Unironically a 10?! You’d go into this manga thinking that it would be some weird comedy or satire, especially with the title “Molester Man.” Once you read it, you find that it’s actually a fantastic rom-com/drama about an incel slowly becoming a great person. This is also the most “real” anime romance that I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t often feel “played-up.” They don’t go to the aquarium, the school festival, the beach, or watch the fireworks at the big town festival. It’s a very realistic story of a guy becoming a real person to the point at which HE became the master of his own

fate, not the people around him.
This is an incredible story, and I highly suggest it to anyone looking into it. It can be hilarious like Grand Blue yet transition to series drama and then to a mind game in a heartbeat. It’s amazing, guys and gals. Just read it, and you’ll know.

Goodness. Wow. This manga is incredible. I have no idea why this series isn’t more well-known. A famous author duo writes it! Charming, witty, so adorable, legitimately tense and interesting, it has it all!
It feels like a combination of an adorable romance and Yu-Gi-Oh in the best way possible. A love letter to the late ‘90s and to MTG. As a person who never grew up in the ‘90s nor ever played MTG, I adore this manga. It really does make you fall in love with its characters and its story.
I really hope this series can be translated someday. It deserves to be more

Reading this series for the first time, six years removed from when it ended, I have to say that I legitimately enjoyed Toriko. It has an absolutely wonderful world, the kind you just want to get lost in. A fantastic cast of characters with different, truly unique kinds of powers. The beginning is a little slow, but some of the arcs later on are just incredible. The Pair arc in particular is especially amazing. People complain that the end was too rushed, but I honestly don’t think it was too bad. He did the quickening of the pace pretty well. Reading it all at once

is much better than I would guess it was to read weekly.
Just an incredible final fight. I was surprised just how terrifying Shimabukuro could make some of the villains look. Nothing has scared me in manga more than some of those terrifying, otherworldly faces. Komatsu is one of the sweetest and genuinely good characters in manga.
Overall, I highly suggest Toriko. If you enjoy One Piece, you’ll definitely like how this world is built. A much deeper series than you’d assume at first glance too. It’s really an enjoying read from a passionate mangaka.

Flavors of Youth is an anthology film like no others that I have seen. It resonated with me deeply in the way that people say Your Name did for them. It primarily focuses on the feelings and experiences we have during youth and the effects and consequences that we might have from them many years in the future.
Story:
Each story of the film focuses on a different main character, and their love and want for something. The first film isn’t the best story-wise but is beautifully told through its art. The second film is very character-based and is able to tell a coherent story but
...
is the least unique and touching overall. The third story was a masterpiece and put me in tears but quickly smiles at the end. I’ve never resonated with a story so well, and every part of that last part is amazing.
Art:
The backgrounds are truly stunning; almost every one is a work of art. Most of the character animations are very good, but some parts don’t seem to care too much about the character’s faces. The food, though. Mmm.
Sound:
The sound in this film is perfect. All of the sound effects are incredible and perfect for their scenes, and the music fits every scene perfectly.
Character:
The characters in these films are fleshed out enough so that we can understand them and their story. For such short stories, the amount of character building for every character is stunning, but the first story lacks severely in the character department.
Overall, I loved this film. I know that many may find this film not as interesting as I do or enjoy it as much, but I implore you to watch this anthology. You won’t be wasting your time on this gem of a movie.
P.S. There is a post-credits scene.

Darling in the FranXX began with such potential. A show done by Trigger, a studio well known for amazing anime, and by A-1 Pictures, a studio that has an amazing budget for Trigger to use with Hiroyuki Imaishii storyboarding the show. It began pretty strong and stayed that way until a bit over halfway through the show. The action was better than decent; the character interactions were fun; the drama was alright; everything seemed to be going well. Then, something ended, and the show lost its footing. It had no idea where to go or what to do and became a bad slice-of-life anime, culminating

in one of the most disappointing final collection of episodes I’ve Ever seen. Somehow, they made anime fights boring. The final episode ended in a satisfying way, but it never even got close to reaching how it was at the beginning and the potential it had. Throughout the entire show, I was expecting something else to happen, some random being or villain to come and save the show, but that thing never did show up. The story is just bad. The art is alright, but the character designs, save for Zero Two, are all incredibly bland and boring. The few fights at the beginning and a couple tracking shots are he best animation in the show, which, honestly, is very good. The sound is not great. A good OP, one good theme, and not much else. No starring battle theme to make fights actually interesting, not the best sound editing, just really rough on that front. Besides Zero Two, every character is awful. All writing for them is just trash, and none of the characters at even mildly interesting. I didn’t really enjoy this anime; I honestly just kept watching in hopes the ship might right itself, especially with the last episode supposedly being directed by Hayao Miyazaki. But, in the end, the show became a bore fest of epic proportions, losing all my interest in it, and becoming one of my most disliked and most disappointing shows I’ve Ever watched. Please, save yourself and don’t watch this show. It’s not worth spending so much of your time on this dumpster fire.
