...then you might like Toshokan Sensou add

Look at those titles-- it doesn't take a genius to connect 'Read or Die' to 'Library Wars'. Both series have main characters who... well, love and protect books. And while Toshokan Sensou is more realistic than ROD, you can't deny the similarities.

One word: SHAFT. SHAFT is insane. The somewhat random comedy, the blatant self-referencing, the weird animation style, the chalkboard gags...

COMEDY. Lots and lots of Japanese pop culture references in both. And there's also that one bit in Lucky Star that parodies Pani Poni Dash, and I'm sure that if Pani Poni was created after Lucky star it'd be the other way around.
