacing was pretty slow, but it made this a relaxing anime to watch.
Art: 6/10
Gahh. Binan Love's art is pretty mediocre. Nothing too special about it. The costume designs were pretty normal (in regards as to how frilly you can make a costume for a male) and the explosions and attacks... pretty average if not sub-par. Other than that, it was alright. Nothing that stands out a lot.
Sound: 8/10
Binan Love's sound throughout the episodes was average. They were all in the right places and made the mood much more enjoyable or scary, or really made it pretty realistic! Sound effects and background music are alright. I particularly liked the OP. It was just appropriate for it and super catchy, so that's a plus for Binan Love!
Character: 6/10
It would not be an exaggeration to say that this anime is a mirror of other magical girl animes. For some reason, there is always 5 in the protagonist's troupe of fighters and they all have personalities that in a way differ from one another's but in the same time syngerize well to make conflicts, only to reconcile over them and be better friends! The villains lack the villainous aspect as well, in the end really just a bunch of students wanting power.
Enjoyment: 8/10
I cannot lie that I particularly liked how the anime started. It was a new experience for me to see an all-out boys' magical anime and pretty hilarious at that. After a a few episodes of fights and normalcy, I got bored and considered dropping it. It does seem lacking at times, but I did not and watched it until the end. It was alright. Average. Got a lot of laughs though!
Verdict: 7/10
It's not the worst anime of the season, but it does not stand out too much either. It has the potential to be a better anime should Diomedea had put more plot development and more depth to the characters. I speculate a season 2 might come out. It has the vibe that the Battle Lovers' Fight is not over! Am I looking forward to it? Not particularly hyped, but definitely welcoming to it!
I recommend this anime to those who want an all-boys anime/RComedy/SoL/just watch a genderbent version of Madoka Magica. It's not all that bad, so give it a try! Love out!

A group of knights have overthrown the kingdom and started an uproar, dubbed as the "Seven Deadly Sins." Soon, they all suddenly disappeared and the people rejoiced over their supposed defeat. Ten years later, the kingdom is overflowing with pride, yet a hidden darkness lies within as a girl comes up to a bar...
"Nanatsu no Taizai" or "The Seven Deadly Sins" is a recent anime released by A-1 Pictures that illustrate the adventures of a certain group against a kingdom deemed corrupt. That's basically it in a nutshell, so here is my review of this series!
Story: 8/10
The story basically follows a young girl named
...
"Elizabeth" who seeks out to search the Deadly Sins for a certain purpose. And from then on it's load of adventures and especially action in forms of duels, battles, etc. Very simple plot line with add-on gags of humour and feels trip. Subplots don't tend to overtake it. The story is enjoyable and easy to follow.
Art: 7/10
To be terribly honest, the cover art did not appeal to me at first glance. It seemed quite outdated and doesn't fit the name. However, it all changes when I watched the first episode. The art is like that to fit the setting (which is good) and the action scenes were epic and simple. Perfect amount of flash and bash and detailed frames. Not the best, but beautiful nevertheless.
Sound: 7/10
Sound is not a dominant part of The Seven Deadly Sins as its OSTs are quite adequate and don't stand out too much. However, I do take a BIG liking to the opening "Netsujou no Spectrum" since it fits it really perfectly, as well as the ED "7 -seven" by FLOW X GRANRODEO. OP and Ed fit and I hope it'll stay that way. I wish for more prismatic OSTs though.
Character: 10/10
From an anime called the Seven Deadly Sins, you'd expect the lead to be some dark angel and the cast to be dark demons with a hint of goth and black. Nanatsu no Taizai does not follow this thought but the characters are the most amazing I've ever seen in an anime of the sorts. The cast is not very big, but the development of backstories is amazing, adding depth. Designs and personalities are very well done!
Enjoyment: 9/10
I particularly look forward to every episode because every episode's end always has some cliffhanger of sorts that prompts you to watch the next one. Each episode is unpredictable as the balance of action and humour isn't obvious. Still, every episode is unique and has their own flair.
Overall: 8/10
This anime is something I've been waiting for since last season. Despite being disappointed by the preview cover art, it was quickly reversed as I watched it more. I recommend this anime to the general crowd as well as those who enjoy reading the manga (Yes it has a manga!) and people who enjoy action/adventure. I hope you enjoy it!

