Giving this series a 10 might seem like over-rating this short manga, but there is a reason for this.
The manga has beautiful art, and had a lot of potential, however sadly it was canceled and here's why:
This manga was based on a comic originally from Italy. The comic received its own animated series and was translated in several languages. Apparently, this was most likely the reason a manga for W.I.T.C.H. was created in order to get new fans in Japan, but sadly, it didn't succeed.
However, regarding what the story was eventually supposed to end up being, the original comic was a creative, great
...
and long series influenced by magical girl anime, and I give it an overall 10. I suggest giving it a try asides from its manga version.
Any ?"s of this series let me know, I have lot of info.

Whoever loved the Sailor Moon anime, would love reading it's manga. So much detail and backstories were left out in the original anime that it's shocking for anyone that is only familiar with the anime storyline.
The Classic first season plot in the manga had none of the yaoi present, and there was much more to enemies backgrounds.
S Season- Haruka is shown as more then just being the manly girl she was seen as in the original anime. The manga's plot in S was also much darker and traumatic.
SuperS Arc- Probably a favorite of mine in the manga. While still centering on Chibi-Usa(Rini), it has
...
plenty more to reveal about the mysterious Tuxedo Mask's past and future
Stars- This season had so many changes made to the anime it's hardly the same story. Genders, personalities and even relationships were completely different. ChibiChibi herself is a whole different character.
Despite all the detail and improvements the manga had compared to its anime, there is still one flaw. The manga is much shorter, causing entire season plots to be finished in only a few chapters. This makes the manga feel rushed while the anime took its time to really make us love it's characters.
Naoko's art is classically beautiful, there's so much to love about it.
To any newcomers, this is a classic magical girl series, and you should give it or the anime a try if you haven't already.

This Manga is a must read! The innocent-looking cover should not trick you into thinking this is a happy story for kids. It does have plenty of sweet, romantic and happy chapters and I still wouldn't call it a dark series, but it also deals with death, Shinigami, and even suicide. If you've watched the anime; the manga still has plenty of differences and details revealed that were not mentioned in the anime.
More information is given about the Shinigami's past lives and their connection to Mitsuki. Izumi, for example, is a completely different character. In the manga Izumi was my favorite character, in the anime
...
I just wanted to shoot him.
Even characters such as Eichi, Oshige, Mitsuki's grandmother and Madoka were given more attention in the manga.
Best of all though, the manga has an overall happier ending for all characters.
The artwork is, of course, the detailed, cute, and innocent style of Arina, No complaints. I would say this anime and manga deserved more attention than what it got in the USA.

I was a big Powerpuff Girls fan back when originally aired on CN. So, hearing that my much-loved animated series was getting an anime series was great news to me. However, this anime series was a great disappointment.
Story: 6 The storyline was fair. Changes of course had to be done, but the number of changes were a little too much for my tastes.
The main disappointment was just how weak they made the heroines' powers. Having yoyos and barrettes made Powerpuff girls go from an age-less great show to a kiddy show in my opinion.
Art: 10 If there was one thing standout feature about
...
this anime series it was the art style. It looked like an anime, but still kept the overall PowerPuff look. Colors were bright and indeed colorful. It was something pleasant to see.
Sound: 5 Don't judge me too much by sound, this is my not my strongest review point. However, the songs weren't too memorable or wouldn't be going in my album of anime songs.
Character: 7 One of the most disappointed thing asides from the story. Half of the characters were so different compared to the original series that it was an annoyance. The worst being the RowdyRuff Boys and Sedusa. Sedusa looked horrible in design, and the boys were changed from strong villains close in age and strength to the series heroines, to younger misbehaved boys.
Enjoyment: 6 The initial excitement of the series quickly stopped once the episodes passed on.
Overall: 7 Overall this could have been a really great show with a very large following, if they had stayed closer to the original series.

Despite being considered by some fans and even Naoko herself as the most far-fetched from the manga plotline. This is considered one of the most loved and favorited of the seasons of SM along with the much loved classic first season.
NEW Scouts-
There's plenty of new scouts from other galaxies and others leaded by their own princess. It also features a cool idol group as some of the season's new characters.
Last season-
This season was the last season of Sailor Moon and it was never dubbed in English during it's original release. This season may be still new news to some fans who just watched
...
and were familiar with the original English dub.
Break from Mini Moon-
And of course we get a break from Mini Moon. Even though she is still an important character in it's first episodes, she does get a break and doesn't appear through the second arc of this season. This could be a relief to some fans after SuperS.
Very dramatic-
Yes, this season has plenty of hardships, downfalls, and Sailor Moon will be find herself very heartbroken at times.
Villains are scouts-
Yes! I mentioned there was drama. Not only are there new scouts called the Starlights, the villains themselves are also scouts, which makes it hard to know who to trust.
This is all around a super season and is a must watch for fans. Despite the flaws that Tuxedo Mask is absent from the second arc (but it's for a reason), and the outers appear very little times. It's still it's a great season and you won't be disappointed.

