The manga for Cowboy Bebop is completely different from the anime. It mostly shows the bounty hunters doing other stuff and sitting around than trying to hunt for bounties. If you read the Shooting Star manga, (which comes first) you would see the point in what I am talking about. They actually hunt for bounties.
Story: 5/10
The story may seem impressive at the start, but it shows a completely different setting of how the bounty hunters try to hunt down bounties like I said up top. It's more forgettable than the anime, but it doesn't really show romance. And if this even took place after the
...
anime, why doesn't Spike never talk about Julia, Vicious or Vincent? Also, why doesn't Jet talk about his ex-love? And why doesn't Faye talk about Wintey like in the anime? And since why does Ed have a friend? The story really explains on how to be lazy and all, but in Volume 3 they soon set out to hunt for bounties after the warm start-up in Volume 2. They get new bounty hunters, some are bossy, some are hyper, and some are merciless. Which doesn't thrill me but might thrill people who've seen the anime of course.
Overall the story could've been better. It does get boring when you continue reading the manga, but it just was O.K. I guess.
Art 7/10
The art, I guess isn't too bad. It still needed to suit the story more I mean look at manga(s) like Full Moon o Sagashite! They do that. But not this one, it was just nice, but could've been better.
Character 6/10
The characters were O.K. they are a lot much better and have a lot more personality in the anime than they do in the manga. They were kind of OOC despite the fact that the manga was created before the anime started like in the Shooting Stars manga, but Spike could've been a little more mischevious, Jet could've talked more, Faye could've acted more tomboy-ish and Ed could've been a little more hyper than that.
Enjoyment: 5/10
After I heard that the Shooting Star manga and Cowboy Bebop weren't as good as the anime or at least O.K., I decided to give it a try and see if I like them. I only read a little of Shooting Star, but Cowboy Bebop, I never thought I would get this bored of it. It was way too short and I know the first manga is going to be short too. Actually, I get tiresome reading any book period especially when you're at school, but books like Full Moon o Sagashite or Fruits Basket keep me enthused and waiting to read more.
Overall: 5/10
Cowboy Bebop seemed to have an interesting start, but from the other manga they created before this, I'm sure it's more interesting and suited to the series. The problem is the art and characters, I mean, Look at manga(s) like Lupin III or Samurai Champloo (at least I haven't read it yet)... they don't have a problem copying the art or characters from the anime into the manga. Look, I'm sorry if I gave this manga too many titles, but I recommend you to maybe try something different like Samurai Champloo or something.

Fruits Basket has always been one of my favorite anime and I'd have to say that it's a lot better than the manga (which is good too.) While I haven't read the manga (only some of it...) so far, when you watch this anime, it looks JUST like the manga but the characters are a little different from each other as usual, but keeping it in connection with the manga was pretty good.
Story: 10/10
Even though some people dislike Fruits Basket, it is still clear that some kids with a sense of humor would enjoy the story. First it starts off funny, then it gets funnier
...
and then sad at the ending (you'll know), many anime have to have sad moments every once in a while. You might not like Tohru at first, but getting around the teens episodes, you might start liking her. And there's Kyo, funnier than ever. Yuki is somewhat bold sometimes in the manga, but he's really nice to Tohru in this anime. The ending just fits Fruits Basket perfectlly and I wish it just had made more episodes.
Art: 9/10
At some point the art looks a little bit like the manga, but it's style looks more like anime like Azumanga Daioh or something. You know, the very cutesy and plain style? Although, it's not boring to watch. it's just pretty good that it had to be copied from Azumanga Daioh and look funnier.
Character: 10/10
Fruits Basket is mainly an anime for comedy-drama so all the characters would probably get funny every once in a while. Tohru, even though she might be cocky is a little funny. She helps people out when she thinks they might cause trouble or anything. Kyo is hot-headed, but for Tohru's love for him, he gets nicer. Yuki is hot (to girls) and mainly the nicest person in the series and he's very kind to people, but the Yuki fan club girls might annoy you in the beginning all of because Yuki's personality. Shigaru is funny and a little mischevious and perverted, but he kind of acts like he shouldn't be there when you notice him, but he's not exactly one of my favorite characters.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Nervous that some people didn't like the anime, I decided to just eagerly pick it up from the library and try it out to see if I liked it. And I never thought I would enjoy a single anime that big, it was WONDERFUL! It's story, art and characters just really enthuse me. The anime's worth-watching, trust me. Gets happy and then sad and then happy again.
Overall: 8/10
I wouldn't think that Fruits Basket is the best anime ever made, but it's one of them. It has a very enthusing storyline and the characters are great and I recommend to give Fruits Basket a try if you're an anime fanatic.

