This anime is far and above my favorite of this season. I always thoroughly look forward to all Noitamina anime, as they are almost always utterly amazing. Typically anime does not do sex scenes tastefully, aside from a few josei anime, or BL's, but it's nice to see a romance anime that can make me feel a bit steamy, if you know what I mean. Typically, anime dedicated to the male demographic is completely obscene, and has no plot - instead they get their views with oversized breasts bouncing all over the place, and up skirt panty shots. It saddens me
...
deeply to see how many anime of that nature there are, but at the same time, it makes the joy of finding an anime like クズの本懐 that much more powerful.
Story 10
As of this point, the story is amazing. The pacing is incredible - after every episode you can't help but click the next one desperately to see what happens next.
Art 9
Pretty much all the anime these days have amazing art. I think there were a few times when I felt like the way her mouth moved was more of an 8/10, but with the rest of the art being amazing, it's up at 9/10 overall. I also felt like some of the licking was excessive. Maybe I'm just more into biting than licking, so maybe this should go in the story section? I'm not sure - for me it was both visually strange, and strange in the context of the story.
Sound 9
Can't complain, the songs aren't 10/10 best ever, but they're still amazing, and I enjoy them thoroughly every time they come on, and listen to the opening and closing in their entirety every time.
Characters 10
Development is awesome, I find myself remarking out loud, sometimes at the top of my lungs, various passionate sentiments I feel about various characters, though I'd rather not spoil the story by sharing what those remarks are.
Enjoyment 10
I've made it to the last episode that has been released so far about 5 minutes ago, and I'm already in withdrawal. This anime is FANTASTIC. I enjoy it so thoroughly, it's definitely a 10/10 for me, which is an honor I do not give to very many anime. I enjoy hundreds of anime thoroughly, but the majority are kept at 9's to make room for only the very very very best at the top 10.
Overall 10.

This show is genius! It's a combination of the rude cartoon Shinchan, and the family movie "My Neighbors the Yamadas." I was looking for something different from the ordinary anime styles that seem to be getting repetative right now, and found Shin Atashinchi, a portrait of a Japanese family. If you're trying to learn Japanese, there's a whole episode dedicated to clever Japanese wordplay. This show is so real, I can guarantee that there will be hilarious bits on various things that happen to you all the time, but for some reason no one else ever talks about them. It

doesn't matter if you're male or female, young or old, this anime has strikingly relevant comedy situations for everyone. The art is kept minimalist for good reason, and very much lends itself to the average person much better because of it. Without too much detail, you can visualize yourself as the characters much more easily. It took me a few episodes to really get into it, nearing episode 20, I couldn't help but loudly cry out "This show is [*******] genius!"

This anime is one big TROLL. In the best of ways. I sat through 10 episodes thinking I hated the anime until a healthy dose of THC alerted me to how hard I was being trolled.
Honestly, I don't think I would have even made it through the series if I hadn't come here half way through and gotten some encouragement. I needed a couple of spoilers to see the big picture.
Noitanima likes to produce anime that entertains people other than just the 18-35 male audience, and they've never done me wrong. There's something for everyone, whether you
...
grew up watching power rangers or sailor moon. Just keep in mind that since they're reaching for a broader audience, there may be references you don't get because they came from anime outside of your childhood demographic. But all in all, this is a parody, and that needs to be stressed pretty hard. Maybe you would be better served to watch some of it while intoxicated. But if you got involved in the anime for the first 7 episodes, don't worry too much, the story line does return to sanity eventually.
Enjoy :D

This is by far my favorite anime of all time. Nothing short of an absolute masterpiece. It starts out slow, developing the characters in a typical slice-of-life style. They also slowly build the eeriness and intrigue with this strange world the Haibanes have woken up into. Half way through the serious, you will intimately know and love all of the characters. The first 8 episodes are rather slow, but they absolutely necessary to build up to the most intense, emotionally charged, heartfelt powerful ending of any series I've ever come across. I have never sobbed so bitterly about events that aren't even real. Tears

of sorrow, tears of joy, tears of relief, tears of laughter. This is an anime for the soul.
The artistry is a subtle pastel, strengthening the understated nature of the series. As for the music, there is nothing else like it. I have the entire soundtrack on my computer and listen to it and cry when I need that release.
This series is slow and understated, but overwhelmingly powerful. It'll shake you to your core.
