Preliminary (8/13 eps)
Just what is going on with Alderamin on the Sky? (Re-Upload)(Mild spoilers)
Today I rant.
For way to long (~6 min.) about a character that way to many people like

If the anime industry were a living, breathing person, she would likely be diagnosed with cancer. This cancer has a name; Pandering, Faceless Protagonists. Oh yeah, you’ve seen these guys around; anti-social drama queens like Kirito and Ouma Shu; bland bleeding-hearts like Tatsumi (Akame ga Kill); overpowered pretty-boys like Ayato; and, more recently, folks like Ikta Solork, the invincible, lazy pillock. These characters, and the shows they inhabit, are like Swiss cheese; they look good at ...

Does Re:Zero really suck?
More specifically, why does it suck? (And how Konosuba beats the pants off it)

…An academic bitch-fit by PeasantChan…

The anime community is going crazy for Re:Zero. Courtesy of Crunchyroll, even my damn Facebook feed is bombarding me with the latest and its gotten so crazy that I leave for five minutes and when I get back Wilhelm is slaying the cosmic space whale. But though it’s a whale of a tale, Re:Zero still fails. I couldn’t really bring myself to like it; I found the whole thing to be about as fun as stepping on legos and there’s a ...

This little mantra really caught my attention: "Lets make the Mech shows we want to watch!"

Is it possible? Could it be? A mech show that doesn't care about genre conventions or 'Gundam Guidelines'?
well... no... not really.

You see, to this day I'm still not really sure what Rebirth Storage was trying to be; taken as a first episode, absolutely everything went wrong after the show's cold open. Taken as a preview, I'd say they crammed in WAY too much of the wrong information.
I couldn't shake the feeling that the entire episode felt like one of those mid-season "recap episodes" that nobody really cares ...

ReLIFE (Anime) add
ReLife was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise hectic season.

I’m a little ashamed to admit that, at first, I didn’t really give ReLife much thought. But after they aired the whole thing in a single afternoon —which was a great choice— I decided to check it out. This turned out to be one of the better decisions I’ve made recently.
ReLife is a joy to experience; quirky, fun, sometimes predictable, but almost every episode left me smiling. Before I say more about what it is, its important to clarify what it isn’t; ReLife ...

Under the Dog (Anime) add
Just what is going on with Under the Dog?
In a nutshell, I think a lot of people have missed a pretty important memo.

Story time: In Seattle back in April of last year, some folks from the O-Network interviewed Jiro Ishii and Koji Morimoto, the writer and producer of Under the Dog, asking them about their upcoming OVA project. (reference below) Under the Dog was originally written back in 1996, and Ishii said he had intended it to be a 26 episode project. For the mid 90's, they thought the show was a little ahead of its time, so they tabled it for ...

Oh Hello there, I bet you're wondering why the 10/10 rating. Well thats because... well... I guess you got me there.

Honestly, Im not under the delusion that this show is more than a solid 7/10, but there's something about it that just makes me smile. More specifically, theres something about a man and his harem CRASHING THE ENTERPRISE ON THE SIDE OF MOUNT DOOM that just makes me smile. Yes, my fellow Trekkies, this ones for you.

Aside from that, unfortunately, theres really nothing here you haven't seen before. Once again, the devil is a part-timer, and with the exception of Raul's sister and ACTUAL CAPTAIN ...