I'm surprised that there are no reviews here for Cowboy Bebop XX: Mish Mash Blues.
Here's how we start: The story consists of 13 episodes that aired before this episode came out. Because of the violence portrayed in Japan, it was decided that there will be an extra special that never appeared on DVD.
The story will have the members of the Bebop that you've come to know narrate on how Bebop goes. They take turns narrating the episode about themselves and everything. The story is what enthused me, the Bebop talking to you instead of themselves, although there are some breaking the wall moments in the
...
pre-series Cowboy Bebop.
The music is very obsessive. This time, it's not just jazz, it has pop, hip-hop and rap. The music while the narrative goes on is what interested me to write this quick review about this great extra episode that happened during the series.
I really enjoyed this special. The music, the characters, the sound everything. The only thing I got shook up with is that there is no Steven Blum or any other actors in the special. It only has the Japanese people voicing the characters.
I think this episode might be good for kids to watch despite Knockin' on Heaven's Door and the original series. Since there's no language or suggestive dialogue, I think it might be O.K. for teenagers to understand. Not to mention, the series has a lot of funny commercials throughout.
Overall: A must-see.

When I heard that Metropolis was a really good movie from reviewers, I had to pick it up at the library and try it. Highly disappointed I found it to be extremely boring.
The story revolves around a city named Metropolis, a city filled with creation, structure, and many action. There is one scientist named Dr. Laughton, a Japanese detective named Shunsaku and his nephew Kenicihi. Soon, they arrive at Metropolis and the scientist (I guess or whatshisface) creates a robotic girl named Tima. Kenicichi befriends this girl and decides to help her through the dangers of the city.
Since I'm a child,
...
I couldn't really understand this movie. It didn't have enough action in it as I thought it would, but many adventures and suspense. The movie did have a tearful ending and some interesting scenes, but that still didn't enthuse me.
The art and animation style didn't bother me too much; it was beautiful. Much like a Hayou Miyazaki film such as Spirited Away or Cowboy Bebop The Movie or anything that was made in 2001 with the same art style. I loved how this film was drawn and the characters too (even though they're a little smaller than I expected). The animation was also beautiful as well as the art style.
The dub I guess wasn't too bad. Reminded me of some of the Fullmetal Alchemist actors who dubbed their characters (if they're in this film) and some of them sound like the ones from the Lupin III franchise. The little boy was very cute as well as the little girl and the scientist did well with his voice.
The characters weren't too bad. Very imaginative and the kids were very cute, but sadly, I didn't have much enthusiasm with them as I thought I would; but they seem very connected to this movie.
I didn't really enjoy this movie. Although, like I said, the animation/art/dub/characters didn't bother me too much so I guess I can't hate the movie, but it's just something that didn't really interest me as well as other movies out there in the world.
The movie was a HUGE disappointment compared to all the other 2001 movies I've seen which were FANTASTIC but this one has to be the worst out of them. The movie put me half to sleep and I didn't really focus on it too much, it just made me almost turn the television off and watch a different anime. But I had to watch it so that I could review this, sorry.

