Owari no Seraph

It starts with a tragedy where the protagonist loses important persons and flees from a cruel system. Both protagonists are parentless and there's a deep male friendship. 07 Ghost is not shounen ai romance but still has a little BL subtext. Owari doesn't have such so far and I guess it won't since it's shounen. Owari is of very high quality (animation, music, atmosphere, story) and can bring your tears out. So can 07 Ghost since both have a very tragical start. But 07 Ghost gets a little too fluffy and stumpy over the episodes - it's also very shoujo'ish, while Owari is less like that but it can still be watched even if you prefer shoujo over shounen. Either of them has a certain amount of a military setting.

Both animes are about persons fighting a system they're captured in. Both systems are inhumane and cruel. Also the males have a deep friendship. No. 6 is not shounen ai romance but still has a BL subplot. Owari doesn't have such so far and I guess it won't since it's shounen. Owari is of very high quality (animation, music, atmosphere, story) and can bring your tears out. No. 6 has a very good manga/novel but the anime (is a rather stumpy) can't compete with the manga/novel in the slightest. Although Owari isn't shoujo it can be watched even if you prefer shoujo over shounen.

They have supernatural creatures, are lovely and dreamy. Both warm your heart and enchant you in a beautiful adventure you'll love. It'll give you this certain feeling of "when I'll have children, I need to show them those beautiful, nostalgic 'fairy tales' ". Both are emotional in so many ways and embrace your soul. Both have some melancholic sides but Natsume's story is even more moving and so sad at times you might need to cry. At the same time they are so heart-warming that they bring you happiness. Natsume's story is more educational showing that superficially scary beings aren't bad at all, they can become friends and have reasons for being so scary at first (the same goes for Howl's film). It opens your mind for deeper thoughts and lets you value timely limited situations in your life more, especially when you get to know more about Natsume's story. The same for Howl's film: You begin to value other things more than focusing only on the surface of one's body and how one does look to others. Nothing's going to stop you, no matter what happens, if you feel things with a warm heart. Both have the same message.

The heroine is mentally absent, puzzled, confused, obedient, submissive, has a lack of own opinions, no temper and is boring. There's nor charm nor allurement. Both girl protagonists resemble each other. There are many pretty boys but this cannot replace any content. I regret I've watched Angelique but Amnesia seems to get interesting. Edit: nah, now I regret watching both. But the Amnesia ghost gets somehow cute and the end is appealing in contrast to the rest.
