Hey! Let me tell you a little about me: I started seriously watching anime when I was 10, and my first 2 anime that I started on the same day were Black Butler and Clannad. I watched both of these with my family, and then very soon after started watching Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) and School Rumble. In the past I used to watch whatever anime looked interesting to me and would be easily amused. But as I have gotten older, I am far more selective and prefer to watch shows that make me think about life and have very well-written plots, characters, and well-developed themes. I'm mostly a fan of fantasy and adventure shows with some action (though not the primary focus) that have strong characters, since characters are the most important for me. Characters for me are how I join the story instead of simply observing by connecting with the characters on screen and falling in love with them. While I watch mostly anime, I do read some manga if I particularly love a series.

Outside of anime and manga, I highly enjoy music (particularly alt and hard rock, but I enjoy all genres of music as long as they are catchy, and I tend to look for songs that have well-written lyrics that I connect with). I go to concerts a lot (Muse is king in this department).

Video gaming is another huge hobby of mine. I grew up playing Nintendo games as a kid and still cherish those titles, but nowadays I tend to play more PlayStation and look for games that have rich stories, worlds, and/or characters and make me think about life (I am fairly philosophical in my ways of thinking). Outer Wilds, Zelda Ocarina of Time, God of War Ragnarok, Sekiro, Elden Ring, and Metroid Prime 2 are my absolute favorite video games. These days I am obsessed with Souls games.

I have recently begun my drawing adventure and am trying to develop talent now that I feel like I have always had just sitting around. I also read regular books (novels, historical, etc) sometimes. My favorite book is 1984, easily.

I studied Japanese for a couple years in the past, but sadly do not anymore, and was able to reach intermediate proficiency. I have also traveled to Japan and can say for certain that it was the best time I ever had and probably ever will have.
