I'm now convinced that those 3 movies were a metaphor:
In the movie, something great like scientific progress and civilization leads to the kaiju; and similarly, someone behind some of the best anime ever (Fate zero, Madoka, psycho pass,...) gave birth to that monster of a trilogy.
What a powerful metaphor, and a beautiful way to get the message across.
Well, jokes aside, what a waste of time.
First, it's ugly, every movie in that trilogy was and this one isn't particularly better or worst. To be fair it's not even that bad and if the story was better or just mediocre (like the first movie), it would
...
have been okay.
But the story is, with the characters, the worst aspect of the movie it's full of plot holes, the characters are infuriatingly stupid and I feel like the creators had a list of clichés and made that story by slowly making sure to include each one of them.
Conclusion: What a fucking waste of time. Honestly, I decided to watch those movies because of the hype/hate train on the GodzillaVSKong trailer, which also made me watch the 2 American movies, and they were way better. Even the second one, where the story is about as bad as in that trilogy, at least the fights were pretty impressive, something you definitely can't say about those.

It's terrible, and I'm not part of the "everything after s1 is bad" team I actually really liked s2, but that movie is horrendous.
Story: Probably the worst part, I won't go into much detail to avoid spoiler, but to put it simply. The premise is interesting, so far the story was almost solely focused on the sibyl system so it's an interesting idea to show other government agencies and how they interact with the inspector. Well, at least it would have been if the other agency wasn't so dumb. And the premise is really the only part with potential the rest is cliché, with forced
...
"twist", and the ending somehow managed to be even worse than the rest.
Characters: I'm only going to speak of the ones introduced for that film since there's not much to say about the one introduced in previous seasons. They're all absolutely terrible, the supporting cast is bland and uninteresting, but the villains are where it gets really bad.
First, they're cliché, the instant you see them it's obvious that they're the villains just from the way they look: you got the hunched back mad scientist, the sexually inappropriate nurse, the bad mercenary who also a rival, and finally the cult leader with a creepy smile.
Secondly, they're dumb and wouldn't look out of place in your average (bad) children cartoon.
Also, they tried to flesh out a bit more some of the executioners but since the new characters they're made to interact with are so uninteresting it doesn't work.
art: meh, the CG isn't that great but it looks alright, definitely worst than what came before tho.
sound: Most of it is okay, again not as good as before but not bad... except for one thing, the VA for Izumi Yasaka (the drugged woman who crashes into the HQ at the start of the movie) does a terrible job, considering the lines she had to work with though, she probably isn't to blame.
Overall, don't watch it, almost everything in that movie is bad. And I've yet to watch the other 2 cases but it doesn't really seem like the event of that film will matter anyway.

An overall good anime with an interesting plot and setting, unfortunately, it fails to make full use of that setting and the last quarter is rather disappointing. However, it is disappointing in a way that doesn't ruin the rest of the show, so I think you should watch it as it the kind of weird anime which can easily become some people's favorite.
Unfortunately due to the show structure, it's hard to say much more without ruining some of the plot twists, so it will be a rather succinct review.
Plot and setting:
Deca Deca-Dence has a really cool setting, and no it's really not an Attack on
...
Titan reap off despite what the blurb or the first episode seems to indicate. However, its setting is also the anime biggest flaw, as it's really underused and even a bit incoherent at times. And like said before, the end is rather bad, it felt forced and rushed, I really think the anime would have benefited a lot if it had 22 episodes instead of 12.
Art:
Really good it does have some bad CG here and there (especially in the last few episodes) but nothing major and it overall looks really good. Moreover, the series has more than one art-style and makes good use of both.
Character:
A bit weak, most characters aren't really developed and a lot of them are only defined by one or 2 traits, but as the story only really focused on 2 of them that much development is enough, and no character comes off as incoherent or annoyingly simple.
With one exception, the girl main character, she is good most of the show but her development in the last few episodes (those again) is quite bad.
Also, the show regularly has character "transcending themselves", which is just another iteration of the usual "power of friendship"/"believed in yourself" bs. But aside from the last time (which obviously happened during the last few episodes), it's overall a well-used concept.
Sound:
It's good nothing really memorable except for one track, which is kind of the theme song of the series and is cleverly used.
Overall, I would recommend it, especially since you only need to watch the first 2 episodes to know if you will likely it, and as I said at the start even if the ending is disappointing it doesn't ruin the show.