Coming right from Cygames is the finally released "Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis" or as it is known in the card game rpg world, "Rage of Bahamut."
To give a little background info, "Rage of Bahamut" is a card game that is produced by Cygames that this anime series is based off. I will dive further into the anime being based off the card game, but the rpg game isn't too bad. Check it out if you have the time!
Anyways, a story of a young man helping a girl get to someplace and fight off enemies on the way there. That's the series in a nutshell and
...
I'd say it sounds pretty generic or general for anime now, but here are my thoughts on it.
Story: 8/10
The storyline is quite simple, which allows for more wiggle room for action and humour and lots of other add-ons to make it interesting. Like I said, it's an adventure of getting someone from one place to another because of some wish the person wants. Pretty normal, but one things SnB really excels at is progress. It does not lag behind for the sake of superfluous action or forced comedy and it progresses very well.
Art: 7/10
Hmm. From a card game, I would expect a lot for art and I do have to say that from the first 2 episodes I was not very impressed by the artwork. However, it does progressively get better as they reveal more characters. The human character designs are quite normal and do not interest me much, but SnB does a fine job in detailing the demons and angels' designs. Very nice touch.
Sound: 9/10
SnB does an excellent job in sound! The opening "Existence" is very metal and rock which just resonates how this anime is an action/adventure! What really draws me in is the OSTs in battle. Now this is one of the epitomes of SnB. Very nice OSTs that compliment the battle scenes and action scenes.
Character: 8/10
Original is not a word I would use, yet they are unique! Their designs are okay in terms of unoriginality, but their traits are what enhances them the most! Very dynamic characters and very big cast full of interesting creatures! Yes, there are angels, dragons, demons, dragoons, zombies, and many others that may sound staple, but there are qualities that make them undeniably great.
Enjoyment: 9/10
The first 2 episodes made me question my interest, but after the 4/5th, I was happy to say that i liked it and I will continue watching it. Every episode has its own uniqueness to it, so it does not just copy one episode or just recap everything.
Parallel to Game
This is where I want to point out my opinion. RoB and SnB is in the medieval times of 3 realms, humans, gods, and demons! However, I was not expecting a somewhat new cast and even a different "mechanism." I was hoping for some mechanisms (like Holy Wars/Evolution/Castle Crushers) to be incorporated formally. Nevertheless, the anime was not disappointing and is still well done!
Overall: Very nice anime with a sluggish start. The episodes get better and the most recent episode (episode 7) was just amazing and I would say the apex of the last 7 episodes. I recommend this to people who play Rage of Bahamut (free to play in the App Store!) or people who enjoy watching action/adventure/thrillers as well as rpg-players since the setting is really rpg-like! 8/10 in total! Give SnB some more love guys! :D

Coming back with the all-new Pendulum monsters and a plot line, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V is the newest anime series featuring the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game. Much like ZEXAL, this follows a kid named Yuya who strives to be the best duelist in a SoL/Comedy/Adventure setting. Though difficulties and obstacles persist, let's see what makes Arc-V an anime that resonates in Yu-Gi-Oh! fans new and old. [Warning: Minor Spoilers]
Story: 8/10
It's quite a clichéd story as Yuya and his friends strive to be the best at a tournament by proving themselves as the best through duels. Then we have the villains who are basically soon-to-be-friends as well as the
...
ZEXAL elements in the story. But the plot soons turn into an inter-dimensional war as all the summoning types engage in battle. Honestly, this is just amazing as it somehow sums up the prior 4 into one series.
Art: 8/10
The character and scenery designs are alright, but Arc-V really shows their true arts during the duels. The Action Field that always changes brings a new scenery into play every time as well as the monsters, spells, traps, etc. Their designs are much more child-like, but do not lose the element of action and thrill. The art here in Arc-V is most superior during the suspenseful duels between duelists.
Sound: 8/10
The openings and endings are pretty cool. I especially like the 2nd one. Other than that, background music during duels does set the atmosphere and vibe and it makes it explicit enough for us to know what's happening.
Character: 9/10
This time around, we have a pretty big cast of people that each have their own story as well as their own archetype that correponds to their character. This makes them have their own unique flair and makes them shine whenever they duel. Their monsters reflects themselves. Of course, though some shine more than others, I feel that the spotlight on people like Yuya, Sora, Kurosaki, and others makes the story all the more interesting. Still, I'd like for them to focus on others too.
Enjoyment: 8/10
Whenever Arc-V comes on, I always get excited for an intense duel of emotions, feelings, and even better, new monsters! As an avid duelist myself, seeing my cards come alive makes me excited! (since we do not have the technology to make the cards come alive.) It's always nice to reminiscence about the old series as before this, there was only 1 summoning method. But Arc-V has them all from Fusion to Xyz so the excitement never dies down.
Arc-V is truly an enjoyable anime for me. Despite being a kid's show, the exciting duels and dynamic plot makes it all the more interesting for me to watch. I recommend this people who want to get into the Yu-Gi=Oh! fandom as it teaches you A LOT about the game, as well as those who want to see a card game in action, because in Arc-V it's always time to d-d-d-d-d-d-duel!

