Not only do Uiba and Natsumi look scarily similar, they both act as mother figures (to a dinosaur and to a baby respectively) despite being around the same age (4th graders), and that's the premise of the show. Aired around the same time. Same quality. Love both. I think both are hidden gems if you're into kid's shows.

Both explore the lived experiences of how it is to grow up from a girl into a woman, from a girl's point of view ; simultinuasly to how it is to become a mother-figure to a daughter from a woman's point of view. Both have realistic takes from a modern-day point of view.

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu
|
When you think about it, the cast of Haruhi seems to be heavily inspired from the cast of Evangelion in character design. Isn't Kyon so similar to Shinji? Itsuki to Kaoru? Yuki to Rei? Isn't Haruhi's bossiness similar to Asuka's? And the whole fighting giants in a parralel dimension thing, isn't it similar to the angels? Considering the meta commentary on otaku culture KyoAni productions were doing at that time, I don't think the similarities between Haruhi and Evangelion are a coincidence. And they both just so happen to be some of the most influencial series in anime history.

If you like RPG Maker horror games, you'll most likely enjoy these shows. Satsuriku no Tenshi is straight out based off one. Other than that, Satsuriku no Tenshi and Shadows House both tell the tale of clueless characters that are trapped in a dark and mysterious building.

They have very similar main characters, down to their character design. And they have a similar relationship with each other. The animation in the music scenes of both is great too. Or vice-versa.