This was alot better than that crappy Azumanga Web Daioh, but still doesn't surpass the show.
It features the young high school girls. Everything is going fine until Osaka falls in love with Chiyo-chan and accidentally plunks her pigtails off. As she is crying, the high school girls try to find a way to make her better.
I really thought Chiyo-chan acted like a two-year-old in this. The girls treating her like a toddler with a lollie pop and everything is very cruel to a little girl.
Story: Really enjoyed the story alot. But the story turned into a twist, which made it more enjoyable. Still not as
...
good as the original Azumanga Daioh series.
Art: Much better than the two short and series of Azumanga I've seen. Azumanga Web Daioh, and Azumanga Daioh. It features the best of character designs any movie can have. And it could've really turned into a feature-length movie.
Sound: Well, there's no music, but the bouncy music absoloutely fits Azumanga and I liked the English Dub. Chiyo's crying was so cute and the girls' dub was also cute too.
Character: Very cutesy characters. Chiyo, the crybaby genius, Osaka, the friendly clumsy chick, Tomo, the very aggresive high schooler, and Sakaki, the shy girl. Loved all of their personalities.
Enjoyment: I really enjoyed this little short and I think it's good for all ages. Despite the profainty Azumanga Daioh and the failure Azumanga Web Daioh, I think Azumanga: The Short Movie is really enjoyable for kids who liked the show.
A very good movie to watch. Go ahead and watch it.

To me, I always thought "Figure 17" was a pretty darn good anime, but nothing really special.
Here is the story. Figure 17 is about a little girl who follows a shooting star to a spaceship in which contains a clone named Hikaru. I haven't seen this anime in a long time, but let me explain. Her twin sister tries to teach her courage, confidence, and happiness. And they all go on adventures, expierence many different things, and try to defeat beastly Maguars with the help of two aids named D.D. and Olienda (or whatever her name is). I know it's a slice of life story,
...
it raises up to about 13 episodes with 45 minutes of drama and 5 minutes of action and goes between summer and winter.
The story is the most enthusing part of Figure 17. As I said, it features a slice of life drama to about 5 minutes of action. The thing about the two twin sisters teaching themselves about life is really unique.
The art is very beautiful. Yes, I know it looks old, but the background of scenary and the characters are very interesting.
Sound, I always thought some of the characters sounded like the ones in Cowboy Bebop. Which really made me smiled. The music is very enthusing to watch and some of them are very sad compared to what this anime may be like at the end.
The characters seem to be a little shorter than I expected, but they had really great personalities. Tsubasa is kind of inevitable, Hikaru's selfless, the dad is caring, and Oldina and D.D. are both very helpful.
I enjoyed this anime from episodes 1-9 but throughout the rest, it becomes sad. And therefore, the anime always put me to sleep for a reason because Tsubasa and Hikaru are always worrying about defeating the Maguar's babies and not the mother. It's very boring to see, and that's why I give this anime a 7/10.

This is one of the worst Ova(s) I've ever seen. It focuses on a group of high-school girls (ncluding a ten-year-old child prodigy Chiyo-chan) who have her bring her videocamera to school one day. Then the overreacting Tomo-chan comes and messes everything up (which is funny as the usual, but not here).
Story: It still focuses on the group of high-school girls, but the story just wasn't my taste. It has the anime switching to video-game likeness and then realism, like it's flash-animated. And the story's really short like it should be a 27-minute special.
Art: The art was amazing as it always was, but this one
...
is even more dreadful. The characters look sloppy and unoriginal and it just seems like a bad flash on Newgrounds.com.
Sound: The Japanese dub was really annoying and irritating and where is the bouncy music they always play? it's like everything wound down and you're in the show.
Character: I disliked Chiyo-chan, but there's not much of her in this. Characters are taking the videocamera all around the school and meet friends and it just seems like everything went too quick.
Enjoyment: I never enjoyed this special. I was watching Lupin III while I was wondering why this pilot (or whatever) deserved so much hatred and I had to watch it and what a big disappointment it was. I was bored throughout the whole thing even the opening was too short and uninteresting.
Overall: I don't think this is very violent or profane, it just seems like it should be rated G - for all ages. Well, everything was all messed up and all, but please do not watch this crap. It's as horrible as Winx Club.

