I'm a 30-something who has been watching anime for most of my life. I live in Northern California and I've regularly attended California conventions since 2003. I'm a collector of a variety of anime-related items, including autographs/original drawings, cels/production art, a huge amount of Pokémon merchandise, and all sorts of random merch related to series I love. I'm working on learning Japanese and go to Japan regularly (when it's not closed to tourists because of COVID, anyway...). I draw and participate in Artist Alley at cons, and I grew up reading and writing fanfics.

Some of the many things I'm especially obsessed with:
- Hunter x Hunter (especially Gon/Killua and Chimera Ant arc, but I love it all)
- Yoko Kanno
- The first few seasons of the Pokémon anime
- Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and TRIGGER works
- Cowboy Bebop
- Satoshi Kon's works
- AMVs

I try to keep an open mind and watch a number of different types of anime with different styles, genres, demographics, subjects, etc. The most important thing for me in a series is good storytelling and writing, but I also love soundtracks and sakuga.

I love talking about anime and I'm happy to make more friends, especially those with similar tastes to mine!

Outside of anime, I care for lots of animals, including two corgis and a whole bunch of birds (chickens, peacocks, ducks, pigeons, geese, etc.).