What once is a flourishing amusement park with large attractions and fun mascots is now in shambles. Everywhere you look inside are in shambles and everything has just fallen apart, forgotten by society. And now you have to make it popular once more, in 3 months.
Is it possible?
Amagi Brilliant Park tells the story of a boy in his attempts to revamp and bring this park into glory once more. This is what I think of this series.
Story: 9/10
So in short, it's about a boy who is forced into helping the park's staff attract more tourists into their park. Seems simple enough, which I find to
...
be really great. This is because 1) it's really simple to understand and follow their main motives without being drowned in subplots and 2) It really allows for other subplots to develop that bulks up the main plot as well.
Art: 9/10
The character designs are beautiful and very unique. The incorporation of the diverse, magical staff of the park (which I found to be particularly cute) as well as the humans (whose designs exceed my expectations) brings a wonderful-looking cast into play. The park itself doesn't look to bad either from a view.
Sound: 8/10
In regards to sound, I found the OP and ED to be perfectly fitting to the whimsical and comedic theme of Amagi Brilliant Park. Just listening to it brings a good vibe to you. The OP is one of the things that really got me into the anime series and the ED is alright, although I frequently skip it.
Character: 9/10
I personally love the characters and their diversity. I admit that I first expected the characters to be the typical kind that matches their designs. Fun-loving, cute, and friendly. They are, but they have so much depth that their character development interests me. Moffle, Tiramie, and Macaron's characters really makes me love Amagi to a whole different level.
Enjoyment: 8/10
I really do enjoy Amagi Brilliant Park and I always look forward to the new episodes every week. It contains humour, comedy, a great theme, and pretty much anything you'd expect in this series! One thing I've got to say is how they build upon the development of a theme park, which is a nice approach since I also love theme parks since I was a child. I look forward to this. Always.
Overall: 9/10
It exceeds in pretty much everything. Each episode is able to develop the story further while not making it too boring since there'd always be some running gag or a continuous series of jokes. Amagi Brilliant Park is an anime series I recommend to people who enjoy watching Comedy or Slice of Life since it contains similar aspects to other series of their genres. Definitely worth watching!

Coming from the producers of "Hidamari Sketch" and "Puella Magi Madoka Magic" is the new food anime of the season, Koufuku Graffiti is an outstanding anime about a girl named Ryou who finds her passion in cooking and cuisine through her daily life and her friends! With dishes introduced every episode, this is a slice of life (Pun intended) anime that is favourably sweet!
Story - 7/10
Like most other SoL/Comedy, it has no set plot/storyline, but rather the occurrences of the daily life of a character in the anime. However, the events that happen are still worthwhile and fun to watch as we follow Ryou and
...
Kirin in their daily lives of art and cuisine! However, the plot isn't the main focus of Koufuku Graffiti. It is the...
Art - 10/10
Art is this anime's strongest point really. Every food and dish is detailed extremely well and makes it very realistic and delicious! It is not an understatement to say you'll get hungry after watching it! This anime focuses more on its art styles of the cuisine rather than plot, so this is what makes Koufuku Graffiti savoury realy.
Sound - 8/10
Sound plays a dominant role as the background music during the scenes that involve cooking or eating. That adds to the atmosphere to make the watcher crave food and enjoy watching the characters eat the food themselves. The OP and ED are fine and appropriate to this SoL anime.
Character - 8/10
The characters themselves are what I'd describe as "stereotypically cute," but it very much fits into the theme here. The cast as of right now isn't very large, but that allows for rapid character progression and adds depth to Ryou's backstory. The anime itself dwells upon the food to build upon characters, which an interesting way to go about with the characters. There are, however, only females introduced as the main cast, which is understandable since this is a cooking anime, though a male one would make it more diverse.
Enjoyment - 9/10
Before watching each episode, I always make sure to be more or less hungry since the food mesmerizes me. After watching episodes, eating some ramen or even a pizza makes it feel more delicious and enjoyable. However, those who aren't big food fanatics could get bored easily. Same for those who aim for plot since this anime is somewhat bland in plot progression, but vivid in its tastes.
Overall - 9/10
This anime is superb, but falls short of the spotlight for having no explicit plot and a small cast consisting of only females. However, it is still exceptionally amazing and tasteful. I'd recommend this to food lovers and those who need some food inspiration (The way they eat is very "sexy") as well as the SoL/Comedy genre. For those who have little patience with dragged scenes and dislike daily life, I recommend this to introduce you to the SoL genre since we can all relate to food! Hope you will enjoy Koufuku Graffiti!
