School Rumble is quite a unique anime experience filled with nostalgic memories anyone can relate with. Starting off with an innocent little girl, Tsukamoto Tenma as she goes to school who just wishes she could reach out to her loved one and have a romantic time together as their highschool years go by. Unbeknownst to Tenma however, a delinquent is also on the chase for his lover… who just happens to be her. Giving you Shoujo Vibes? Well, it isn’t not by a milestone. It’s in fact, a comedy anime filled with the feeling of wanting to reach out for the other person, but never truly being able to connect, both are so air headed, none of their signs truly reach out for them, that struggle is what enables such a wonderful comedy. As the series goes by and more characters are introduced the circumstances just go way out of hand and makes for quite some hilarious circumstances which I believe anyone can relate to their School years. That is this Anime’s beauty. You feel nostalgic about your school life as you grow more in sync with these characters and want to see how they will befriend one another. As for how this is Similar to Lum, both are highschool stories, both are very comical, and both have a romantic appeal and story to tell. So if you did fancy watching Urusei Yatsura (or vice versa), you should most definitely want to give this a go.
