At first I had my doubts, my first thoughts were oh this is just your average isekai, with the obvious character tropes they always have, and while that might be true, it's still entertaining to watch. Unlike most isekai, this show doesn't have much in terms of tension or drama, because in every situation where something could happen, the mc, Touya, always has the spell to solve the issue. And because he can do this, after every girl he saves from some kind of situation, they inevitably fall for him and join his group.
I want to get the record and say that this show is
...
in no way comparable in terms of quality to the greats such as FMAB, Steins;Gate and all but it has a special charm to it. The show excels on what it intended to do, i.e. entertainment, humor, and sending a message.
The cons:
- Mediocre art and animation
- Unoriginal character personality types
- Bad character designs
- Not much character development
- OP MC
- Problems are solved too quickly
Now, the Pros:
The show went all out unlike most serious in this genre, the MC is right in the middle from most male mc's in isekai harems, he isn't a super shy, weak, bashful guy, but he also isn't a super perverted, strong but dumb hero, and his goal isn't to get all the girls. Instead he is a smart, strong, morally correct, confident hero, who isn't completely dense. He makes sure to bring up his morals in almost any instance where it is important, including the last episode which was very satisfying compared to most harem anime.
Final Thoughts:
The soundtracks only purpose is to fit the mood of each scene which does well at doing that but nothing more. The story isn't anything special, just your average isekai, harem just without the usual drama.
If you're going into this show expecting a masterpiece, well don't unless you find harem anime extremely good, but for anyone else, you should expect an entertaining harem/comedy with a satisfying ending.
What was enjoyable about the series was that it had it's funny moments where isekai usually fail to hit, as well as where harem anime also fails to hit. By all means this isn't an anime for story driven viewers but more for a person who enjoys isekai or a person of comedy.
Verdict:
Story: 6
Art: 6
Sound: 6
Character: 7
Enjoyment: 10
Overall: 9

This is a alternate story line, I repeat this is not a season 2 of the show. Although season 2 will be coming out soon. Don't expect this to be as comical as the first season either, it has a more serious tone to it (should've read the genres).
This is backstory for the "Sword Princess" or better known as Ais, it offers her day to day interactions with her familia and how she also meets Bell in her point of view and what she thinks of him. The story also revolves around another character not given a lot of screen time in the main series,
...
Lafiya, to me personally comes off as annoying and useless, she also has a lesbian side to her when she talks to or about Ais she seems a little too fond of her. This season was meant to capitalize on the character development needed for many of the supporting characters from the first season, Ais is a quiet person who doesn't talk much, and is bad at expressing her feelings through words and often , comes off as dull for the most part. Lafiya was barely even mentioned, and her interactions did seem pretty random but this side story really helped explain the trouble that seemed to revolve around Ais. It also makes you appreciate the side characters much more.
Story: 7 The story was weak compared to the main stories, it was a little all over the place, but it did offer explanations the main story didn't and had a nice pacing
Art: 8 Well done like the first season
Sound: 7 I watched the dub and very much enjoyed the voice actors chosen, the music was also pretty good
Character: 8 This side story offered a lot of character development that the main story didn't, and offered a new perspective of the importance of the supporting characters
Enjoyment: 3 I knew this wasn't a season 2 of the show but I was expecting it to have the comedic side which is what made me really enjoy the first season, and I thought I would see Bell a lot more too, the show was too serious for my taste, and even in the parts that were supposed to be funny I didn't even laugh all that much
Overall 6.6 but we'll round it to a 7

Before you read my review all I have to say is, watch it! Then come back here and read my review, it doesn't contain spoilers but I don't want you to waste time contemplating whether or not to watch this show, just watch it.
Holy sh*t did I not expect that, this masterpiece of a show is very underrated, unlike most series I come across, I have no bad things to say about this anime. Did it piss me off at times? HELL YEAH, but, this show captivated my attention right from the start, I could tell this would be a great series, a gem. But
...
man o' man was I not expecting such a beautiful story, soothing music, dynamic character development, and I definitely was not expecting the romantic outcome.
It's easy to say that music and romance go hand in hand. The show doesn't revolve around the relationship between a girl and a boy with musical backgrounds like Your Lie In April, but a relationship between 2 friends and some love interests mixed in. Although, the women of interest have no musical background but do enjoy it. Sakamichi no Apollon showed what true friendship is like, and how there's going be fights and arguments over the stupidest of things, but how you'll make sure to reconcile and always each others back. The women in this show however, are almost too accurate to the real thing, indecisiveness and false signals manages to anger both you and the characters in the show. The guys however are pretty straightforward about things, at least to the girls cause they definitely hold back with one another.
Although it would've been nice to see a little more classical music, the jazz music was really nice, and I'm not a big fan of jazz but I did recognize some of the music choice. Kaoru and Sentarou often used music as a way to express themselves but not how you'd think, when they played together the only emotions that were put in where happiness, they were happy to play with one another and enjoyed their time together. When either one was upset they'd either play their heart out on the instruments or wallow in the sadness and barely play their instruments, clearly showing that they were suffering, and each time they would help one another out.
To be honest, I'm happy this show didn't mainly focus on the romantic relationships but on the relationship between friends and family. Truly a beautiful series.
Story: 9 Although you couldn't follow it at first, you quickly latch onto it and stay for the ride while listening to some nice jazz.
Art: 8 It was pretty and all but this show was not meant to satisfy your eyes but your ears.
Sound: 10 I watched this show in dub and really like the emotion the voice actors put in, they were well selected for each character and fit in well, although some background characters did seem like they had the same voice actor, but that's not really an issue. Oh, and the music was also really good to the ears, got me thinking about jazz in a new light.
Character: 10 The character development was well executed and the characters were very likeable, even the one's you might not like at first (just wait, episodes will explain all).
Enjoyment: 10 This has been one of my favorite shows to date, I enjoyed every second of it and I wish it had more episodes but sadly it doesn't.
Overall: 9.4
Personal Score: 10 sorry but my Enjoyment level goes far above any of the rest, but don't want to put a bias in my critical review.

