Hataraku Maou-sama!
add

**"Hataraku Maou-sama!" is well known as 'The Devil is a Part-Timer!'** -Both main characters are powerful demons(Staz is a vampire) but don't seem particularly evil -Both main male characters are the typical 'shounen' MC (they also have the same voice actor) -The setting and comedy are reasonably similar -Both anime include two worlds (a human world and a 'demon' world) -Neither anime is very tense, they both have a soft, comedic atmosphere (with exceptions) -When there is action, it's a bit exaggerated I think that if you liked one, you'll enjoy the other!

Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo
add

-Both have similar plots (children going to a different world for a similar purpose) -The protagonists have similar goals -Both have a message to convey to the viewers -Both have reasonably dark and mature moments The plots are very similar, but I have to say I enjoyed Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo much more. Either way, if you liked one, you're likely to like the other.

Btooom!

-Both have similar atmospheres -Both have roughly the same setting (fight for survival) -Both can be pretty disturbing to some people Gantz is much more gory, but they are both psychological and focus a lot on morality, so if you liked one, you'll probably like the other.

Steins;Gate
add

Without spoiling it, the main characters overcome difficult obstacles to defeat fate. While Higurashi has darker themes, Steins;Gate is more sci-fi. Both anime, however, include complicated concepts (I can't say what those are without spoiling both.) While watching you may not think that they're very similar, but when you think about it, they both have similar plots. If you liked one, you'll probably like the other. Though, Higurashi has a lot more gore.

Both shows use theme parks to cover up something. That something in both is related to 'special powers'. Also, both shows have quite a tense atmosphere. *This goes for all 6 of the Towa no Quon 'movies'*

Hybrid Child
add

-Both yaoi -They share a producer -Same art style -Both romance You can tell that they have the same producer just by looking at it. The art style is the same, and the characters' personalities are very similar too. Hybrid Child is short and sad, but if you liked one, you'll like the other!

Plastic Memories

-Both have humanoid dolls who have feelings etc -Both are romance Hybrid Child's first episode (there are only 4) reminded me a lot of Plastic Memories. It was like a shorter, yaoi version.

Mardock Scramble: The First Compression
add

-Both have cyberpunk themes -Both have futuristic settings, including futuristic body modifications (eg, ciborgization) -Both have similar art styles -Both share 'themes' of rebirth -Female protagonists I personally enjoyed Mardock Scramble a lot more, for various reasons, but I think both of them deserve to be more well-known.

Mirai Nikki (TV)
add

-Both include survival games -Both reasonably gory -Both MCs seem pretty weak on their own at first -Both MCs are protected by a girl -Both anime will give you a thrill if you like survival game anime -Ganta and Yukiteru have a sense of desperation that's made clear to the viewer -Both include a yandere girl -Similar setting -Both could be put under the 'psychological' genre -Both explore 'dark' themes The list can go on but I'll stop here. If you enjoyed watching one, I think you will enjoy watching the other.

If you liked

Tokyo Ghoul
add

-Both are reasonably gory -They share a theme of fighting for humanity -Both include 'monsters' (ghouls and titans) -The MC is quite discontented with his situation -A strong female character at the MCs side (Touka and Mikasa) -The 'monsters' in both eat humans While I have to mention that Tokyo Ghoul was a let down compared to the manga, the anime alone will be reasonably enjoyable if you liked Shingeki no Kyojin.

Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru
add

-Both have ex-chuunibyou characters -Both are romantic comedies -The plots are pretty similar (MC tries to forget embarrassing past etc etc) -Both anime include a small group of characters in school who form a club together -["Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai"] isn't a harem, whereas ["Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru"] is. There aren't many things to write about in terms of similarities, but I can say that if you watched one, you will be reminded of it when watching the other. So, that said, I think that if you liked one, you will like the other.

Kotonoha no Niwa
add

-Both are visually stunning -Both created by the same director -Both are movies -Both focus on a relationship in our society and break it down accurately to show both sides' feelings are understood -Both have the concept of 'distance' which the characters have to overcome in the relationship (both physical and psychological) -A similar atmosphere in both -Both can be described as 'bittersweet' -Both have beautiful music to compliment the mood and art I personally enjoyed Kotonoha no Niwa more, but Byousoku 5 Centimeter is also amazing. I was captivated by the art in both. The pace in each one is different, but if you liked one, you will definitely like the other. I highly recommend both.