This series is very fun to watch. It's about a child named Chiyo-chan, she is admitted to high-school for three years. As she and the students continue to grow, she ends up becoming smarter and attempts to go to college. Azumanga Daioh gets really better when you dig in depper into the series. There are more likeable episodes and funnier scenes. The high school girls are very adorable especially the cute and adorable Chiyo-chan. The story is a little fast-paced in the later part of the series, but it's comedy does it good. The art on the character is very cutesy. It's English Dub is
...
O.K., some of the voices don't exactly fit the characters and it's probably because of their growing up thing. But the music was very fitting. The comedy can make you laugh through out the whole series. This is a very great comedy series and probably good for pre-teens (about 10-12) too.
Don't miss this great and unpredictable comedy series!

While not the best Miyazaki film, I still think this film was fantastic. I haven't seen Lupin III, but the plot to this was really cute and romantic (Pretty much like Castle in the Sky, but not as romantic as Howl's Moving Castle).
Story: At the beginning, the story is a little sappy, but it gets better as soon as Lupin goes off to find Lady Clarisse. Their romance is adorable. I loved both Lupin and Clarisse the way they start off their personalities as Clarisse (girly) and Lupin (excitable). The plot is a little jumpy, but I don't think it was too bad. 9/10
Art: Even
...
though I don't watch anime with art that looks cartoon-like such as anime shows like Heidi, Girl of the Alps, or A Little Princess Sara, I still thought it was nicely drawn and I loved the way the characters are drawn. 8/10
Sound: I was going to rate this a 9/10 for the new English Dub, but I instead rated it a 10/10. I thought the music score was fine and it is very relaxing. The new English Dub I didn't think was too bad, it really fitted the characters and their personna, so I don't mind the English Dub or the Music Score. 10/10
Character: I loved the characters and how their likeness are. My favorite has got to be Lupin, he pretty much reminds me of Mickey from Mickey Mouse and thus, he's the main character of the movie. The other main characters are very funny and the supporting characters show passion and likeness.
Enjoyment: While I was watching this, I didn't think it should be placed on Miyazaki's best films ever since it is old. My first Miyazaki movie had to be Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, I remember seeing that at like nine, and I used to think that it was Miyazaki's first film, but being now older, it's by population. Nausicaa had more watches than Lupin did. I have a strong sense of humor, so I giggled at a couple of parts, but I really enjoyed this movie overall. 7/10
Overall: Worth-watching and funny. Try it. 8/10

I have to say this was a really great movie and so beautifully animated from such a great series. I scanned through some of the first movie, and I'd have to say it was a HUGE disappointment for me according to the series. The first movie just didn't seem anywhere closer to its original series. It was much too fast-paced and I could not understand how the plot went. But this one, I picked it up from the library, looked at the screenshots and I was nervous this was going to be worst than the movie, but as I watched it, it appeared to be
...
more greater than the first movie. Seriously, it's like it follows the series. Sakura falls in love with another boy and she tries to dictate her love to him.
Animation: Well, the animation has gotten a littlle grimmier than the original movie and its series, but I still give the animation a little higher score just for my liking of this movie. As I'd say, the animation's more like Castle in the Sky, despite it's artwork was more of 90s style. And pretty much as dark as the first movie was.
Sound: I was always disappointed with the English Dubbed. And to my disappoint, Kero's voice has changed. Either later in the series, this movie or its original movie. It has changed to sound more like the Japanese Dub (which is cuter). I prefer to watch all Card Captor Sakura movies in Japanese because she sounds more like a little kid in Japanese for her age than in English Dub. And the music was pretty fitting and everything.
Characters: The characters were always a 10/10. Original concept and an imaginative idea of a little kid coming to town and Sakura suddendly falls in love with her. But since the characters have grown up and have entered middle school, they act more differently than in the series or their normal life.
Overall: A very good movie following another movie and focused on a great series. A must-watch and is very watchable.