I'll save you some time if you really want to, just watch the music video, but after watching the music video, don't let it persuade you into watching the movie, I made that mistake, and I can almost guarantee you'll be disappointed. Also a music video is a great way to advertise a movie or show, I mean it persuaded me.
The music video has stunning visuals, the song is beautiful and the 2 artists have such great synergy.
I've watched the music video over and over again and I just can't get enough of it.
Story: 8 Short and simple but get's the message out, especially for
...
such a short video
Art: 9 Visuals are stunning but the character design is the same as the monogatari series, c'mon shaft make some new characters they're literally clones
Sound: 10 the music is amazing
Character: 8 We only saw them vaguely you but you could see they had a strong bond with one another
Enjoyment: 10 Simply can't get enough of this 5 minute music video

In most cases involving short anime, the are often not able to properly convey the right combination of character development, plot, and conflict. However, this wasn't the case for Time of Eve, it was skillfully executed in a short 6 episodes, with a shorter 15-20 minute per episode layout as well.
In terms of sci-fi, it seems very odd for it to be paired with the genre slice of life, but they pulled it off extremely well, the only problem was that it should have stuck to it more often, it tried to create a subplot of showing the creator of said androids and other aspects
...
in that field, not that it was necessarily a bad thing, but it kept you wanting more, but did not satisfy the questions we have with the answers given. I would've preferred if the topic had not even been mentioned.
The story seems to revolve around the relationship between androids and humans in their everyday lives, some believe the androids are being mistreated, and others view those people as "android-holics," and are shunned by the general public. The MC seems to be in between both categories of people but can admittedly agree that androids aren't human, until he goes to the cafe, which is where all the character development goes down.
The art wasn't anything to be excited about, it's about average when it comes to production of art but the art style does seem unique in a sense.
The music wasn't anything special either, it was relevant to the mood of the interactions of each character with one another, and fit in nicely.
Character development was all about this show, I won't go in depth because that would involve spoilers but I will say that the views of many people are changed because they took into consideration the other persons point of view.
I very much enjoyed this short anime, and I won't lie in saying that I was skeptical about this series but it did not disappoint, in fact it surprised me, it left me wanting more, I'm gonna go watch the movie next and probably review that as well.

Also a music video is a great way to advertise a movie or show, I mean it persuaded me.
Minor Spoilers
After watching Uchiage Hanabi, Shita kara Miru ka? Yoko kara Miru ka? I've realized a few things here, so I'll list them.
Tried very hard to be The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, why you ask? It's rather obvious with the whole ball as a
...
sort of time travel mechanism, a time travel theme is not an original or stolen idea, (Silent Voice) but the way they did it was stolen. Not a major reason why this movie wasn't all that great however. It did make a twist to the mechanism in that it seems as though it creates a different timeline per say, I won't go more in depth cause I don't want to spoil anything else, but you'll understand what I mean.
Next is the art, although very beautiful, it's resemblance to the Monogatari series is so close that it makes it seem like this is a special episode, I know it's made by the same studio but c'mon man the two mc's are literally Identical to Araragi and Senjougahara, literally the first thing that came to mind when I saw the music video. It had a couple of choppy scenes were the anime had bad animation in it, seemed like an anime on a really low budget in those scenes, but overall the scenery was quiet beautiful.
I was very disappointed with the character development, there was next to none, none of the characters personalities were really shown, and the voice actors were badly chosen, at least for the boys, their voices were very deep for their age and size and were very monotone.
The movie left many questions unanswered, which is fine, but lots of unanswered questions were also major plot points, and the movie seemed very unfinished, not that it was just left on a cliffhanger and led the viewer to think what happened, but it seriously gave no hint to the outcome of everything and how can these kids fall in love in just 1 day, let's be real here, that is super unlikely. I have my own takes on what happened at the end of the movie but I'll keep that to the mind.
Here's some advice, just watch the music video, it's well worth your time unlike this trainwreck.
Story: 4 Didn't stay on track
Art: 8 It was good just too identical to the monogatari series
Sound: 9 I loved the ending song choice
Character: 5 No character development, but the characters were likeable
Enjoyment: 7 Although it did manage to disappoint me, It was still a good way to pass time
Overall: 6.6 but we'll round it to a 7