-Lead female character is known for her rabbit-style attire/fighting style -Discrimination against a group of powerful individuals (feared for their strength and out-casted for their origins) -Both anime are emotional -Both anime are pretty straightforward Though the two anime are quite different, if you enjoyed one, you will probably enjoy the other.

Zankyou no Terror
add

-The two main characters in each anime have a strong, brotherly-like bond -A theme of revenge (stronger in Zetsuen no Tempest though) -A female MC who plays an important part in the male MC's lives -Both include literature (Zetsuen no Tempest uses 'Hamlet' by Shakespeare, while Zankyou no Terror uses Greek mythology) -Both are psychological -Both anime have shocking endings/plot twists -Both anime have a sense of urgency, which keeps the viewer intrigued Zankyou no Terror has a more sophisticated atmosphere than Zetsuen no Tempest, but both are among my top 5 anime! If you liked one, I think you would enjoy the other.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
add

-Both are romantic comedies -The MC's are similar (basically no friends at first, but grow as people throughout the show) -The MC's are what would be classed as weird/different/outcasted -There's some sort of love triangle in both Toradora's characters are less direct about their feelings, and Taiga is a classic Tsundere, whereas both of the main characters in My Little Monster are very straightforward and honest about their feelings. Toradora is longer and ends with a firm understanding of the MC's relationship, but My Little Monster leaves things somewhat unfinished. Both are comedic though. If you liked one, you will probably like the other!

-The MC's in both anime have a strong bond that grows throughout the show. -The art is beautifully colourful in both anime. -There is a goal that both MC's work towards -Both show adventure, comedy and fantasy/supernatural elements Karneval is more serious than No Game No Life, and really hits the feels in some parts. They may not seem so similar at first, but: -The relationships are similar (Sebastian is bound to Ciel by a contract, Ryuk is bound to Light in a similar way.) -Both involve supernatural entities (Sebastian and Ryuk/shinigami) -Both include shinigami -Both MC's have detective-like roles -Both MC's have blonde, over-caring girlfriends (Lizzy/Elizabeth and Misa) -Neither MC are doing particularly good or particularly bad things (Light does what he sees as justice, while Ciel seeks revenge, doing what benefits him) -Ciel is similar to L, as well was Light (Ciel is the successor of his family, while 'L' is more of a title than a name, and has successors waiting [Near and Mello]) -Both anime make you think deeper

-Psychological theme -A lot of death, though in comparison to Psycho Pass, Death Note's isn't very direct -Centered around crime and investigators -The main character in Death Note is similar to the antagonist in Psycho Pass -Based around morality -Is killing okay in certain situations? Etc -Both make you think and is more for people with mature mind sets (people who know that things aren't just black and white) I think that if you liked one, you would like the other.

Another
add

-Both gory -Both about high school students -Both focus on death -Sad character pasts -Psychotic people(girls) -Great character development Both anime focus on a relationship between a main male character and a main female character, but Mirai Nikki is more of a one-sided relationship, whereas Another isn't. Corpse Party: Tortured Souls - Bougyakusareta Tamashii no Jukyou
add

-They're both gory -Both set in a school -Characters have weird and sad pasts -Both are about/focus on death Corpse Party is only 4 episodes, and has more tension, whereas Another has 12 episodes, and the story starts off slow. The story does get more tense in the last few episodes though, I thoroughly enjoyed both.

Black Bullet
add

-Both are about saving humanity, which is on the brink of extinction -In both, humanity is threatened by strange creatures -The beginning of the Black Bullet op is similar to SnK's -The protagonist is young(and male) -In both, there are more than one enemy (the creature and humans) -The protagonist share the same voice actor While watching Black Bullet, I found myself reminded of Shingeki no Kyojin. Black Bullet is very different though, as there are initiators and promoters, which actually has a bit of a twist. I'll stop there, but if you liked Shingeki no Kyojin, I recommend Black Bullet, and vice versa.
