Okay so I'm only giving this a 1 because that's the lowest score available. This is the first time ever I'm writing a review and I thought I just HAD to after miraculously finishing this pile of shit. I hope my review can save people from wasting their time on watching this.

before this came out, the summary seemed promising, I was pretty excited, but the more I watched the more disappointed I got, by the 4th episode I completely lost hope that they will make anything good out of this, and it just kept getting worse afterwards. they just gathered up a bunch of characters ... whom they didn't even introduce properly and then killed in "brutal" ways, though I gotta say the art and the sound and the pseudo dramatic actions of the characters made the death scenes laughably ridiculous, you can't be sad nor afraid and you can't even sympathize with them.

the way they made two stories intertwined took a huge toll on the story and character development, it got everything mixed up for the viewers and sometimes I couldn't even tell which setting they were talking about at the moment, nor who belongs where.

I don't even want to get started about the main character. Whether it was in his old class or his new class, he was made out to be a hero and was liked and supported by everyone and had a half assed cheesy harem around him. But in reality he's the worst of them all, he only managed to survive all this time because people around him always saved his ass, either by being too crazy or by sacrificing themselves. He was only a huge coward who never took the initiative to do anything and was always shouting "I won't let anyone die" yet everyone around him just kept dying, and he kept weeping the entire show, it was disgusting to watch.

What was even more sickening is the explanation they gave for the executions. It would have been much better if they had just used something supernatural instead, even aliens would have worked better than some virus who just spread on the internet onto people's bodies ? like seriously ??

In the end we never knew who is the king, nor why and how does he do this. I think the story could have went much better if the punishment wasn't death, because the over-the-top death scenes and the edginess were too cringy to be taken seriously. maybe the author just thought that if they used various and gruesome ways of death it might have contributed to give some horror aspect to the anime but it only made everything worse because the deaths most of the time were unreasonable and unexplained and the scenes were badly drawn and badly animated. Maybe if the punishments were doing stuff that were somehow leading to a bigger scheme that would help the king one way or another, maybe we could have seen something better and all of this would actually make sense.

The only thing I liked about this show was the voice actors' performance and the ending song, I'll give it that. Also I hope the studio won't waste their budget on another season because nor me nor anyone is probably looking forward to it.
