Although the concept is different. The two Anime shows have oblivious guys (Kakeru and Rin) with their childhood friend (Yuka and Kaede) who have a crush and obsession for the main characters. Pretty much harem, jealousy, other important girl likes him, one dude part of the group, Gods, Demons, and supernatural. Difference is 11eyes is horror show trying to fight for survival while Shuffle is a romance harem story with drama.

Both are written and designed by the same writer and art designer. Chiaki Konaka, and Yoshitoshi ABe. Eerie and unsettling atmosphere with little dialogue and psychological elements. Disturbing scenes, depressing topics, dark Mood, heavy material, and artistic symbolic scenes. Lain and Ichise also share some similarities in their personality. Both characters are mostly quiet and emotionless until they act based on emotion on certain scenarios. Watching either one you are guaranteed that you are in for a treat.

First off. There's a lot to what makes Evangelion and Code Geass similar. 1. Obviously both series have Mechas and are piloted. 2. Shinji and Lelouch are protagonists with psychological and emotional conflict. Both have daddy issues and are haunted by dark pasts and have ideals. 3. Rei and C.C. Emotionless girls with serious importance to the story. 4. Kallen and Asuka. Both hot headed girls with troubled pasts. 5. Enemies and organizations like SEELE, Britannia, Nerv, Black Knights etc. 6. Sci-fi elements like Angels, Geass, Eva's, Knightmares. 7. Similar themes. Topics about human nature, what's right and wrong. Some symbolic scenes, Justice, psychological topics, secrets and conspiracy. In conclusion. Both are a must watch quality Anime's. Can't miss out on both.
