i did not read the tpn manga and i still thought it was pretty bad, specially compared to season 1.
it wasn't clever, or heart breaking or thrilling. it was nothing like season 1. and i was defending the show up to it's ending. episode 5 was terrible, but i still had hope. but after episode 8 the show just completely fell apart.
it ruined one of my favorite characters of all time (mother isabelah). it was filled with plot convenient and exposition. it felt rushed, like nothing had enough build up to be meaning full. none of the twists were unexpected, and none of them hit hard. when norman was revealed to be alive i didn't feel anything, and that was the first time something like this ever happened.
TPN season 2 was bad, very bad. and it has nothing to do with being a manga reader. I haven't read a single page of the tpn manga, and i know for a fact that it's the same for most people who watched tpn season 2.
i think you are either in complete denial, or don't know much about writing, pacing, directing, ext.
