It's a simple heart-touching story. The anime definitely should have an Iyashikei tag. Little Lars gets separated from his father while he was asleep. Poor thing has to go through a lot before he reaches an island in Africa. There he meets a kind Hippo who takes him to his friend, Drago, an eagle. The journey to Drago was not an easy one. But Lars gets to enjoy so many new things, so many new animals, and foods. And deep in my heart, I felt a little sad for him, because Lars won't be able to do any of it when he gets home. Because
...
though it's his home, the North Pole has nothing but white and snow.
But Lars does get home sound and safe, on the back of an Orca. Now, I was a little worried here cause I was expecting some sort of antagonist. I thought the orca would try to kill him or something. But the orca was a good guy too. In the end, Lars reunites with his dad and tells me all the things about his adventure. It was a happy ending. And I am happy.

I am extremely sorry to say I didn't like it at all. I kind of hated it. And here are some reasons why:
1. Could the characters be any more one-directional? This is one of the major elements that make an anime extremely boring. I have never seen an FL more confused and lame than Ichiko. Not even Hanazawa Kana's angelic voice could hold my attention towards the anime. The last time I saw an anime this boring was Snow White with Red Hair Season 2.
2. Why in the world are the adults acting like teenagers?
3. The 10 years age gap isn't a big deal for
...
me. But falling in love with a 17-year-old, who is still not out of high school, and 10 years younger than me? I don't think I feel very good about the theme at all. How is this okay? Is this a common culture in Japan?
4. The animation is pretty average. It's not easy on the eye.
5. The ML is annoying as fuck.

A Letter to Momo is one of the most stand-alone anime movies and yet it was a total letdown for me. The anime was very lengthy. The story was filled with unnecessary details. The three demons were extremely ugly. But that is not even the point. The point is that they were extremely annoying. The animation was average. I have seen way better way many times.
The playing was so slow the 2-hour duration was very hard to pass, at least the first 1.5 hours. I definitely got some 'Spirited Away' vibes from the film. But in quality, it wasn't even close.
I won't recommend this anime.

Yeah, I don't have a "It literally means..." line for this one.
But man oh man. Was it a blast! Monogatari Series: Second Season exceeded all my expectations. I will try to make this review as much spoiler-free as possible. I will also give a sort of episode guide. So bear with me, please.
Monogatari Series: Second Season is based on 5 NisioIsin novels. This means within 23 episodes, there are five different arcs. I said 23 because there are 3 recap episodes in the total of 26 episodes. So the anime actually has 23 legit episodes. Let's discuss the story by arcs.
1. Tsubasa Tiger (Based
...
on Nekomonogatari 2nd volume): Episode 01-05
Remember how Hanekawa used to turn into a cat demon because of all the stress in her life? Well, there is a new demon in the town this time and it is a tiger. In this arc, you will get to get a glimpse of Koyomi's mother. She is a rude bitch. So don't bother.
2. Mayoi Jiangshi (Based on Kabukimonogatari): Episode 07-10
August 21 is the date the school will be opened after summer vacation. But Koyomi has not done a single homework. So he curiously asks Shinobu if she could arrange a time travel so he would have one more day to finish all the homework. Shinobu the Godly demon she is, arranges time travel. But instead of a day, they travel back 10 years in the past.
3. Nadeko Medusa (Based on Otorimonogatari): Episode 12-14
Now, after watching this arc, I have come to the conclusion that Sengoku Nadeko is indeed the most (or the second most?) complicated character in the franchisee. And who is this Oshino Ougi? Is she really the niece of my Meme-sama? Is she a she? This arc ends with a cliffhanger.
4. Shinobu Time (Based on Onimonogatari): Episode 17-20
A darkness has come to the town. It has come to serve retribution to the oddities that have strayed from their paths. But this is not the first time the darkness as such has come. Shinobu recalls a memory from her Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade days, where she almost got swallowed by the same darkness.
5. Hitagi End (Based on Koimonogatari): Episode 21-26
The story continues from the Nadeko Medusa arc. Senjougahara contacts Kaiki Deishu to save her and Koyomi from Nadeko. After watching Nisemonogatari, I didn't know whether to like Kaiki or not. But trust me, you will definitely love him after you watch this arc. Also, my oh my, Miki-shin did such a great job!!! Though this arc resolves the cliffhanger of Nadeko Medusa, the arc itself ends with a cliffhanger which I am hopeful will be solved in Hanamonogatari.
My Personal disappointment is there was still no news of my beloved Meme-sama and not enough screen time for the fire sisters.
And I would really like to know about Kaiki's past.
Happy Watching!!!