(After vol1 of the LN) It's not so bad but disappointingly cliché.
The first thing to speak of about this series is that the title and blurb are misleading, it's a really generic power fantasy harem isekai with some comedy, the mastermind and organization stuff are ultimately just a gimmick and mostly irrelevant.
First the story:
A guy wants to be a mastermind in the shadow -> trains a lot -> realized it's not possible on earth -> is reborn in another world with magic -> create an organization to fight off the cult of Diablo (a completely made up enemy).
The start is actually quite good, the MC
...
training and death on earth making for a fun parody of the usual isekai tropes, and his infancy and childhood in the new world serving as a nice introduction to the story.
It's after that that things start to go south, first there's too much time skips: the whole creation of the organization is skipped, we also don't see how the MC deal with his lies. Which if, like me, you've started reading expecting a story about a mastermind controlling both sides... Is rather disappointing.
But at least the story is rather quick to show it's true colors, and we rapidly see that: the organization doesn't matter it runs itself, every lies of the MC just turn out to be true so he doesn't have to deal with it, and the actual goal of that series is just to follows the double life of the MC.
That life consisting of 2 sides: his public identity where he tried (and fail) to appear as a normal student and Shadow the cool op and (above all else) edgy anti-hero fighting a cult.
After that there's no real story we just follow the MC while both his organization and the cult act out, nothing particularly interesting and overall quite predictable.
3/10
Characters:
It's hard to judge the characters mostly because most are so irrelevant, but the few that are developed have some interesting interaction so it's not that bad.
First the MC: he is the best character and by far, unlike most protagonists from similar stories he is quite apathetic towards others and doesn't shy away from being amoral if need, sadly he is also a dense moron.
Overall he is quite fun to follow around and his focus on acting cool or like a normy (depending on his identity) makes for some good comedy.
Sadly the other characters are barely worth mentioning, most have a name, a function, and some basic personality trait and that's it, even the girls appearing on the cover and color images are mostly just plot devices. And when they get some development it's usually just for that arc and they go back to being irrelevant after that
Also don't expect other male characters to be important, they're all either background characters, enemies or pathetic tag along whose function is to make the MC look good.
That said none of the characters are annoying and the interactions are for the most part pretty well written.
5/10
Worldbuilding:
To put it simply there's none, be it geography, politic, or magic we only know the bare minimum for the story to kind of make sense.
1/10
Art:
8/10 Really good, the girls' design is especially good. But it's a novel so it doesn't really matter.
All that said despite all the negative it's overall not that bad as the writing is good and the story flows well never being particularly good but also never really annoying. Surprisingly there few true comedic moments, but the few there is are good.
5/10
To conclude if you like that kind of cliché power fantasy it's can be an enjoyable, if predictable, read.
If you would rather read something closer to what's described in the blurb give a try to "There Was No Secret Evil-Fighting Organization (srsly?!), So I Made One MYSELF!".

There isn't a lot to say about that series, and whether or not you should give it a try is summed up by that question: "Do you want to follow a cute op girl doing cute op thing in an MMO with other op and sometimes also cute friends ?".
-If the answer is yes then go on, it's not a great LN with interesting plot and characters but it's clearly not trying to be that anyway, it's just a relaxing fluffy story about a cute girl.
As far as I've gone it doesn't seem like there's any bigger plot either, it's just an MMO and it
...
doesn't seem like the management has some hidden agenda or that there's some hidden truth behind the game.
-If the answer is no then, don't bother there's nothing here for you, if you want a MMO LN try "Infinite Dendrogram" which for all its flaws does have deeper stories and characters.

It's not really good, humor is really subjectif so you may find it funny but, for me, just being inaproprietly sexual isn’t enought to qualifie as funny, Ueno's inventions were kinda fun tho.
Concerning the rest:
- the sound and animation are okay, what you would expect for that kind of comedy, the art style is cool
- The characters are kind of an issue, their personality is generic but nothing terrible, the problem is that they are middle schooler. And while I'm not naive enough to think that middle schooler don't like sex jokes, here it's a bit too much and their age make everything feel a
...
bit creepy.
Overall it's not that terrible, if you like the humor you will probably find the show enjoyable, but if like me you don't then that plus the characters' age make it really not worth watching.

Like so many have said before, Black Clover (from now on BC) is cliché if you've read any shounen before you will have a lot of déjà vu moment.
That said it's not as terrible as some can say or as the anime can make it seems.
Story:
Surprisingly, BC's story isn't that bad or even that cliché, it does start like your usual shounen with Asta (the MC) and Yuno (the rival) getting their power and deciding to compete to become the wizard king. Obviously, MC is an underdog and goes into the misfit team, women fall for him, he discovers that he has some super
...
ultra rare totally not op power, happen to be in the middle of every big event, ... the usual.
But the author manages to develop and hint at something bigger happening in the background, which ends up making for a rather good twist.
That said after that twist everything goes down with asspull left and right.
Art:
Most of the time it’s okay, the usual quality for shounen manga but it can become really good, especially during big fights, and the character's design is good most of the time. However, the background and the world, in general, is rather bland.
Characters:
The second biggest weakness of the series, most of them are bland and cliché, and the character development is really shallow, most characters will do a 360 and resolve their problems in one fight, at worst a day or 2 with the MC.
The fight:
Surprisingly for that kind of series the fights are bad, like really bad. First, except for 1 fight (maybe 2), there's no strategy, the characters always won thanks to getting some last-minute power-up or using some asspulled never introduce before power. And I know some people will say that the character gaining new power during the fight is part of the power system, but then why does it only happen for the MC and his fried and never for the enemy, the power system does a really bad job at explaining what is, in the end, some power of friendship bs.
And speaking of the power system it's also rather bad, powers are most of the time very loosely defined, mana is never a problem except when the plot needs it, apparently, there's a system of weakness between element but since everything is won by bs power it's basically never user.
And obviously, the MC never goes down but most antagonists only need one bs new power move to be defeat.
Everybody seems to have superhuman strength and resistance without any justification, especially Asta. And speaking of Asta, the author shouldn't have given him swords if they work as a club and never cut any opponent, only inanimate objects and living being that can regenerate.
You may have noticed that the last 2 categories were rather negative, but the manga is really good on 1 thing: its pacing. The story is quick with good transitions between each event. And that alone is what let the manga be a fun quick read and not garbage, but it's also one of the reasons why character development is rather bad.
Overall it's far from being a great manga but if you like shounen and want some quick funny story then it's a good choice.

