I feel I may have dove into this anime with too high of expectations. I won't say this was a particularly bad watch, in fact I found it to be quite enjoyable, but it felt as if it lacked any real emotion.
The story is about a traveler named Kino, who drives his talking motorrad (motorcycle) to country to country, all of which vary in many different ways. Each country holds some sort of lesson to be learned, and the viewers job is to dig out those lessons from each journey. Kino's Journey actually doesn't follow any real sequence aside from episode 6 and 7, you
...
could pretty much start anywhere and still receive the full experience of the series.
Throughout watching the series, I've come to recognize Kino to be like the viewer, she observes her surroundings and takes in the situation, but very rarely/never gets involved. Just like the viewer of the series, she can only sit back and watch the events that transpire before her eyes, but never can actually experience it or try to change the outcome. I feel some viewers will have mixed feelings on this. While some may be able to sympathize with Kino, some may just get frustrated at her, angry that she allows such events to happen when she could clearly change them. I was somewhere in the middle with this, because though I could sympathize with Kino, I also felt her lack of emotion to be somewhat displeasing. I felt the series could have used some more inner conflict.
Despite some of the more disturbing scenes in the show, I felt Kino's Journey was very laid-back and light. Even some of the scenes that I felt should have made me angry or upset gave me hardly any reaction, for the series presents each issue rather indifferently, and as a result, my emotions seemed to follow in the pace of the series rather than allowing myself to actually take in the severity of some of the events. I feel this series is actually quite solid though, everything in it flows together and matches one another. The art, the sound, the events, the feel, everything feels as it should be there. Though in saying this, I wish their could have been more to it. I wanted more conflicts, more drama, it was just way to relaxing, and having the same emotion throughout the whole series though is alright, it can only go so far and be so good in my opinion.
I feel most people can find some sort of enjoyment in this series, just as long as they don't expect to experience some high-action show that gives them 'the feels'. It's something you have to take for what it is from the very start, for their will be little to no variation from beginning to end. If you like the first episode, you'll like the series, if you didn't really enjoy the first episode, drop it cause your mind will not change later on.

Good music, and a pleasant, light-hearted feeling.
Utapri's story line really has nothing special to it. In a way, it's a stereotypical reverse harem where a girl is thrown into a situation where she is somehow surrounded by a group of cute guys. In this case, it's some sort of top class music school that, not so surprisingly, is a boarding school as well. Can't say that something similar hasn't been done before. On the other hand, though the idea is on the unoriginal side, the feeling of it is very unique to me. I find that many reverse harem anime's tend to be filled to
...
the brim with drama and plot-twists, while this one was simply fluffy, happy, and dreamy, throwing some tiny, intense moments in as well just to drawl the viewer in a bit more, but overall, it had a very nice, light feeling to it which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The art was above average, but not something I feel to be gawk worthy. Haruka's eyes are a complete hiccup in my opinion, not only are they big and soulless, but then they turned around and colored them some ghastly yellow. They give off creepy vibes here and there, not pleasant, considering it messes with her sweet and kind character. Aside from that though, I felt everything else meshed well and was very fitting.
To be honest, sound and characters were the major selling points of this anime for me. The sound is fantastic! But I mean, you can't expect anything less from a musical related show. If you're gonna base an anime on music, do it right, and I felt the anime was spot on with it. As for the characters, I felt everyone was very unique. They all had their own niche, and they played them well, which I really liked. I kinda wish it had gone more in depth with each character.....but I can imagine that being kinda difficult to do with all six guys in only 13 episodes.I'm hoping the sequel will shed some more light onto them, but I still liked and enjoyed them, so I guess that's what mainly counts.
Anyone who enjoys music, and wants a show with a more low-key vibe to it, I feel this will be a good match-up. Also, there's some good bishounens in there as well, for those who are interested~ ;P It's definitely worth giving a try at the very least c:

The concept of the story is what drawn me to this particular anime. It seemed so unique! If only they could have actually put in some more effort in to making it live up to it's full potential, this anime could have been really amazing.
This anime leaves a lot to be desired, it sorta follows the vague description to the dot, I found myself lacking any kind of emotion while watching this. It made me smile and let out a small chuckle hear and there but nothing at all like I expected. It just makes you wish they would've done 'this' or 'that' to improve....
Though
...
the concept was interesting, they failed to actually deliver it which I found fairly disappointing
As for art, I couldn't say it was bad, It was pretty decent actually. I didn't have much issues looking at it, nothing was particularly 'amazing' about it but in the end I actually liked all the visuals giving the art category a 7.
Starting off I'd like to say I actually thoroughly enjoyed the theme to this anime, aside from that though I don't have much to say about the sound. To describe it I'd just have to say it was kinda just....there. Very forgettable.
Characters were pretty stereotypical. Hot-headed, cocky boy teamed up with cool-headed, equally cocky boy and a spazz of a girl thrown into the middle. Nothing really special in this category. If you don't mind the traditional set-up, you probably wouldn't have much to complain about.
This anime I would suggest for a day you really have nothing better to do. Admittedly, I struggled at points to finish it-I had to really push myself to get through the last 3-4 episodes or so. It had it's enjoyable parts and I can see it being perfect just to pass time. Otherwise, I'd just hold it off. Overall though, I'd give this anime a 6.