Ougo Mitsunaga wa Namagoroshi ga Tsurai is a very cute manga containing only 9 chapters. I just thought I should write a quick review of it.
The art is above average. The characters are easily likable and the ending was very satisfying. The chapters are not very long. The story does not drag. The chapters end before you even start to feel bored.
If you want a quick good read, I highly recommend it.
Oh, and read the prequel first, please. Happy Reading!!!
By the way, these two manga were the author's first non-BL manga. I think she did a very great job.

Well, it's practically a soft-core hentai and I never thought I would write a review of an anime of this sort. But this anime really added something new to this genre. A meaning I suppose. Two characters scarred by their ex-partners (They were both cheated by their partners) in the past found a comfort zone with each other's presence and intimacy. This anime is not like the other smut romance anime where the main motto is 'Let's Bang'. There were mainly two actual sex scenes and both with each other's consent. There was no inconclusive consent.
And overall I liked this anime.

It literally means Fake story, I guess?
Nisemonogatari is the second title of the monogatari series, release wise off course. First let me say this one is entirely about Koyomi’s sisters, Araragi Karen and Araragi Tsukihi AKA the fire sisters. We can divide the whole anime into two parts, where the first one deals with Karen-chan and the second one deals with Tsukihi-chan. Bakemonogatari revealed next to nothing about Koyomi’s sister except that they somewhat existed. But as this series in mostly about them, you’ll get to see them plenty.
If you think you have seen enough pervert activities of Koyomi in Bakemonogatari, Honey, you’ve seen nothing.
...
Both his lolicon and siscon activities really bothered me because I actually kinda like this guy. His perversion knows no bounds. You’ll get to see the sweet cute Hachikuji again. Her presence will give you joy (If you like her in the first place. I like her. So I was happy to see her again). Hanekawa will be in the series too. Sadly there was no Meme. You guys have no Idea how I missed that guy. But, there will two new characters, Kaiki Deishuu and Kagenui Yozoru. They are classmates of my beloved Meme-sama. But their presence only made me confused about Meme-sama’s age. Because Kaiki looked he is in his early 40’s or late 30’s. But I don’t want to imagine Meme-sama being above his early 30’s. Hmm. He was also the imposing exorcist that Senjougahara went to for her weight lose mystery. Kaiki Deishuu is voiced by Miki Shinishirou. I was again mesmerized by his talent in voice acting.
In the second part, Kageuni Yozoru arrives with her shikigami Ononoki Yotsugi. They are fine people. You will like them. But the last words of Yozoru gave me goose bumps.
I guess I’ll end this with something Oshino-kun would never say. Sayonara.
In this anime you will see some action of Shinobu, the golden haired vampire that lives under Koyomi’s shadow (Imagine a vampire living under your shadow. How cool is that?!).
The anime follows the same pattern as the previous one. And Monogatari series has outstanding animation. No comment on that.
I have finished three titles of Monogatari series by far (Yes, I have seen Nekomonogatari too). And one thing I can guarantee you is that the ending will never disappoint you.
Happy watching.

Aren’t we all just a bunch weirdos...
The name of this anime came to me through many videos called “Funny anime moments” and as such titles in Youtube. And it was in the hard disk of my pc for quite a long time until I finally decided to watch it.
It was unexpectedly good. But I liked the characters more than the plot.
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou is the daily life story of the people living in the Kawai complex but also it is the story of a teenage boy pursuing his senpai to get closer to her (this is the boring part).
The Kawai Complex is literally the
...
carnival of weirdoes living in. There is Shirosaki, the ultimate definition of a masochist, Mayumi, the one who is bad with alcohol and relationships, Sayaka, the university student with a sweet yet sharp tongue, Ritsu, the bibliophile and socially awkward, Usa, the main protagonist and Sumiko, in charge of the boarding house.
As there is not much to say about the story let me write something about the characters.
My most favorite character here is Shirosaki. He is a total masochist, very good with binding things up. His age is unknown but I am guessing mid twenties. He is a pervert but not a pedophile. He has a strict rule about not getting involved with girls’ bellow 18. Rather, he is more interested in their moms. But inside, he is a very wise and caring guy, very handy with crafting. Always makes things for the boarders to have fun with, mostly I think is to make Mayumi feel better. He used be a writer too. It’s a shame his eyes are always covered by his hair. He oddly reminds me of Urahara Kisuke from Bleach.
Mayumi is an office lady, on her late twenties I assume. She likes alcohol, gets drunk pretty easily and has bed taste in men. She always torments Usa about his virginity. She is a funny character. Satiu Rina did an amazing job with the voice.
Sayaka is a university student. I didn’t like her at all at the beginning. But I loved her when the anime ended. She is very sharp tonged. Always covered in the makeup. Likes to toy around with men even if she doesn’t have any interest in them. She has a cat and mouse relationship with Mayumi which is really enjoyable.
Usa is the main protagonist. He is crazy about Ritsu. His only flaw is he is too nice, even to the people who treat him like shit. I can’t stand too much niceness. Iguchi Yuuichi did a fine fine job.
Ritsu is the main female protagonist. She is a bibliophile and very unsocial. But she is unbelievably boring. At least in my opinion. She had the least character development in the anime. In my account of course.
There was an episode about a sexual molester, I loved that episode.
The anime was very funny, main stream and easy to follow. If you decide to watch, it won’t be a waste of time.
Happy watching.

