Both of these shows feature a male character through no fault of his own is surrounded by a bunch of females and are thrown into random situations that usually, if not always, end in hilarity. 2 or more girls like the main protagonist. Personally, I find both of them hilarious and fun to watch.

-Both show involve a main protagonist with some sort of magical power. -There's some ecchi for those who like it. -The stories aren't fantastic, but they are fun to watch. -The females of these series are anthropomorphic people with animal characteristics. (more than one/series) -Romance is something that exists in both of them.

Both have stereotypical female archtype characters (abliet, there are different kinds for each anime) that are played pretty true to the character, both are in a similar visual novel style with actual choices they have to make, they both have quite a bit of fanservice, and great art. Both have pretty good sound tracks, and the male characters are both generic, semi-dense, and the least most interesting character. I also love both these series.

These 2 require a whole lotta thinking in order to understand what the hell the characters are talking about. Also, both of them have 2 story arcs that make up the entirety of the anime. Some fast-paced and climactic moments are included as well.

Cute girls that do absolutely nothing within the span of the anime's showing. Each girl in both series feature some sort of archetype, and they all reference various anime from various places. (They reference Haruhi a lot for some reason). A fun way to kill time if you want something not so serious.

Both include some sort of Harem. Only 2 "significant" male roles for each. Quite a bit of fanservice for each. Both have really weird and random stories that may anger some people. I hate both of these to my very core and hope that both of them die in a fire.
