It is good on them for going back and making up for the cut content, would be nice if other studio’s did the same (or just not cut content to begin with, but oh well). I’m a manga reader for Zom 100, and have loved what they’ve done with the adaptation, it fell off for a lot of people and I’m sure the same will happen with the anime, but I still love the manga all the way through. There’s some absolutely ridiculous stuff that happens in it and I love it, can’t wait to see it.
I have absolutely loved Watashino Shiawase so far, it’s so good and I really look forward to Miyo finally finding a place she feels she belongs, and can grow to be happy. The supernatural aspect has me really intrigued too. I have really enjoyed Horimiya Pieces tho, I like the slice of life comedic chapters that allow for more character interactions we missed in the main series. I wish they just adapted it faithfully at the start, but at least they’ve gone back to give us some missing chapters, that’s cool.
A tie between Vinland Saga and Heavenly Delusion
Monster, Grand Blue and Rainbow are great underrated shows.
I don’t think Guts will ever give up his humanity and he shouldn’t, it’s a major theme and part of his story, to be a human fighting against all odds, never sacrificing himself to reach a higher plane like his counterpart Griffith did. Maybe Schierke and Farnese will play a huge part in being able to defeat him, as well as Casca and her connection with the Moonlight Boy. But welcome fellow struggler, now we have to deal with the wait of a new chapter every time lol. Thankfully another one is already set to release in May, looking forward to see how it all unfolds. In it for the long haul, cuz the wait between chapters with inconsistent releases is a struggle itself. Thankful for Mori and Studio Gaga for picking up Miura’s work (Rest in Peace), because without them we would’ve ended on Teardrop of Morning Dew, which would’ve been so bittersweet.
But yeah I agree with you, it’s hard to picture how Guts can overcome Griffith at this time, he’s become a monolith and a savior for so many people too, I can’t see them turning on him even if they learned the truth about how he got to this position either. I want to see Guts be able to live a happy life with his newfound family, but it’s hard to imagine Griffith leaving him alone to do that, so it seems Guts will have to get rid of him somehow. Tho I have absolutely no clue how one would go about that, there are so many other issues that came along with opening Fantasia, that I don’t know if defeating Griffith solves all of that, and it leaves a lot of innocent people susceptible to danger.
There’s also the other God Hand members too, it’s just a shitty situation. I think Griffith is a fantastic character, but I honestly want to see him lose everything he gained from the needless sacrifices, he couldn’t leave well enough alone. But due to the laws of causality, idk if he really even had any options, which leads down a whole new rabbit hole of something else that needs to be resolved. I don’t know how exactly I want it to end, and Sadly with Miura’s passing we won’t get the full experience. Thankfully, with Kouji Mori taking over for him we will get a rough outline for how things will end, and I’m really intrigued to see how it all goes. Even tho you’re close to being caught up, theres still so much story left and things really start to pick up! I hope you enjoy reading through what you have left, until you join the rest of us strugglers waiting eternities for the next chapter XD
This season of anime has a ton of quality all the way down to the less popular ones like Otaku Elf and Too Cute Crisis.
But I’ve loved this season of Vinland, this is my favorite part of the manga and it’s my favorite series, and they’ve done it great justice. My favorite character archetype is violent or broken man realizing he wants to change and better himself, and Vinland delivers that the best in my opinion. Jigokuraku, Golden Kamuy, Vagabond, Blade of the Immortal, and Berserk all offer that and are all some of my favorite series.
I’ve enjoyed pretty much every anime this season I’m keeping up with (some more than others of course, Kamikatsu is probably my least favorite, but I’m still giving it a chance), and all seem to be getting better so I don’t think you can go wrong with checking any of them out! Hopefully I could help a bit, I hope you have a great day as well!
Many good new animes this season, I am also looking forward to Oshi no Ko and Mashle. Heard good things about both.
I don't think I watched any anime lately. T_T
Oh! I liked Sodachi a lot.
Hanekawa had great development and I can't deny that. Shinobu has also had great development, though personally I like Sodachi and Nadeko the best. I can't explain why. :))))
As for the books... I think I enjoyed Koimonogatari or Otorimonogatari best. I love that those books have a different narrator! (That's why I also enjoyed Nekomonogatari Shiro, but not as much as Koi and Otori)
I also really liked Kaiki (best girl) and Yotsugi. Kaiki because he was a great contrast to Araragi and Yotsugi because she was hilarious.
I didn't watch much of the anime. I only watched the seasons which didn't have their light novels translated in English (Owari, Zoku Owari and Koyomi if I remember right). So I can't compare them, but from what I've read, the books have a lot of internal monologues and extra information that wasn't mentioned in the anime.
What about ya? Who do you like best? :D
Aahh, I still didn't catch up with Vinland Saga and Dr Stone, but they're great! Especially Vinland Saga! :D
I really like the concepts of both those anime and I wish I could find the manga for them in the bookshop, but I can't. ;_;
Oh no!! xD
What MOBA game? Maybe I have heard of it. I've played LoL (a lot when I was 11 or so years old), DOTA 2 (veeery little, I just wanted to see how it was), Heroes of the Storm and Smite. However, I don't play them nowadays because I could get addicted to them (again) and play them too much. And I already don't have much free time, soo... :s
Have fun watching the anime, too. ^^