Only spoiler is for episode 1.
Darling in the FranXX offers an interesting take on a coming of age story involving a group of young children born and trained for the purpose of piloting giant mechas called FranXX, their sole purpose in life is to protect the human race from the Klaxosaurs. They are mankind's last chance at redemption, their only way of proving their existence is by defending their race. The story mainly revolves around 2 characters, Hiro and Zero Two, Zero Two is known as a mysterious and infamous girl with 2 horns in her head, she is known as the “Partner Killer.” His
...
first encounter with her is sudden, because a Klaxosaur has attacked the fortress they live in known as a plantation, he joins her in their struggle to fight off the Klaxosaur and pull it off and the story continues from there. This show offers many things in its arsenal of strategy in the creation of this anime, from the unique and original take on the use of mechas with a female and male companion, although the plot of children using mechas to save the world is not an original idea (Neon Genesis Evangelion), but a plot involving relationship drama, both romantic and relationships with one another, and the compelling story it involves with the children not knowing of the outside world or even knowing the truth behind why they never see the adults they are sworn to protect, it makes you crave more and more of the beautiful work of art that is Darling in the FranXX.
Story: 7 Story isn't all that interesting, after all its a coming of age anime
Art: 8 Nothing insanely great about it like Violet Evergarden per say, but it has a nice atmosphere and mecha's have a nice design as well
Sound: 8 Don't personally like the intro all that much but the atmospheric and background music is nice
Character: 10 It's a coming of age story so of course there's gonna be a lot of major character development, although Hiro doesn't have all that much compared to everyone else, and Zero Two has the most
Enjoyment: 10 I am on the hype train of Darling in the FranXX
Overall 8.6 but let's round it to a 9

This quite possibly one of the worst anime's ever created, however it's definitely #2 to Tenkuu Danzai Skelter+Heaven, that is the worst anime ever created.
However, I definitely recommend watching the fan dub of this anime, it is some of the funniest shit I've ever heard, it isn't supposed to be accurate so don't worry about that, the only reason I gave this anime anything higher than a 1 is because of that sole reason, it is truly hilarious and made the awful time go by a little bit faster.
But yeah I'll list the shit anyway even though I don't need to.
Story: 1 Legitimately no story
Art:
...
1 There's something on the screen at least
Sound: 5 Only reason it's a 5 is because the dub was hilarious and the sound effects they used were also hilarious
Character: 1 I don't even know any of the characters name's they're obviously forgettable
Enjoyment: 5 The fan dub was funny, what can I say?
Overall 2.6, We'll average it to a 3

This is a cover of the first Rurouni Kenshin opening, Sobakasu by Judy and Mary. The visuals were very pleasant to look at, the singing and song however, they weren't all that great, just wasn't really into it.
The singing is worse than the actual song itself, not that the voice is bad just that it isn't meant for this song and that the singing isn't really my cup of tea let's just say.
There really is no story to this as compared to a lot of music videos that have come out, shelter or the music video for the anime fireworks, in both of those they
...
have a story you can follow and great visuals with great music. I feel like the characters had more depth even in the short time they are shown, although I won't lie and say I somewhat did enjoy it. But if you like this, seriously go check out shelter and the fireworks music video they are masterpieces.

Japan has implemented a complex system referred to as "The Red Threads of Science" to encourage successful marriages and combat increasingly low birthrates. Based on a compatibility calculation, young people at the age of 16 are assigned marriage partners by the government, with severe repercussions awaiting those who disobey the arrangement.
This anime was pretty bad for a romance but I won't spoil anything so I'll just list off my rating.
Story: 4 Very predictable and tacky kinda left a sour taste in my mouth
Art: 6 Big eyes in anime only worked for clannad because of its compelling story and character development
Sound: 8 Literally the opening song
...
is the reason why I even tried watching this anime, it's too god damn Lit
Characters: 6 For the most part the characters were bland and only developed personalities because of their "true love" and even then they barely changed
Enjoyment: I'd give it a 5, the end was extremely disappointing and extremely predictable but nevertheless I was still somewhat satisfied with the ending, I hope the OVA might offer incite into what happens or a little glimpse of what happens later
Overall: 5.8 but we'll round it to a 6