Watching Nabari no Ou was just the luck of the draw for me.
I was bored and just wanted an anime that would keep me mildly entertained-even if it was short lived.
The very first episode had my heart pounding.
It was exciting, it took me in from the very beginning, it definitely caught me off guard.
When it comes to the story line though, I had to take off a couple points.
...
In the beginning it was way to similar too Naruto.
Ninja, a teacher, three students, one wants revenge on their brother (For killing their family, no less), and a couple other details I must spare. At first it was a little...odd with these almost exact similarities but, if you can spare your feelings towards this in the beginning (honestly, I really didn't mind it much....) you'll realize they have an incredible difference that makes Nabari so unique.
Instead of focusing on ninja and getting stronger, I have to say this anime focused a lot more on the relationships of the characters and this is what I grew to love about this anime.
Story: 8/10
Art was very satisfactory. Some characters may have been simple but, they weren't rushed. Each characters looks was unique in its own way. The artist did a great job by staying in the boundary of not being too dull or too flashy. I feel that most would agree with me on that.
Art: 10/10
Sound was good, I really don't have too much to say besides that I liked it. It wasn't the most amazing opening/endings in the world but, they were enjoyable.
Sound: 9/10
Such a variety this anime held. I have to say this is one of the best animes I've seen in this category. You get practically a taste of everything. I also have to point out how much I loved the main character who wasn't so damn predictable. Yes, Miharu was the break I needed from all those hyper, sometimes brainless mains you see in most animes such as this......
Character: 10/10
I throughly enjoyed this anime. It's sad though.....be prepared to feel a lot of the emotions the characters portray. Like I said, this anime is mainly about the relationships among the characters and you'll get pretty connected to them. You can actually understand them....feel their emotions like there yours.... I loved the experience and for once, I'm happy that I got bored and decided to take a chance. But, I must warn you.....it has a very bittersweet ending that, depending on the person, you may feel quite disappointed.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Overall 10

Playing Sports?
The worst.
Watching Sports?
Boring....
This anime?
...
Surprisingly satisfying.
The story wasn't too unique-there's a lot of sports anime out there but, even so it had it's own original twist too it and as a whole I throughly enjoyed it. Art could use some improvement, it was very simple but it wasn't bad to look at either. I liked the sound pretty well, especially with the band. It gave a really good feeling. All the characters had all there own originality to them too even though Mihashi tended to piss me off an incredible amount. Than again, that is what made him so unique. ;D
I hate sports an every aspect but, this anime made me actually really enjoy it.
I didn't know next to nothing about baseball before this and it actually made me excited even when I had no clue what was going on!
Even if you don't like baseball and have no clue about the game is not an excuse not to watch this-it really isn't.
I would honestly recommend this to others despite what they like in an anime-it was just that appealing to me. :}

I believe the title of this anime is holding it back from its possible popularity.
I wouldn't go as far as to say this was the most amazing romance anime I've seen-but I can say I never lost interest from the beginning to the very end.
It had a very unique plot, despite what I thought beforehand. In the beginning I was more than willing to bet this would become a stereotypical romance, like a twisted version of Cinderella or something of the sort. To my relief, it didn't become annoyingly cliche, not at all. Even when I thought it was going to turn into that,
...
a curve ball was thrown and the story would take an unexpected turn.
The only thing (Besides the title) I'd like to comment negatively on was the main protagonist in the beginning. Not too long ago I was more of an 'action' type of person-actually going as far as to say I despised romance anime. Why was this? Because in my opinion the characters always acted so damn spazzy, I swear I could die inside. So just guess my excitement and utter joy when I found Ahiru, the perfect definition of spazz? But somehow, I was able to look past it after awhile and I stopped really noticing it at all, something that I'm usually not able to do.
I'd recommend this to anybody who likes romance with a unique plot and twists being thrown in here and there.
Or really, anybody with the slightest interest in Ballet-this would definitely be your anime :3