This has to be my least favorite Sailor Moon movie out of the 3 that were dubbed. There were too many inaccurate things going on that I just couldn't just let it brush past me easily.
Story: 7 It could have been creative and hilarious with its villains, instead it was just overall very poorly explained. I liked the fact that they kept the dream theme connection to the SuperS season, but it just makes the movie in general more confusing in a number of matters. One being Pluto's unexplained appearance.
Art: 10 The art was very colorful, and rich. It's very obvious the movie was mostly
...
centered on Mini Moon or Chibi Moon with the young kids singing the theme, along with the candy and fairy looking villains.
Sound 6: I overall always love the music of Sailor Moon, but the music in this movie was just fruity and overall childish. Asides from the transformation music, the rest of the songs were forgettable.
Character: Again, this movie is obviously centered on Mini Moon, but while she is useful in the SuperS season, she's just a powerless princess in this movie. Sailor Moon, her team and Tuxedo Mask's appearance in this movie was to serve as the heroes that Chibi Moon wasn't being. I really expected Chibi Moon to be more of a help with the movie being centered on kids and dreams.
As for her sudden new "friendship" with the movie's new character. With her constant interest in someone else in the SuperS season, getting a new crush out of nowhere in this movie just made me gag. His background wasn't explained well enough either.
Enjoyment: 8 Although this movie had me laughing at it's villains and certain other moments. It definitely was my least favorite of the Sailor Moon movies.
Overall: A nice movie for Sailor Moon fans.

If you're a Mini Moon/ Chibi-Usa fan, you'll absolutely love this season
Story: One thing that annoyed me about this season, is also an annoying point that the anime did to the first, and Stars seasons. They left out a lot of important manga plot elements. It would have been a much more worthy season if had shown those details instead of leaving them out. It was a cute season, regardless.
Art: I absolutely love how they made Pegasus look artistically. Every one of his appearances had a magical essence to it, so art-wise this season was pretty good.
Sound: No big deal in sound either in this
...
season. No groundbreaking music, a lot of soft melodies were played throughout most of it, so it had a serene feel to it. Not horrible, but not amazing either. The voices though of Pegasus and Nehenlenia were top-notch.
Character: Although I'm not much of a Mini Moon fan, the new character of Pegasus/Helios was a great addition, and actually made me like Mini Moon's character more. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask were hilarious acting as parents, but other than that, the main leads weren't exactly main in this season. It's all about Mini Moon this time.
Enjoyment: I can't say I wasn't disappointed. I would have loved if this season were more like the manga's story-line instead of just Mini Moon being the main focus. Tuxedo Mask's origin story was prominent in the manga, instead it was only referenced in this the anime season. The same applies to the quartet villains, who also didn't get their origin or outcome in the anime explained.
Overall: This season wasn't the absolute best season, but still it's worth watching for it's cute scenes, and romance.

This movie centers on characters that are frankly usually ignored in the actual series; Luna and Artemis.
Story: Ok I'll be honest, when I first watched this movie as a kid, the plotline concerning the scientists confused me. I wasn't too sure what their connection was to the movie's villain, or what was going on between the two of them. After watching it again when I was older, I finally slowly understood it. They seemed to mix up the timeline with the past and present, and it can get easy to mix them up.
Other than that, the story consists mainly of Luna, and her feelings towards
...
'stuck being only a cat'. I was disappointed; they didn't take this chance to explain more about both Luna and especially Artemis's past as the manga did, but overall it still was a pretty good plot even with our usual main characters not being seen as much.
Art: Once again, the art is basic Sailor Moon style and there is nothing really that stands out. The ending scene is really nice to look at, especially the transformation sequence.
Sound: Sound wasn't so much of a deal. Didn't have breakthrough songs, and the sounds of the Snow Dancers made my ears bleed.
Character: I'm going to say it here and now. Luna's outcome at the end was the only reason I liked this movie. I cared little for the supporting characters, and the main characters were hardly present.
Another good point was the outer scouts made a believable appearance in this movie with the absence of Saturn, who hadn't yet appeared in the series timeline. The movie even managed to squeeze in short moments between Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask and Mini Moon.
Enjoyment: I liked the movie and thought it was cute to see Luna's outcome and Artemis acting adorable. I wouldn't say it's not necessary to watch because it does have some important scenes to see before getting into the SuperS season.
Overall: A cute fluffy movie, but overall nothing huge.

This was my favorite out of the three Sailor Moon movies, and to this day, it still is. It reveals details about Tuxedo Mask's childhood, and the movie is full of romance and heartfelt scenes.
Story: Truly an interesting story for a short movie. It provided some background to Tuxedo Mask's mysterious past.
Art: Art was typical Sailor Moon style, but some scenes were very well drawn and detailed. The battle scenes were fast-paced but full of such detail that it I believe it made certain scenes feel much more tense and moving.
Sound: Sound definitely was my favorite part of this movie. This movie made many
...
fans who claimed they hated the American dub to make an exception when it came to Promise of the Rose. Songs created for the movie were my favorites out of the entire series.
Character: Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask scenes were abundant in this movie compared to the other movies. It's obvious this movie was meant for R's season. Tuxedo Mask expresses his emotions more openly and visibly.
Enjoyment: I really loved this movie. I felt sorry for one of the villains, was touched by the movie's romance, and thrilled at the battle scene. There wasn't much lagging as the other movies had.
Overall: As I said before it's my favorite of the three. If you love Sailor Moon for its romance between Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, definitely this is a movie to see.