The movie wasn't even sad but I felt like crying anyway...
I won't say I have seen a great deal of anime, but this one was by far the most relatable to life.
Okajima Takea is a 27 year old office lady who visits the countryside on her vacation. On the way to her journey and during her say in the country, she seemed to recall her 10 year old self again and again. And I can relate to them all. The struggle of having elder siblings, not doing well in the exam, first love confession, first period talk and boys reaction to it and
...
even mothers have their flaws. I can relate to them all. I was watching the anime and the whole time I was like... it's the story of my life. And I hope the decision she made at the end will make her happy and leave her with no regrets. Studio Ghibli has so many good titles and this one I found was a hidden gem.
Now for the animation. First let's bear this fact in the mind that the movie is from 1991. The kids from Takea's nostalgia were all cute and the other characters were fine too. But in the present the characters were not sketched well I will say. Especially Takea looked older than her age. But the surroundings were amazing (Nothing less can't be expected from Ghibli I guess)
I don't have any complains about the characters. They were all very natural.
Nothing of the background sound seemed unnatural. I really really loved the ending song.
For the lending I would like to thank Studio Ghibli for such a great movie. And I don't think people will read my review any way But I highly recommend this title.
Happy watching everyone.

It literally means ghost-story
How do I feel about Bakemonogatari? In a sentence it's different, beautiful and I found it satisfying. Now let's talk in details about it. Shall we?
Story:
At first (I mean for the first episode) everything seemed really confusing. But with time thing started to settle in a pattern. Araragi Koyomi is a highschool boy who is a post-vampire( I mean, he was a vampire for some time. Now he is not). He can recognize or sense aberration very naturally and that's how he was familiarized with Senjougahara Hitagi. Koyomi knows a guy named Oshino Meme(Yes, his name is Meme. And I love
...
him) who knows how to deal with these aberrations. Soon Koyomi meets more aberrations like Hitagi and that is how the story flows.
Animation:
Graphically Bakemonogatari has a lot different animation that other anime I would say. It was different and I loved it. I think this type of art is exactly what this anime needed. The background, the characters, the surroundings, I loved everything.
Sound:
I want to talk about the background music that is played where a bunch of scene is shown with just a bunch of line. The suspense that held that music is appraisable.
Character:
Araragi: Or Koyomi, it's his first name. Most the characters are female but the main protagonist is a male. He has an ahoge on his head that moves a lot( I mean a lot a lot). He was once a vampire for sometimes but he is recovered from that. He still has some superpowers though. I liked Araragi more that I thought I would. He is kind of a pervert( the kind a typical teenagers like). But doesn't like to act like one. Yes, he is all about saving people and friends but not in the typical way we see in the shounen anime
( like screaming how he will definitely save all his loved ones by beating the crap out of the enemy). He just wants to help despite anything. He cares. That's what makes him so great.
Senjougahara: She is my most favourite female character by far. As a woman myself I am always kind of disappointed by the female characters in anime about their character developments are not so great. But I am really to find that Senjougahara Hitagi is a really well written character. She is violent, shows almost no emotion on her face and brutally honest. She is the ultimate example of Tsundra(Yes, it's tsundra not Tsundere). The way she confessed was mild blowing. I love her. Chiwa Saito's voice acting added a new dimension to her chilliness.
Hanekawa: She is like the total encyclopedia. She knows everything. But still you will hear her say It's not like I know a lot. I just know what I know. She is a kind character with a pathetic family story.
Hachikuji: A middle schooler hanging around with her schoolbag. Araragi likes to tease and harass her. And she always mispronounces his intentionally and says she is sorry that she stuttered. I also loved her voice.
Kanbaru: I thought I wouldn't like her. But she came out to be great. And also Miyuki Sawashiro did a really great job.
Oshino Meme: Yes. You are not wrong. HIS NAME IS MEME AND HE IS THE MY MOST FAVOURITE CHARACTER IN THE ANIME. He is kind of an exorcist who has a vast knowledge about spirits, demons and gods. He did mention supernaturalism or something was his subject in college. He has a mind blowing confidence and an aura around him which is hard to ignore. He is a laid back, homeless person. He is the one who revived Araragi.
Overall?
I loved this anime and I will definitely finish the whole Monogatari series. I also highly recommend this anime.
Happy watching.