It's only an introduction so don't expect too much from that one episode by itself, the art and sound are good, the way they handle the characters and the link to Fate zero is well done, so personally, I'm definitely watching the series when it air.
That said the story of that episode is nothing great, it shows us that while Waver situation may have improved he still looks down upon by other mages and has made enemies some of it who even try to kill him, but nothing more.
Aside from Waver and Grey (his disciple), most characters are only introduced by their link to know
...
characters or their position in the association.
But once again story or character development clearly are clearly not the goal of that episode which is just here to give a quick introduction on what happens to Waver, the situation with his disciple, the setting in general, and the art and sound; the rest can be left to the real show.
The atmosphere is also looking really good, kinda similar to "The ancient magus bride", and it's cool for once to get a Fate series not center on a holy grail war of some sort, since the only other I can think of are Kara no Kyoukai which is only loosely connected to fate and Fate food and Carnivals phantasm which are comedies.
Overall, I think it does a really good job as a teaser and introduction to the upcoming anime.

A good novel if you're not against exposition and slow pace.
It's a pure fantasy novel, with some very slight video game elements (like dungeons and something which vaguely resemble exp).
Despite what the covers may let you think, it's not a harem, there's a main girl Lorraine who is the only one to really interact with the MC, the other girls on covers are clients, enemies, allies, friends, student, or unknown, but their interaction with the MC is fairly limited.
To start with what doesn’t work:
- Too much monologue, if you have ever heard of that series, it's likely you've also heard of how much the
...
MC like doing long monologues. And overall that not much of a problem, in fact, it helps flesh out the world and characters and for the most part they're well-timed. But the problem is that they're too frequent and some time they break the rhythm or the atmosphere of a situation.
- The pace, once again not that problematic but it's at times a bit too slow.
- The art, which is a real problem, well it's a novel so not that much but still it's ugly. Not entirely that said, the cover and color pictures are okay, but the insert pictures are terrible especially in volume 1, hopefully, it's getting better and while it's still definitely not fantastic, vol 5 pictures are okay.
Into the good parts:
- First the characters, only a rather small number are really fleshed out but it's also the only one we consistently see, and they're good, nuance, with for most a good development.
- The world-building and power system: with all those monologues and exposition the contrary would have been strange but still it's interesting and original.
- The tension, it's not that great, but it still does a good job at showing us how some characters or monsters are way above the MC, despite the fact that he appears a bit op at times.
Overall it's a good fantasy novel, with good characters and world-building if you don't mind exposition and a rather slow rhythm.
The manga is also good, with really good art but it heavily cut on the exposition.

The 5 is for Shinoa, at least during the first 2/3 of the anime, her smugness was the best part of the anime, without her I would have rated the show 4.
Best girl apart (not that there's any competition all the other women are forgettable), it's a cliché shonen.
Let's start with the qualities:
- Shinoa, and by that I mean the comedy which is surprisingly quite good, especially the first half which was pretty fun, mostly thank to best girl, and she is cute which is always a plus.
- the chara design and art in general, are quite good however, the background and characters don’t always
...
fit well.
- the sound is also good, nothing particularly great but it does its job.
- the anime does overall a fairly good job at showing power level without exposition.
The show unfortunately as quite a number of problems, especially in the second half.
- first the characters, aside from Shinoa and Guren, they're all pretty cliché and forgettable, but hopefully manage to not be annoying most of the time, Mika (the second male lead) however manage to be really annoying and frustrating despite having little screen time.
- the story is cliché, it's a typical revenge story fight for liberty in a post apo world, with the usual cliché MC who is bold, has a dark past and a secret power which could take over his mind if not for the power of love and friendship.
- lastly and by far the biggest flaw of the series, the combats are terrible and boring. There's no strategy, most of the time only one thing happens at a time even when there are more than 2 characters fighting, people can talk forever while the enemies do nothing, everything is slow, the tactics are mostly terrible. Overall it's bad and for me, it's what doom the series if the combat had been fun it could have been some mindless action with some good humor and serviceable characters, but the combats made the second half just boring.
To conclude there are better shows to watch if the concept seems interesting to you, you're maybe better of reading the manga, I doubt it will be worst, in fact, the combat seems to be dull because they're too close to how it would be done in a manga and it doesn’t really work for an anime.
