What if the protagonist from Kino no Tabi was Kiki from Majo no Takkyuubin?
From what I can see this is what this anime is.
Despite what you could think, I don't think this is a bad thing.
It may not be very original, but I really liked what I saw, the animation was wonderful and it made me happy.
Also, in episode three it deals with some more serious topics, in a way I appreciated.
What I didn't like:
There were some scenes that were supposed to be really intense, but I probably wasn't feeling how I was supposed to feel? It seems that this is
...
an anime about traveling, so it makes sense if the protagonist doesn't spend a lot of time in the same place. However, this makes me hard to believe that she was so attached to the characters she met. I'm sure it is possible to become really close to a person in a really short period of time, but this is an anime, so I need it to make me believe it. I mean, the atmosphere was beautiful, and I was loving the anime, but I couldn't feel the character's emotions. It didn't feel real to me.
In the beginning, I was feeling a lot more emotions, but then they faded.

When I began this show it was entertaining. But to be honest, I didn't really think I would like this anime. A school of teens with superpowers? Yeah, it's fine, but I've already seen it. There are murders? Fine, but again, I've already seen it.
However, the contrast between the way the protagonist thinks and the way she acts, and also the fact that she was the killer, were enough to make me continue the anime after the first episode. Were they also things I already saw in other shows? Yes, but they were well made enough to catch my attention.
I watched this show thinking
...
"seem interesting, but I'm not really attached to these characters, I don't feel strong emotions watching it, I just want to know what could happen to the protagonist, as soon I will have enough I will drop the series". But even with this mindset, after each episode, I was thinking "Well, I want to know how it continues, probably I will watch another episode before dropping the series".
But I never dropped it. As I said, it was entertaining. The scheming, the neverending mental fight between the character were great for me.
So I watched the last episode. In my opinion... gold. The series was not great but good, the ending was everything I wanted to watch. It was wholesome, but sad and moving.
Surely it isn't the right anime for all people, but it was the right one for me, I enjoyed it and I think it was worth to watch.

This anime was wholesome. The whole time I was watching the show I couldn’t stop squealing in delight. I’m not joking. I was really making some strange sound reacting to what was happening, I was cringe.
I’m not saying this show is perfect, I don’t think it is. But it was the right thing for me. Sometimes I had to stop watching and take a break because I felt overwhelmed.
I don’t consider it one of my favorite anime yet, my favorite anime are the ones that have a meaning for me, and that requires also time, this show gave me a lot of
...
positive emotions.
It gave me a lot of Ghibli vibes (can we talk about those eggs and bacon in episode 2?). The art style was beautiful and also reminded me of the Ancient Magus Bride (which came out after, but I watched it before).
One thing I loved was also the clothes. I saw quite a variety of outfits, it was awesome. An amazing style in my opinion!
The main characters were lovely and so full of good intinctions, but not particularly innovative in my opinion. On the contrary, I’m convinced I saw characters with the same personality on other shows. I don’t think that this was really a flaw however because they were the kind of characters I love, so for me, it was a wonderful thing to watch.
Also, the “evil” characters of the show, even if they were presented as devious, usually it was shown after that they were not just “evil”. They had some reason for the way they acted and they were more kind of morally grey. I’m not sure that this was also done perfectly, I’m sure some people didn’t like the way the character development was executed, but for me, it was good enough, even I didn’t care that much about the various antagonist.
I didn’t particularly like that sometimes some scenes reveal a little bit too much about what was going to happens. But it wasn’t a big deal, I’d just wish sometimes the clues were more subtle. Also, other scenes really surprised me and left me speechless.
Also, the romance was quite obvious from the beginning for me, and sometimes it was almost painful to watch (not completely in a bad way, just a bit frustrating). However, the ending was good enough for me, I found it satisfying. Especially knowing that there is another season (I can’t wait to watch it, I hope it won’t mess up with the character development).

So, I don't usually read manga. Which is kinda funny if you think that as a child I always read more books than watching movies. For some reason, I also grew up watching anime but never really reading manga, and even if I love anime I have some difficulties getting into manga now. However, a while ago I watched Sankarea and I loved it.
I realized that unfortunately, the chances of getting another season are pretty low, so when I noticed that the manga was completed I thought, why not giving it a try?
So I read it.
I feel like I should explain the
...
score I gave it. I mean, I like it, but as I said even if I feel I can say I'm quite an anime fan, I'm still getting into manga, and so it was more difficult to enjoy the story as a manga than as an anime for me.
One of the main things is the pacing. When I try to read manga I usually feel the things are quite rushed in the beginning. I suppose this is because the beginning in anime has usually different pacing than manga.
There were moments I loved tho and made me really excited about what was going to happen next. But sometimes I also didn't really care.
However, this time even if I wasn't used to the pacing, I didn't mind that much because my main goal was reading the ending.
And... talking about the ending, did I liked it? I have really mixed feelings about it honestly. It made me both happy and disappointed.
And this is why my score at the moment is 6/10. Did I like it? Yes, but I also hated it, so I tried to find an average. With the anime I was more engaged the whole time, maybe if I will read this manga again when I will be more used to them (as I hope, I plan to read more manga to be able to enjoy them more) maybe my rating will be higher.

So, I have to admit that while this anime was airing I wasn't watching anime seasonally. I saw some memes about it on Instagram but I just knew it was about a guy that got married in the first episode, I didn't know how the atmosphere was. I thought it was something like the WebToon "marry me!", but a lot more cringy because it was about two teenagers.
Oh boy, I was so wrong!
This anime was awesome. I came expecting to see a couple that got married for a random reason, then they fall in love but they take the whole season to admit
...
it and I got a couple that gets married quite randomly (but also because they are in love) and they admit they are in love to each other and are happy together. This anime was so wholesome and heartwarming, a blessing for your heart.
Also, can we talk about the OP? It was lovely!
